What a disappointment. We stopped by at around 2:30 pm. The restaurant was empty. I was with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. They do not like Vietnamese food so they ordered pizza from the restaurant next door and sat outside Yen's to eat it. The staff came out yelling that we could not sit there and charged a $10 service fee which shocked us. We had spent $30 on food at Yen's and were treated so poorly. The restaurant and restroom was not clean. My grandchildren also ordered a Taro Bun at Yen's which cost $5.95 and was inedible.

The summer rolls had brown sprouts. I do not recommend this restaurant. The food and staff were horrible. I am usually respectful and tip well but this experience was not worth of that.

This is a little hole in the wall in Green Acres. It's not far from lake worth. Not very many tables but they do have outside seating. It was a very authentic and cozy feeling when you walk in. The service was spot on! We got our food quick and we were happy. We tried the pork bao bun. This was so full of flavor on the inside and the bun it's self was light and fluffy. Next we had the shrimp summer rolls. They were ok, not something I recommend. They had three shrimp and the sauce was not very flavor full.

Upon entering the restaurant is clean, great decor and the staff is friendly. We got seated right away and ordered food. I ordered the Kalbi-beef short ribs and a lychee tea. The ribs were tasty and the plate overall was a good portion. I really enjoyed it. My friend and partner both got the banh mí and honestly it was delicious. The bread was crunchy and it had enough spice. The food didn't take that long and the service was great. Shout out to the young gentleman who was making sure we enjoyed the food. He was extremely friendly and even helped us take some pictures.

Delicious Viet food and nice service! The shrimp and pork belly summer rolls were my favorite thing, perfect overall. The pork belly was soo good, perfectly seasoned. Also tried the house-made pork bun, very delicious and the whole egg inside was a funny surprise. I ordered the leftover pork congee. Flavor was delicious, but the texture was a lot more watery than i expected. It had lots of pork meat, sausage and blood curd. Excited to go back and try their Bánh Mì!

Loves this place. I'm a bit of a pho snob and it is obvious the broths is made from scratch with real bones. Has that extra depth of marrow based deepness. I had the supreme. Wifey had the chicken ban mi and she enjoyed as well..service was good. Would do the spring rolls again. See the attached pic and description. Bathroom needs some attention tho.

A neighborhood gem! This small Vietnamese restaurant serves incredibly fresh, flavorful food that tastes homemade and authentic. The pho broth was rich and comforting, the banh mi was perfectly balanced, and every dish was beautifully seasoned with fresh herbs. My fav is the steak banh mi with an added egg and the special Pho. We had initially decided to head out to our usual favorite place for pho to celebrate our daughter's win when she suggested Yen's Kitchen, which was highly recommended by a classmate for the most authentic pho she has had. Though it is a bit out of the way for us, we decided to drive the extra distance. The place was packed and everyone was happy, staff and guests. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It is a family establishment. We all ordered the beef pho supreme and added tendon, the shrimp spring rolls and grilled pork belly spring rolls. T he e food was delicious. We were especially excited to try the pho and it was phenomenal. The broth was rich and deeply flavorful. Some restaurants' pho broth can sometimes be overpowering with cinnamon or nutmeg but this was perfect. Will certainly return soon!

Really delicious Vietnamese food that is done right! Nice menu of dishes that I wanted to order one if each. They even had a kids menu! We went with the classic Chicken Phò which was made perfectly and not to salty! lots of fresh vegetables and the right amount of chicken and vermicelli. We had it split in the kitchen and there was plenty! We also had two orders of Shrimp summer rolls with a side of a spicy peanut sauce. Wow was it good!! Had them bring a side of spicy chili oil for even more spice. But all was spicy enough I barely could add more. This is a gem of a place and the owner has a big smile that charms all the customers and stopped by to check on each table. Cool looking interior and seating outside which would be great on a spring evening.

1 Star Yen's Kitchen is wildly overpriced for what you actually get. The portions are shockingly small for the price, and somehow they still find a way to nickel-and-dime you. Charging an extra $5 just for sauce on the side is outrageous, especially when the food already costs as much as it does. The worst part was my most recent experience. I called in to place an order and was put on hold for 20 minutes when Tracy got back on no apology, no explanation, nothing. If you're going to charge premium prices, at the very least the customer service should match. Between the tiny portions, ridiculous add-on charges, and poor service, this place is absolutely not worth the money. There are plenty of better options that actually respect their customers.

Great Vietnamese food! Every item tastes just like how my grandma and mom make it. Definitely comforting when living far away from family, and wanting to taste a little piece of home (should've learned the recipes from my grandma, aunties, and mom when I grew up!) What drew me here were their rotating noodle soups throughout the week. Today I got the "Banh Canh Cua" - which is like a soupy Vietnamese crab udon. Delish! The service is so friendly and has a family vibe. You can tell that the staff support each other which translates to amazing service to the patrons!

I'm back for the chicken wings again! This time I did half nuoc mam and half salt and pepper. Salt and pepper was the favorite! I also got the papaya and beef jerky salad along with the lotus root salad topped with pork and shrimp! Everything was amazing! Thank Manh and staff for always being so accommodating!!! read more

And it keeps surprising me, every time I come here I have a good experience, no disappointment ever. This time I had the special of the day, Vietnamese meatballs with curly noodles I think it was called, YUM! Loved it. But I'm specifically reviewing this establishment again, because being celiac it makes it extra hard to find good food in general but even more, good Asian food, and here they are always on top, they understand allergens and really make an effort to inform you or accommodate the meals, which honestly is a blessing this days :) Thanks for that Yen's kitchen, you can count on me as customer for as long as you keep the doors open. read more

Finally! A place to get fresh Banh Mi in the area. I've tried all the variations and my top two are the Grilled pork and Red ham Banh Mi. This spot serves up snacks and unique drinks as well as traditional noodles soups. A must try if you're in the area. read more

We loved this place! To start, the service was excellent. We were able to sit down and consider the menu and also ask the employee questions about the menu. He seemed excited to assist us which was so refreshing. Our drinks were delicious (peach iced tea and iced drip coffee). And our food was a very generous portion and well worth the value, loaded with tons of goodies! Definitely a 5 star place and will be returning. read more

In one word Yuck'. I tried 3 different dishes, and each was horrible. The egg rolls were hard and tasteless. The Shaken beef was tough as leather hide'. The Vietnamese pancake./crêpes were soggy like a limp noodle. Tasteless, poor value for the money. Consider saving your stomach and your wallet. read more

Great visit and great food. There are some exotic items on the menu worth trying if you're adventurous. The crepes were delicious as was the Pho. If you're in the mood for something sweet, try the coconut waffles. The owner came out and explained the whole menu to us. Made us feel very welcomed. read more

Today was my second stop there for grab and go. They have this noodle dish with grilled pork that is life-changing. And you can't stop by there without getting the shrimp summer rolls because that peanut sauce is amazing by itself. Wow! What a great addition to our neighborhood! I had the chicken pho and my husband had the rice noodle beef stew. We also tried a couple of appetizers that our server recommended... pork bun and a pork egg roll. They were both delicious. The best part is that it's family owned and run with mom cooking in the kitchen! We will definitely be back. read more

This is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant in south Florida. They've earned a bunch of outstanding food awards in just three years of their existence. Their grandmother started the restaurant in Vietnam in 1992 and the restaurant is named after her. Her grandchildren, like Mon your waiter and order taker, have stepped in to continue her legacy. We opted for a late lunch and ordered the "Build your own pho bowl" using beef broth, fresh pho noodles, tofu, bean curd, and extra brisket. The steaming bowl of soup came with basil, cilantro, and mung beans on the side. We also ordered the Deconstructed Banh Mi which was served with a fresh baked role and in a hot cast iron dish was three kinds of meat in a sauce, two over easy eggs, and a fourth protein that you pick from a list of choices on the menu. It comes on the plate with pickled carrots and daikon, and jalapeño peppers. Truly yummy sandwich when all those things are stuffed in your sandwich. Just thinking about today''s lunch makes us want to come each week to get our fix. But let's keep it a secret so that we can always enjoy a nice quiet and relaxed experience and not have to wait to find an open table. read more

My wife and I have been trying to find a Pho place that isn't ridiculously priced, and still had good food. Welp... we have finally FOUND IT! This place is AMAZING. The food is fresh and taste amazing, the price is more than fair for the amount of food you get. I also like that the restaurant doesn't take your card info over the phone and send the delivery drivers with a card reader. Delivery was quick, order was correct, and food was hot when it arrived. We will be ordering from here from now on!!! Take all my money and keep up the good work!! 11/17/21 UPDATE.. This is the probably the 4th or 5th time we have ordered from Yen's kitchen and.... It was still AMAZING. Every time we have ordered from here the food has been consistently fresh, awesome, with portion sizes spot on! However the size of the pork egg rolls have changed.. And they are EVEN BETTER. The size of them was pretty small before but now the quality vs value is up to par with the rest of the items on the menu (this was the only thing that wasn't perfect, but I'm nitpicking). I promise they have not paid me for this review. I just genuinely think a place this good deserves to get recognized and I wish them nothing but success. read more

We were looking for a Vietnamese place for a quick dinner, as we ate from out of town, and found one. Our server Michael was personable and explained the differences in certain items on the menu. He was attentive and friendly. My husband and I both ordered the fresh summer rolls with shrimp. They were refreshing and delicious. We also ordered pho soups with the homemade noodles. I am never in Lake Worth, but I happened to be in the area and I spotted the sign driving by. For some reason I knew it was going to be good so I stopped back by on my way home to pick up dinner. I love the Bun, or rice noodle salad on their menu so I ordered one of those with shrimp. They staff was super nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean with a well stocked beverage cooler. I got home and split up the plate putting half in a container to take to work with me for lunch the next day. It was so fresh and delicious, the egg roll was perfectly crispy (the egg roll didn't make it out of their parking lot actually) and the addition of these sautéed onions which I had never seen before . Well long story short: the next day a pick me coworker took it upon herself to clean out our fridge before lunch () and THREW MY BUN AWAY! I was furious and knew what I had to do: Go back and buy two more. Hopefully this satisfies my craving but I think I'll make the trip from Broward to visit again. read more

I was in the area looking for authentic vietnamese cuisines. Then I stumbled upon this place. Upon entering the restaurant I was instantly greeted by the staff with a warm welcome! The decor of the restaurant reminded me of my hometown in Da Nang. However, the main take away of this location was the FOOD. I was feeling homesick so I ordered the bun bo hue and when I took the first bite..... I knew I was home. If I could give this place a higher rating I would do so in a heart beat. read more

Used to really like this place. Stopped in to pick up dinner. It is rather pricey but as in the mood for good Pho. Took it home and the broth and meat were fatty. One of the best Pho's I've had and I loveeeeee pho ! They also have a lot of tea drink options the calamondin iced tea was amazing and my husband got the passion fruit which was great! Egg rolls were good too! Cute little while in the wall! Service was great ! Will definitely be coming back and it's a a 20min drive from home ! We got the chciken pho I got mine with the beef broth and my husband got his with the chicken both were good but we personally liked the beef broth better! read more

We are very picky about the food we eat and Yens gets 5 stars. The summer roll is so good we orderat least 12 for the two of us. I will say there peanut spice has a bite and if you don't like spicy Then ask them to give you a non spicy sauce. read more

"From the street of Nguyen Binh Khiem in 1992, Yến's Kitchen started as a small street cart with a worn out pot, plastic chairs, and no electricity. Sharing good Vietnamese food is Yến's passion. Now we are able to fulfill her dream here in South Florida and share her classic and new cuisines from the street of Vietnam."

History

Established in 2020.

In 1992, Yến got her first food display on the street of Nguyen Binh Khiem, where people are plenty but income was scarce. She then became popular with the local workers in the factory nearby, where her husband, Hung worked at. From there, she moved on to owning her own food cart, driving it from local neighborhoods to selling her dishes in the zoo. She was the eldest sister of seven siblings, which means her income was crucial with little to go around. Eleven years later in 2003, Yến and her family came to America eyes wide and full of hope. It took her another 17 years in 2020 that she was finally able to fulfill her dream and open Yến's Kitchen. Now it has become a small family owned business with the help of her husband and her two children. Most of all, it was because of the community that believed in her and her food that made Yến's Kitchen a reality.

My husband's chopped liver was a much better choice. It came with lettuce and tomato. The duck stayed crispy and hot, and the flavorful sauce on the vegetables tied everything together perfectly. I also tried the grilled pork vermicelli bowl with peanuts. I ordered another one with chicken and asked for it without peanuts because my son has a nut allergy. It was delicious--almost like a deconstructed pho without the broth. As good as it was, I still prefer the pho because the broth is, hands down, the best part. It's rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth coming back for. For sauces I chose two standards -- hoisin sauce and a mix i made of some soy sauce and vinegar (which I used for the dumplings). At our leisure -- it's all you can eat -- we tried many of the offerings. We skipped most of the exotic ones -- except my husband who happens to like chicken feet. I went for the seafood first. And liked most of what I chose, especially the large prawns which were my favorite. And I also really liked the rounds of shrimp paste. The clams were tiny, but good. The blue crabs were small and awkward to eat when so hot. I'd skip them next time. I also tried some beef and pork, but found the seafood options more to my liking. Of the veggies, I had a mix just to try a number of things. The baby bok choy leaves, the cabbage, and the bean sprouts were good, but I fell in love with those tiny little enoki mushrooms. My least faves were the taro and the hard squash For dessert, they also have fresh fruit (cherries, etc.) and cake squares on the buffet. And a separate ice cream bar. Really lacking in peppers, onions, or mushrooms and a very lackluster sauce. But there certainly was copious amounts of sauce. The steamed vegetables that came with a fish dish were well prepared and still crunchy. The cheesecake for dessert was standard and regular stuff, nothing exceptional. Definitely not homemade. Overall, very mediocre meal. We showed up about 7:30 and by 8:15 The service staff was already starting to work on their closing duties. It is extremely unprofessional and annoying to have people picking up Parmesan shakers and stacking chairs while in mid meal.

I had a great experience at Yen's Kitchen! Our waitress, Johara, was amazing, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The restaurant itself was beautiful inside, with a warm and culturally appealing ambiance that made the dining experience feel authentic and inviting. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were huge, making it incredibly filling and well worth the price. I ordered the eye round steak pho, and it was flavorful, fresh, and very satisfying. I recently visited this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant, and I couldn't be more impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, with so many options to choose from, each one tasting amazing. The baguette was served hot and had an incredible aroma that instantly made my mouth water. I'm also a big fan of coffee, and the Himalayan foam on top was a delightful touch -- so creamy and yummy!
