Dr. Garabedian is spectacular at his job. I was referred to him by my dentist and had my wisdom teeth removed. They healed nicely. He is intentional with his care; transparent yet respectful about your dental assessment, dental health, and treatment, and efficient with his dental work. My only gripe would be his front desk team. On Jan.12, 2026, I had an initial dental surgery consultation that I arrived to 15 minutes early, and yet I was not seen until 3 hours after my scheduled time. I understand delays happen but a heads up would have been nice. I had to go up to the front desk to remind them I was there, and ask when I will be seen. I am very happy with Dr Garabedian. My crown became infected and my dentist notified me it would need to be removed. I searched a database of local providers accepting united healthcare insurance and he came highly recommended. I had to have the tooth extracted, the area treated and a bone graft, a post set and hardware installed. Each step requires a visit and the several weeks to heal. I would give it no stars if possible. I called this office to schedule an appointment and unfortunately had one of the worst first impressions possible. The staff member who answered (who introduced herself as Marine) had an immediate rude and dismissive attitude from the very start. After providing my insurance authorization information, she repeatedly placed me on hold. Each time she returned after several minutes, she would say "Thank you for holding, how can I help you?" as if I hadn't already explained everything. This cycle continued for over 30 minutes. Her attitude remained poor throughout the call. When she finally gave me available appointment dates, they were more than two months out. Saying you have "never met me" is a deflection. That statement adds nothing of value. I wasn't claiming a personal relationship with you -- I was describing how your practice handled my visit. 3. You avoided the real issue: lack of notice and communication. My main concerns were: * No prior notice of a $2,000+ balance * No calls, emails, texts, or reminders for months * Being allowed to schedule appointments while allegedly owing a large balance * Being turned away after arriving on time and waiting You did not address: * Why no one informed me before my appointment * Why staff continued scheduling me without disclosure, so claimed * Why payment was demanded only after I arrived. 4. You hide behind "standard policy" "outstanding balances must be resolved prior to treatment". If so, why did your staff not inform me prior to scheduling me? I never disputed the existence of a policy. I disputed the failure to disclose it in advance -- especially for a large amount. 5. "We can't discuss this publicly" avoids accountability. That's understandable for details -- but you could still acknowledge: * A breakdown in communication * That my time was wasted * That the situation was handled poorly My issue was never that balances exist or that insurance determines coverage. My concern was the complete lack of communication regarding a balance exceeding $2,000 before my scheduled appointment. From August through November/December, I received no phone calls, emails, texts, or reminders informing me of any outstanding balance -- yet your office contacted me multiple times to schedule follow-up appointments. At no point was I told that payment would be required prior to being seen. I arrived on time, waited nearly 30 minutes, and was only then informed that I would not be seen unless payment was made. This was embarrassing and a complete waste of my time, effort, and missed work. Instead of apologizing for this experience, your response dismisses it. Rather than acknowledging a breakdown in communication, it denies that the events occurred. Instead of offering to review the matter, improve communication, or propose any resolution, it deflects by citing general policies and stating that this is "not what patients experience." Additionally, there was no indication that this situation would be addressed internally or that staff would receive guidance or training to prevent similar issues from happening to other patients. A bill of this size is not a routine copay and requires transparency, proactive communication, and respect for a patient's time. Very disappointing experience. I provided my insurance information on February 20, well ahead of my appointment, but on March 17 I still had to wait about 2 hours while the office processed it. On top of that, I waited another 2 hours past my scheduled appointment time in very uncomfortable conditions with no air conditioning. Communication was extremely poor. Every time I called, I was left on hold for 15+ minutes. I was also told that the office does not have email access, that there is no office manager available, and essentially no one in charge to address concerns. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. The pricing and treatment plan were unclear and appear inflated. I was quoted around $870 for procedures on teeth #24 and #25 without proper explanation. After multiple calls from both me and my husband asking for a breakdown of the charges, no one ever followed up. The next day I went to a different dental office and completed treatment for $489. The doctor confirmed the issue was only with tooth #25, which raises serious concerns about why this office included treatment for both #24 and #25. Overall, this reflects questionable pricing practices and a very unprofessional approach to patient care. The day of my oral surgery I was terrified, but I knew I had to get it done. Everyone who helped was very kind an understanding. Even though im a grown woman, I brought a small stuffed animal for comfort. While I was getting my blood drawn it fell out of my hand, and some one gave it back for me to hold. I went in to Dr. Garabedian to remove my wisdom teeth. Dr. Garabedian is such an incredible doctor! It is so difficult finding medical doctors and dentists who have a good bedside manner but Dr. Garabedian made me feel so calm and like he knew exactly what he was doing. He put me completely at ease, explained everything, gave me room for questions and concerns and addressed them appropriately and kindly. He removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth in one day on the same day of the consultation. Quick, minimal pain, minimal swelling, minimal bruising. The follow up appointment was similar in nature: quick, easy, my concerns were addressed. 10/10 for the doctor!! I'm surprised at how easy the whole thing went and how well everything healed :) I'm giving the place 4 stars instead of 5 because of the staff. Prior to my initial appointment, I received a VM to confirm my appointment. I called the office back and was placed on hold for over 25 minutes. The worker who picked up the phone did not ask what I was calling for and put me on a ridiculous hold for the SIMPLE task of confirming an appointment. I understand it's hard working in a busy medical office, however, when you have many calls and patients waiting, you should have a system of prioritizing who to take care of first. If you see that there is a call that has been on hold for more than even a few minutes, it is courteous to ask for a call back number and let the patients know that you will call them back once you can. It's disrespectful to others' time otherwise. After confirming the appointment, I was told to arrive at the office at 8:50 for my 9am appointment. I got there at 8:50 and waited until just past 9 for the doors of the office to open. Upon the doors opening, the office staff overall was disorganized and had a rude demeanor. Had waited 36 years to remove my wisdom teeth and finally when I decided that they were bothering me too much Dr Hamlet Garabedian came highly referred. I'm glad I made the decision. He removed all 4 wisdom teeth two weeks ago and although I anticipated the the worst, it wasn't that bad. Walked in for my 9AM appointment, was asleep by 9:40am was awake and walking out about 45mins later. Didn't remember a thing, sore and numb but no real "pain". The office gives you a 2 page post procedure instruction sheet and just stick to that, it's pretty straight forward. Accompanied with that is a patient specific prescription for pain maintenance. If you're in the area and you need wisdom teeth removal, Doctor Garabedian is very professional and the staff is super helpful. I never felt rushed with Dr Garabedian and he really put me at ease because he covered all the bases and made sure I had all my answers. Just left the 2 week post procedure check up and no issues to report and healing like normal. Recovery advice: just start icing right away -literally once you get home - 20 mins on 20 mins off. I received a wisdom tooth extraction from Dr. Garabedian, and the experience itself was great no pain I was in and out pain-free, although he did constantly talk about how great he was coercing his assistant to tell me how good he is at his job and he even bent the needle trying to insert the IV in my arm... HOWEVER, a couple of days later I noticed I was getting worse to the point where I couldn't sleep or open my mouth to eat. I scheduled an appointment a few days later with the doctor's partner for a check-up since he was out of the office. I told him about the excruciating pain. He tried taking a look but gave up after he could not get my mouth open enough and just said his best guess was it was a dry socket while he was giving me the statistical improbability of it as I told him I was following their directions to the T. He suctioned the wound and packed it with the clover patch, and sent me out in tears. The very next morning after a brutal night I went to the ER and was diagnosed with an abscess the size of a large marble pushing against my breathing tube. I had to have emergency surgery and had a drain put in for about a week. I know I couldn't open my mouth but I was visibly swollen asymmetrically (which Dr. Garabedian would later tell me is a telltale sign of an abscess). He should've told me to go to the ER instead of packing a clove patch on top of an abscess. But it gets worse and this is the reason why I rated a 2 star. When I went back to see Dr. Garabedian and told him I had an abscess, and said to my face, "you didn't have an abscess..." I was floored, my boyfriend was sitting there and had to tell him that three separate doctors looked at my CT scan and how he watched me receive emergency surgery in the ER to drain the infection because they didn't have time to book an OR... If that doesn't tell you the type of person he is, I emailed him and his office to get an itemized receipt since I paid with my FSA account, but they ignored me. They did not provide paperwork to prove I got the surgery for the claim to be processed. On top of that, I am stuck with the ER bill I was not expecting. Honestly, I am appalled he can call himself a doctor. Be warned. read more

I was super nervous going into getting my wisdom teeth especially after hearing other people's horror stories. I had a ton of pain from an infection and could barely sleep so I needed to get them out. The Doctor helped me feel calm and they put me to sleep, I woke up 20 minutes later and they were all done. I only had a day or 2 of being uncomfortable and then I was feeling good, didn't even need the pain medication that was prescribed. Got two of my heavily impacted wisdom teeth out here. Got an appointment very fast. Got in and was instructed by the dental assistant about the procedure, then the doctor. Doctor Hamlet was very kind and reassuring. My appointment was at 9am and I was out of there by 10am. Incredibly clean office and helpful staff. Had minimal swelling for 2 days and I was swelling or pain free within two days even though it was a very complicated case (according to my dentist who encouraged me to get them removed ASAP). I can't thank Dr. Garabedian enough for making my wisdom tooth extractions such an easy and smooth process. Let me tell you... I had been avoiding this procedure for over 6 years because I was so afraid of going under the knife. Anything related to my mouth -- I'm super sensitive. The taste and smell of blood makes me sick to my stomach. After numerous flare ups with this last one being the absolute worst -- my dentist told me it's seriously time to remove them. That same day, I called Dr. Garabedian's office (referred to by my Dentist) to schedule a consultation and surgery date for the following morning. Dr. Garabedian made me feel very comfortable given that I was super nervous. We decided to do the surgery. I went to sleep and woke up with 4 less teeth in my mouth and minimal pain. It's gone so smoothly that I'm back to work today. I barely have any swelling or pain, and haven't even gone to the pharmacy to pick up the Norcos lol. This man is a true master at his craft and I'm so glad My dentist referred me to him. He exceeded my expectations and I will refer anyone in need of an oral surgeon to him.
