First and most importantly, the people. Service was awesome. Bartenders seemed so genuine like your ideal friendly neighborhood bar. They strike up an actual conversation with you. Amazing beer selection for both those feeling adventurous and for those who stick to what they know. TVs inside and out on the patio to watch the game. They seem to put multiple games on if you need to multitask. Love the wooden interior and the leathery booths. Seating options for small groups, large groups and spots for those going solo. Food Backyard Burger: 10/10 Exactly what you're looking for and the double patty wasn't insanely filling. More room for snacks! LA Pretzel: 6/10 Not the best pretzel. Plus I like mine with salt crystals but the game was on and we bought it for good luck! Easy to snack on but don't save it for last like we did since it gets cold and dry if it sits out. Comes with both cheese and mustard. Points for that. Can't go wrong there. Hoping to try more snacks and desserts next time! Overall, this is a great spot to catch up with a group of friends, maybe a casual date, or even swing by just to watch the game. I'll be back soon!

A great vibe will be found here. The drinks are delicious and their beers are wonderful. It has an old LA feel when you are seated at the bar. The staff are friendly, the music they play (when I was there), is the music I listened to in the 1970's and everyone is down to earth. It's a fun, local watering hole that I enjoy to go to in Echo Park.

This place is cool! If you're looking for food I recommend the spicy chicken sandwich with a basket of tater tots. I will say to be careful though because it does pack a spicy punch. If you're not so keen on spice you can go with their regular one but I truly recommend the spice one, but only if you can handle the HEAT!! I gotta thank the bartender for recommending it. It's definitely gonna be my go to meal at The Douglas. It's right next to the Dodger Stadium, so if your looking for place to celebrate after a win. It's definitely the go to spot!

This place is a go to from Dodgers Stadium. The service here is great. The drinks are good here. This bar is in a nice area in LA

Parking is a hassle, but food is good and beer is always flowing. I light burger and seasoned fries can never go wrong.

The Douglas - a.k.a. The Ducklas This joint has a vast and storied history. I just don't know what it is. I do know that it involves ducks, golf, burgers, beers, chill locals and Dodgertown. The beer selection was ridiculous. The FALAFEL was out of this world. And the TATER TOTS slayed. My buddy asked for some HOT SAUCE that had him in a drippy 'n angry sweat for a good half hour. If you love the heat, try that stuff. These guys also serve breakfast Wednesday through Sunday 9a-Noon.

Short: An old school hole in the wall bar with tasty bar food, house brewed beer and a great atmosphere. Long: I really enjoyed my time at The Douglas, this old school bar is a hole in the wall and I highly recommend checking out! Great atmosphere for a Dodgers game as well. The bar food was really good, good flavor for a solid price! I really enjoyed the patty melt, the crunchy toast and the beef patty's were both crispy but full of flavor! The Douglas features a large selection of house beer and ciders, I tried the House Pilsner and I really enjoyed it! Service was friendly and nice. Overall, if in the area and looking for some solid beer and pub food this is a top pick!

Popped by here with my friends before a Dodger game. I got the Caesar salad and chicken wings. The Caesar salad was packed with flavor. And the chicken wings were absolutely amazing, perfectly seasoned and didn't even need a sauce for dipping. My bf absolutely loved his ground beef nachos. When I say the ground beef was delicious, I am not exaggerating!!! To be fair all the food my friends purchased looked tasty as well as they agreed the food was amazing. This place has a very relaxing energy with outside seating. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. Come here and grab a bite to eat!

A bicycling group stopped by for a quick breather in the lot before heading back out. Event organizers were shuffling unsuspecting casual onlookers into playing regulars. In and around the brewery, focused chess matches were set up in dimly lit cosmic lighting, a stark contrast to the commotions from the music and the Lakers game on TV. Upstairs inside the brewery the attendees traded the cool, evening air for a noticeably stuffier experience. The space contained mostly beginner mahjong games as well as chess matches. I had the chance to engage in both activities and had a blast even though I got my butt kicked. Would love to come back and play a few more rounds with a drink in hand.

All about the Boomtown Brewery!…read more This Arts District favorite is a beat away from Union Station where I typically make my way over from to enjoy all the good good that Boom has to offer. Located on Jackson Street between N Vignes Street and Center Street (but actually on the corner on Vignes) you can find local street parking throughout the area, but nothing beats a train ride or a ride share to enjoy responsibly. Always have a great time here on the inside or their long patio with flat screens outdoors (as well as in) to catch the latest events. DJs always spinning the best beats. The brewery where the make the magic is pretty spacious yet intimate. Was able to go on a tour here and learn more about the ins and outs. The taproom is stellar for group hangs and socials. Pool tables, photo booth, arcade style games, loungey area, communal seating, and local food vendors who come out and serve up great eats. Not as many vegan friendly spot, though the few that are on select days and times are pretty solid. If you're an IPA enthusiasts they have at least 6 on the rotation including the Nose Job (7% abv) and a personal fav. Their Hydration Break WC IPA, is a little more of India Pale Ale punch (7.4%), but you can't go wrong with any. Flights are still a recommend if you want to feel out the variety. For Hard Seltzer lovers, you've got the Frosty Fresco or Al Fresco. Fruit Snacks Lager is surprisingly epic as is the Brett Michael's Blonde Sour. I do miss some of their more seasonals such as the red lager aka Part-Time Lover but do enjoy all that's on the rotation. You can pop in for events like Friday Karaoke, Tuesday Taproom Trivia or Open Mic Mondays. Book a private event for all style of events. Family and pet friendly until 7pm. Beer and wine packages available with up to 300 person capacity. No matter the day... Still come for the beer, stay for the cheer. Take in the rustic decor, artsy vibes outdoors. Their menu consisted a huge selection of beer, sausages and dipping sauces for fries. We opted for the Duchesse sour, Dr. Browns Black Cherry pop, Duck sausage, Buffalo sausage, and small fries with curry ketchup. The ambience was great! It felt like a beer hall since it had long tables and benches in the middle, everyone was drinking beer having a great time. There were also smaller cozier tables on the side if you wanted a more intimate space. We enjoyed our drinks and people watched while we waited for our food. The Duchesse red ale sour was really yummy, it was a good balance of sweet and tartness. We got the duck, bacon, and jalapeño sausage with sweet peppers and caramelized onions, the hot dog was delicious!! The sausage was a bit rich but the savory flavours were incredible, it was grilled well with a nice crispy skin and paired really well with the sweet peppers. You also get a huge selection of different mustards to try - yellow, dijon, seeded, honey, brown, you name it, they've got it. The buffalo, cherry and mint sausage was very good as well, but it's a bit more dry and gamey than the duck. The grilled bun is just ok, it's a solid blank canvas to highlight the tasty sausages. The fries are fat boys and seasoned very well. I normally am not a fan of thick fries but these changed my mind, the curry ketchup gave it a nice complexity as well. I just wish they gave you more sauce since the fries are so chunky. :) Had a really fun time overall and can't wait to come back and try their other sausages and beer options.
