The food is terrible and doesn't resemble Sudanese cuisine or anything Mediterranean. Rubbery teriyaki chicken, a weird and cold spaghetti dish, an entire tray of mashed potato flecked with mushrooms, three platters of bone dry and flavorless hummus - pita bread had to be asked for and they serve it cut into pieces really weird. We also asked for lamb since there was only some scummy looking chicken available, and they served us giant plates of days old pulao with slivers of dried up lamb in it. Just awful. I hate leaving one star reviews when I know this can impact employees jobs as the restaurants reviews do affect business. However this was not a great experience for me, probably one of the least enjoyable meals I've had. We came in and half of the restaurant had its lights on and the other half was dark, the buffet section had its lights off. (We came in around 5:30pm which I'd assume they'd have the buffet open as it's dinner time). We sat down and was sure what to do, finally a woman came and handed us some menus. A gentleman gave us water and was super nice. I had my kids with me and quickly ordered a lentil soup for them and an order of hummus for the table ( we weren't ready to order our food yet). As we looked over the menu, the soup and hummus came. The hummus looked so off. I have to say store bought hummus looks more authentic than what they gave us. No flavor, seemed soupy and watered down, the pita bread was stale. The soup was flavorless and had zero texture. It's was so runny (which isn't what I think of when I order lentil soup). The description says it has carrots, it doesn't. I immediately told my husband we wouldn't order food for us there and asked for a to go container for the soup as I felt bad leaving everything basically untouched. We paid and left. Clean, simple interior with beautiful healthy plants. Small buffet table and regular menu available for special dishes. We tried menu order including (both chicjen and veggie) stuffed buns, chicken Shawarma plate, lamb and rice plate. Veggie stuffed buns was delicious. Most protein seemed overcooked and was very dry and chewy with not enough seasonings for our taste. Service was very slow and we had to remind our server what we requested multiple times. read more

Honestly, pretty disappointed by this restaurant and unfortunate that this was my experience. As someone who is well-versed and knowledgeable about Mediterranean food (I'm Persian!) this was not that. The interior is clean, simple and inviting. But the restaurant was completely empty to our surprise given their 5 star reviews on most websites. We took a look at the buffet and very quickly decided not to do the buffet and order off the menu as nothing really looked appetizing. We ordered the lamb and rice and the chicken Shawarma. We also decided to ask for the stuffed cabbage, as it looked good in the buffet section. The lamb was rubbery and firm. Pretty much unable to get it off the bone. The amount of lamb was also minimal. The cabbage rolls were taken directly from the buffet and brought to us cold (and then they tried to charge us $12 for this...). We were there for a total of 40 minutes (25 minutes to get our food) and our waiters didn't come to check on us a single time (our drinks were empty but never refilled), we had to remind them a couple times about things we requested. We left having only a couple bites of our food, hungry and largely disappointed in the food and the experience and a whole. This place has potential.. but they need to focus on their quality and authenticity. read more

I decided to get the buffet. It had many standard middle eastern food items and a few unusual items. I got their freshly blended Guava juice for $ 4.99; I could hear the blender. I started with 3 patties of Falafel, basmati rice, Lamb Kafta, Fattoush salad & Tzatziki salad. Very good. Next I got some lamb meatballs in a tomato sauce, baba ganoush, pita bread with spices, cabbage rolls, bashmel pasta and lentil soup. I got a 2nd juice, the Mango for $5.99;. Just as colorful and tasty as the Guava. For dessert, I had 2 pieces of baklava dripping with honey and small square of Basbousa, a Coconut semolina cake soaked in simple syrup. The food was warm and fresh. The dining area was clean and well lit with lots of windows. While, there I saw some students and a family with 3 children. There is a handicap ramp. If you're looking for a buffet that's clean, relaxed, and has amazing food that tastes homemade in the best possible way, then look no further. When I say this place has food that tastes SO fresh and delicious I absolutely mean it! Everything was so good and had me going back for seconds and thirds. They have a buffet, but I don't stuff my face, so ordering from the menu was best for me. I should've have known from the minute I walked in, but I wanted to give this place a chance. I went to the bathroom, it was disgustingly dirty. The buffet options were subpar; the rice was mushy, no dressing options on or near the salad, hummus was runny, no bread for the hummus, there was only one protein option and it looked like rubbery chicken, and the ultimate slap in the face was the soup. When I started eating the soup, I felt something odd in my mouth. It turned out to be a broken piece of steel wool!!! When we talked to the manager (or owner?) about what happened they still tried to charge us a full price! We told her that we really don't want to pay for an experience like that where we didn't even eat anything, then she started to be sarcastic with us asking "would you be happy with yourselves without paying?"
