Like a number of reviewers, I recently had my wisdom teeth removed. The fear and anxiety of pain and swelling kept me away until I chipped a wisdom tooth last year and my dentist pushed me to get them removed before other issues arose. I had prior experience with Dr Aslanian, after my girlfriend had an impacted tooth removed in 2018. I made an appointment for a consultation, which included a panoramic xray and the Dr answering any questions I had. Diana took my insurance information and a few weeks passed before I received the pre authorization. Diana called me the day after I happened to receive my letter and we setup an appointment for a couple months later. The week of the procedure, I got very anxious and I called the office to ask a few more questions. Diana promptly returned my call and walked me through the IV sedation, the procedure and staff in attendance and reassured me that "everything was going to go well" and the day of the extraction, everything did go well! Having wisdom teeth pulled is a crapshoot: you simply do not know how it is going to affect you. In my case, I had very little pain and swelling and only minimal bleeding, which the attentive doctor and staff addressed very quickly. If you've been putting off getting your wisdom teeth removed (regardless of age) and are dealing with day to day pain, I highly recommend Dr Aslanian. read more

The lower star reviews made me apprehensive about going with Dr. Aslanian for my wisdom tooth surgery since it would be my first time ever going under. I'm so pleased to say (nearly a year post op) that everything went smoother than I could have possibly imagined. Felt like I blinked and it was done. I was completely lucid upon waking up, and the pain was very minimal. It only took a day and a half to fully stop bleeding (which the Dr. seemed disappointed to hear at the check up -- I guess he prides himself in achieving even faster recovery haha). This was the second time I needed a dental implant and my regular dentist highly encouraged me to go to Dr. Aslanian this time instead of the implant dentist that I previously went to closer to my home. I could not have been happier with her suggestion! I knew that my insurance was not gonna cover the implant no matter where I went so it was more question of care from both the doctor in the staff. Not only was the process 1 million times easier than it was the first time, but the staff was just lovely to deal with at every return. Explained everything to you from cost to the procedure. I finally got around to getting my wisdom teeth removed which I had been putting off for years due to fear. I was referred to Dr. Aslanian per my dentist. I went to his office for a consultation where he took a look at my X-rays and went over what the procedure would be like and asked if I had any questions. I underwent the procedure 4 days ago (removal of all 4 wisdom teeth, two impacted). I was pretty nervous because this was my first time undergoing any sort of procedure with sedation. Little did I know it was a piece of cake! I barely felt Dr. Aslanian insert the IV and the last thing I remember was asking him if it was in. The next thing I knew, I was awake and escorted to the recovery room. Dr. Aslanian provided me with a care sheet, a plastic syringe, gauze, and prescriptions for antibiotics, pain medication, and anti-nausea medication (which I thankfully did not need). So far my recovery process has been smooth. Some pain and discomfort as expected, but thankfully nothing major. I spoke to Diana over the phone today about a question I had and she was more than happy to help me. I'll be returning to the office on Monday for my post-op check-up and should be good as new in a few weeks. Thank you to Dr. Aslanian and his team for providing me with such great care! read more

I called to make an appointment for a consultation and the first thing out of the secretary's mouth was "How are you going to pay?" At least ask me my name before you stick it to me. I had four of my wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Aslanian. I was not going to initially leave a review however after reflecting on my experience decided to do so. I would like to first off say having wisdom tooth removal as a first time surgery is an extremely anxiety filled experience. I did not feel like I was given the guidance I needed by Dr. Aslanian or his office about the after care or procedure which is why I have deducted a star in my rating. I had a 10 minute consultation with the doctor where he asked if I had any questions but as someone with no experience with sedation or tooth removal and very brief/vague explaination, it is difficult to know what to ask. Regarding after care, I was provided with a piece of paper for instructions. On the day of the surgery, I was asked do I have any questions, which of course I had four questions in my mind ready to ask however was put under seconds after he asked do I have any questions. I got all my after care insurrections honestly from tik tok and learned how to avoid a dry socket. Besides the vague explanations and slaughter house treatment when in office, Dr. Aslanian did an amazing job with my removal of all four. Both two holes at the bottom closed beautifully and the top two stitches came out on their own. The work he did was amazing and I truly appreciate his dedication to his craft. My only qualm would be to treat patients with a little more care and patience. The front desk lady ( I believe it is his wife) is very quick and to the point however I appreciated this, I understand others would think it is rude. I do not want this same quick and to the point treatment from a doctor, I want thorough explanations and time. I would say I would 100% do my removal with this doctor again however would suggest everyone do as much research as possible to avoid dry socket. read more

10/10 highly recommend Dr. Aslanian & his team, they were absolutely incredible ! Here is my brief story : Woke up one morning after several nights of tooth pain to my jaw locked, cheek swollen and worst pain imaginable. Looking for an emergency wisdom tooth removal, I called their office the same morning & Diana answered the phone. She was so nice & caring, she immediately confirmed they accept my insurance and made me an appointment same afternoon!!!!!! When I went , Dr Aslanian took a look and advised I take antibiotics and pain medication so the inflammation can go down within 1-2 days & he said I would feel like a brand new person again & then we would remove the teeth. I did not believe it would go down that quickly and make a difference but sure enough, it did! After the infection had went away, I went back for the actual procedure and Diana, Dr Aslanian and another worker had provided the best procedure possible! Within 40 mins we were done & they had successfully removed 2 wisdom teeth with no extra complications. The following days I felt absolutely no pain & within 2 days I was back to eating solid foods! In fact, I took only 1 pain killer the entire time after my surgery! Overall, their service, kindness & level of expertise was worth everything. If they were a primary dentist I would 100% have switched over ! P.s - if they don't answer the phone, they definitely are busy but if you leave a voicemail Diana for sure gets back to you on time! I came in with my friend and I saw a very rude front desk woman named Diana. Her attitude is horrible. What a way to treat patients. Just because you have problems at home doesn't mean that you should be taking anger out on patients. The doctor was awkward to be honest. Don't recommend this place to anyone!!! Absolutely , whole-heartedly thankful I came to see Dr Aslanian ! Firstly I have Dental Anxiety, not fun when you have to get all 4 wisdom teeth taken out and a complex supernumerary tooth. After researching and trying to figure out where I felt most comfortable, Dr Aslanian was the one. This was a long nap with no pain, post nausea and specific instructions on how to take care of the wounds. If you or anyone is looking to get any procedure done, feel dental anxiety or nervous about it....please do yourself a favor and visit Dr Aslanian! Horrible customer service at this office, these people won't think twice about letting a parent in with their children, but God forbid they let an adult in with their spouse. Regardless you need to allow people to feel comfortable if they have fears of dental or surgery work in general. After a few days of feeling nerve pain in my lower jaw, my dentist referred me to Dr. Aslanian, who I'm so thankful for. He had X-rays taken, gave in-depth explanations regarding why wisdom teeth were causing me nerve pain, answered all my questions, and scheduled the surgery. The surgery went great and I haven't felt any nerve pain in lower jaw since! His front desk lady was also very helpful in dealing with my dental insurance and always courteous and professional during her phone calls with me. I visited this office on Dec 23, 2020 because I was to referred here by my dentist for an implant. The doctor wants to charge me $400 for a ct scan and some other work that going to cost a couple of hundred more dollars. All of these are not covered by my insurance. On top of that once he does the work he will charge me more money not covered ny my insurance. I said no and I'll think about it. read more

VERY great experience and I am so, so thankful I found this place and came here for my wisdom teeth extractions! I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time about a week ago (last Monday, Sept 14), and I truly believe that Dr. Yervant Aslanian's skill combined with his prioritization of patient concerns was what made my entire experience into a much, much, smoother, pleasant, successful, and comfortable experience than what I may have possibly had if I had went anywhere else. One of my biggest, primary concerns that I had expressed to him before the surgery was my concern about nausea and vomiting at any point afterwards (it's just always been this kind of slight phobia of mine plus a terrible experience I had with this as a kid once from some dental procedure I had at a completely different clinic), so he kept a note of that concern of mine and made sure that the combination of IV medications he gave me would help me with preventing nausea as much as possible. I swear, the procedure itself was a breeze and felt like absolutely nothing because I literally just passed out from the anesthesia, woke up, and all was fine! Just like that! Like it felt like I just had a short nap. And most importantly, I also didn't feel naseous at all that entire day just like how I asked for and felt totally fine for the rest of the day. As the week went on, yes of course some pain can settle in from time to time but I feel that's to be expected with any wisdom teeth extraction, but it was relatively a breeze compared to all these other horror stories I've heard from other people about their other experiences elsewhere at other clinics. I went back for my follow up appointment yesterday and all is well and no complications as of yet, thanks to Dr. Aslanian's good work. Also, in addition to Dr. Aslanian himself, the rest of Dr. Aslanian's team and the front desk receptionist, Blanca, often helped answer my questions as well. My son just had 4 molars removed by oral surgeon Dr. Aslanian. The doctor and his staff could not be more professional and caring. We had three appointments, pre surgery, day of surgery, and post surgery. All three were right on time, no waiting at all for app.. VERY NICE !!!!! The Dr. told my son as well as his assistant that he would have some " discomfort" for a few days and that was right on. After two days of post surgery pain my son was sore but ok. I had a wonderful experience here, I just got all 4 wisdom teeth removed today and my recovery is surprisingly going quite pleasant. Of course you feel pain/discomfort but it's part of the healing process(especially the first day) I can tell he was gentle with my surgery as the pain isn't so much. He thoroughly explained the procedure and structure of my wisdom teeth from the X-ray. He definitely has a lot of experience under his belt and he's knowledgeable. I 100% trust him. I went to Dr Aslanian for the first time for my wisdom tooth to be removed. First of all the receptionist Blanca was extremely nice and helpful. I was in pain and i told her about that. She made sure to call me back if they have a cancellation. She kept her promise and gave me an appointment just right after couple of days of my first call. Then I went to the office and she took care of the authorization which my primary Dr s office was supposed to do. After that they took me to the room where I saw the Doctor Aslanian. Super nice and professional. Since I am on my 20 th week of pregnancy, he considered all the details and explained everything to me. Wow. Just wow! I am someone who is deathly afraid of dentists and pain and believe me, I have been dreading the moment of taking out my wisdom teeth for the last 7 years due to my TMJ problems. I wanted to get all 4 out, and had 1 potential complication due to the tooth being near my nerve. I went in knowing I might have to leave part of the tooth in to avoid nerve damage. Fast forward 45 minutes, Dr. Aslanian finished the entire procedure. He was able to take all 4 teeth out with no problem, even the complicated tooth, and I woke up completely painless. The most discomfort was on the 1st day, then I didn't even need anymore pain medication afterwards. 1 week later, I am nearly all healed and on top of that, my TMJ was not affected at all. The staff were all very friendly and communicative throughout the whole process. Overall, I highly recommend anyone who needs oral surgery to come to this doc! read more

My son is 11 years old and was referred to Dr. Aslanian for oral surgery as he needed a supernumerary (extra tooth) pulled and a couple of stubborn baby teeth. My son was very anxious about the whole thing. As you can imagine, I immediately felt anxious about it as well. More so because he needed to be under anesthesia during the surgery. I postponed it a few times because of my worry. The few times we saw Dr. Aslanian about it, he was always very gentle & understanding. He was kind to my son and reassured us that everything would be ok. I felt like he really listened and understood my concerns as a parent. He told me not to worry, it shouldn't take more than 20-30 min and he would take great care of my son. I knew it had to be done since it was causing major orthodontic issues. I finally scheduled it. I am so happy I did! Everyone from the girl at the front desk to the back were so nice. They were all so nice and showed care & concern. Everything went so smoothly. Dr. Aslanian was amazing. He came to the waiting room to get my son and answer any questions I had. Just as he said, the surgery was about 20-25 min. Everything went so well. As expected, my son was a little woozy after being under the anesthesia so we waited a little before leaving the office. We were not at all rushed and the assistants kept coming to check on my son to make sure he was feeling better. He had no bleeding after we left the office. He didn't even need to use the extra gauze we were given. He felt good when we left the office and honestly, the wound looked almost healed by the next day. Well, I had a terrible experience with the insurance part as well! My general dentist had referred for my wisdom teeth extraction. I made an appointment and everything went well. They told me they would contact me once my insurance has responded. Several weeks later, they call me and tell me my insurance covers the extraction. However, not the sedation. So, I decided to call my insurance company only to find out THEY DIDN'T EVEN SUBMIT ANYTHING FOR THE SEDATION. I called the office and they told me the doctor does not cover that certain code. He can choose the codes he wants to cover. But, I had my insurance company check and confirm it covers for this certain doctor. Of course, after reading the reviews on yelp, I had to contact my insurance company. Thanks to yelps reviews, I saved $550. read more

The absolute best oral/dental experience. My jaw locked open due to my TMJ and I was referred to DR. Yervant. I was greeted by the receptionist who was very sympathetic and sweet. She helped me fill out the minimal required paper work then ushered me back to a room right away. Dr. Yervant was able to skillfully reset my jaw without causing unnecessary pain and damage. My son had all 4 of his wisdom teeth removed last week. Took 30to40 minutes to have all of out....left side was simple extraction both fully erupted. but the right side was like yikes! both fully impacted. Dr. Aslanian did an amazing job on the right side. Less trauma to the surrounding area less swelling, quicker recovery. Post op instructions on point and they give a "goodie" bag with ice pack, gauze, syringe (to clean the sockets) and a detailed post op care. PS. Love the staff Blanca, Diana & Gayane read more
