This is the second review I am writing about Yes A/C. My first was about when they came out to repair the problem I was having, they got it working. As with all things installed in 1987 they do not last forever. Mine was no exception. It went. I called Yes to come to look at it and was told by the technicians Cris and Ellis the unit was in fact beyond repair. Having some, but not much knowledge I did not doubt their assessment. As I mentioned in the first review I rent and do not own the home. They contacted my landlady and spoke with her about the problem and what they recommended. It wasn't a cheap fix, a new 4-ton a/c unit, and heat exchange. After speaking with Cris she authorized the installation of new units. Once authorized their crew brought the new units and proceeded to do the installation. I much to their chagrin supervised the process, not really I just watched. As teamwork goes they have it down. Within a few hours, the new system was up and running and the old equipment was removed. They cleaned everything up after themselves leaving it cleaner than before they got there. I feel at ease knowing the new system is installed and do not have to worry about the safety of my family from a faulty system. It may sound like overkill, but I have dealt with a lot of contractors in a past life and was impressed with them and their work ethic. I am sure there are a lot of fine A/C and heating contractors people have dealt with, but if I need to call someone it will be them. They haven't let me down yet. I tend to take negative Yelp reviews with a grain of salt. With a company the size of Yes, I figure that a higher than normal number of poor reviews could be explained away as a reflection of their high customer volume. Most businesses will have a percentage of people they could not make happy. Nice theory, but where Yes is concerned, there is definitely something unsavory going on. My story will sound familiar here. Our rooftop air conditioning unit gave out during a heat wave. We had purchased the unit from Yes over six years ago and it was still under warranty. So, I called Yes (without checking Yelp) to do the warranty work. I knew that parts, but not labor, were covered by the manufacturer's warranty, so my main concern was the cost of labor. The technician arrived on time and was very courteous. After inspection, he declared that I needed a new condenser fan and a capacitor. He declared that labor for installation would be $750. I thanked him for his time. I then spoke with two different businesses who both quoted less than $200 for the work. This is different than Yes simply being at the "high end of the range". They are so far out there, it's hard not to conclude that something rotten is at the core of their business. Like me, you may view negative Yelp reviews with a bit of healthy skepticism, but in this case, you can take them to the bank. read more

Have Yes AC and Plumbing come out 18 Apr for both Summer HVAC service and later for plumbing check. Both Isreal and Phillip were outstanding. Phillip replace a flapper in my toilet and really above and beyond to resolve a tricky water seep issue. I've gone through 9 water heaters since 2001 and Yes was first to provide a practical solution with addition of a "Flow Tech" which I'll install later this summer. Again real pleased with service from both technicians. Thanks again YES! read more

3 years after we bought 2 units from Yes (at what we discovered was a standard price), we've already had issues with them. I heard one of them making a noise 3 months ago. They came in, told me what the problem was, charged me for the annual maintenance plan and then overcharged me for the pieces they fixed. The whole price was $750. They then came back for a water heater Inspection (which was covered by the plan) and then told me I needed a new anode rod for $300. I did the research and discovered that the parts would cost me less than $50. It took me under an hour to change the rod myself. Since paying the obscene amount for my units to be fixed, I did some research and it looks like a lot of what needs to be fixed is doable as a diy. Please please please... if you have any aptitude for fixing things yourself, don't let Yes fix your units for you. If you don't have that aptitude (which is totally ok), do your research and compare prices. read more

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE THIS COMPANY IS!! A TOTAL RIPOFF!! I LITERALLY needed them to tighten ONE bolt under my sink. No leak...no clog...no nothing...my faucet just got loose. I just couldn't get under the sink because I have a bad back. When I booked my appointment, I told them my friend got me a $100 gift certificate for them to fix it. The lady said no problem. The guy came out and looked at it for 5 minutes...not exaggerating at all. He then wrote up the estimate. It was $166. He said " I know you have a certificate for $50, so you just have to pay $116." I told him my gift certificate was for $100 and he said " I've never seen one for $100...can I see it?" I handed it to him. He said "I'm going to need to call my boss." I said "Are you telling me that you are charging me $166 to tighten one bolt?!" He looked at me and said "Yes...that is the price." I told him never mind and I would never pay anyone $166 to tighten a damn bolt." He said ok and left. This company is a complete scam!! Hence the 2 star YELP rating. I was looking for a TRUSTWORTHY company that I could sign up with for preventative maintenance...they lost a very good customer...and a lot more when I tell others how they are BIG RIPOFFS! **"BUSINESS MANAGER" that answered my review....I did talk to your quality assurance manager Sandra...and she told me the technicians boss would be calling me....but no surprise...he did NOT call me. read more

WHY two stars????? They arrived at 8AM to replace a toilet I had bought on Home depot delivered. They unboxed it to find a shattered toilet. OK Now what do I do? Asked them to find a similar toilet. They went to their warehouse and got me a Kohler to match the toilets I have in the other two bathrooms. OK the price was higher than if I went to Home depot and bought it myself BUT they came back, replaced the old toilet and carted it away. Ed Cappasola was Professional and friendly. So much so I ordered the home service plan for 338.00 which covers plumbing, heating and AC inspections. I am off to a good start with YES! I do not know what all the one star reviews. I'm very disappointed with Yes who claims they're one of the best. I had a 16 seer Carrier unit installed on July 30th, 2022. The salesman made promises that I would he very pleased with their work. HaHaHa. Ive never been more disappointed with a company as what they have put me through. This is an investment, for my home. I purchased the 16 seer Carrier unit, $19,995.00, which I was told they didn't have many left due to delivery/parts reasons. I totally understood. I don't understand why they have taken so long to complete my job.....Drywall repair, no grill put back on the Laundry room ceiling (plastic cover with tape around it) so when A/C comes on it sucks the hot, humid air from attic & takes longer to cool down. I've called everyday since the Saturday they keep giving me the run around. Luckily I am in the construction field & learned my lesson from their lies! These guys will come quickly and if you can afford their exorbitant prices they will do good work. We came home from vacation last summer to a dead AC system. They replaced everything for $13000. They also gave me a "free" hot water tank flush. They pulled the rod out and told me it needed to be replaced. That would only be another $280. Then while they were there they could replace my kitchen faucet for $480 and my pressure vale for another $500. I called another plumbing Company. They pulled the rod and told me it was still 75% good and didn't need replacement. They did the pressure vale for $140 including the part. A few weeks later my neighbor had a new AC unit Put in to his place. He got a bigger unit than I did and it cost him $8000. So my smaller unit was $5000 more than his. These guys show up with two rigs. The pickup driver is the one who makes the sales pitch and shows you the book with your "options". Then the guy in the van is the one who does the work. The guy in the pickup is the salesman and will do all the talking. read more

A few repairs were needed and was able to perform them in a very timely manner! He even made a second trip back to my home when I experienced a problem the very same evening! My diminished rating should not signal that I will not use Yes! again, for on the contrary, their professional demeanor, their knowledgable team and friendly staff would absolutely be cause for me to use them again. Yes! is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. After recently having a water heater installed by Yes! and having two days of some challenges with a leak and repair (that was Yes!'s fault and was remedied in a professional and prompt manner), an after hours customer service rep and his inability to show a touch of compassion and gratefullness for my businss caused them to loose a star in my Yelp life. As is the case in life, one bad apple can often spoil the whole lot. For the service techs of David C, Jayson P and Chris H were all great and I felt in good care. The guy on the phone was non-concerned with my flooding garage at 10PM at night. read more

I am giving one star because Aaron and Phil were nice and professional. It was downhill from there. They were recommended through Home Advisor and I will never use Home Advisor again, either. My mistake was not reading the YELP reviews before they came out or I would have cancelled the appointment. They replaced the anode rod in my hot water heater (311 dollars), rebuilt my toilet tank top (274 dollars), and replaced my washer hoses with steel braided ones (216 dollars). I bought the home service plan because it gave me a discount on the items I had them fix. Now, after reading all these terrible YELP REVIEWS I am probably not even going to use it as many reviews state they just find a bunch more stuff that needs expensive fixes. I am upset I did not do better research. Their pricing is flat rate. I find this deceptive as once I agreed to the various projects it took little time to get them done. The final straw is I woke up today with all this scum lining my kitchen sink. I tried to rinse it and now my sink is all backed up. I have contacted a well recommended plumber I found on Next Door to come out and look at the sink and get new estimates on the other work I need done. I just want to share my experience so others will stay away from this company and not get overcharged. I have learned an expensive lesson. Please learn from my mistake. read more

Had a water leak outside our home that was coming from the faucet adjacent to the garage. Eric and Keegan arrived at the front end of the scheduled appointment window and was able to assess the issue. They were detailed, explained what they were going to do, answered all my questions and concerns and replaced the faucet, which stopped the leak. No complaints here. They were on schedule, prompt and knowledgeable. At that point, I was more concerned with fixing the leak than the price, which I felt was reasonable. Appreciate the service! read more

The only reason I am writing this review is the rep came out to give us a quote and the first thing he did was shame all the other companies in the community and their products... My unit does not need to be replaced today as in most parts of my home it can be freezing..left a bad taste in my mouth though And than thanks to my YELP community a rating of 2 over 300 reviews does not allow for that shaming... granted the rep was very nice while in our home.... ut personally i do not believe in putting others down to make your own company look better.... i think my fellow Yelpers spoke.... We requested an estimate and after agreeing to a price, the contractors were here within the hour with approximately 6 trucks. Our new heating and air conditioners were installed within 4 hours. Very competent installers. Extremely clean and polite. Would definitely refer this company for any heating and air conditioning needs. Special thank you to Charlie who worked our great deal. I came home from work to find my water heater leaking and my garage and driveway soaked. I called another company that had great reviews. They gave me a quote of $990, however couldn't get to us until 9:00 am the next morning. I let them know that I really needed it done, since my wife and I both work early in the morning. They were very understanding and referred us to YES. They said they were probably the only ones that could provide a new unit the same night. I called and they said they could have someone out in the evening. Though they were running late, they did a good job communicating with me. The guy showed up and instantly started trying to upsale me on a new water softener. He said that was what was causing the water softener problem. Could be true, but I declined. He then started working on a quote just for the water heater. After a few minutes, he said he could replace it for $2200. I told him he was over double what the other company quoted me. He said that they probably aren't pulling permits. I let him know that they were and that they were charging $90 for it, which was in their price. I told him I could understand paying a few hundred more for the after hours, but couldn't understand paying over double. I told him that the water heater is only $500. It was obvious he didn't want to be there and wanted to get home. I told him I would just wait until 9:00 am and save over $1000. He said ok, and I paid the $49 service fee. Called the other company up (at 8:15 pm), and they scheduled us for 9:00 am. It wasn't until I went to write this review that I saw how low their ratings were. I usually always check reviews before. Scammy. I hired them through Home Depot to inspect two HVAC units at my home. Although it says right on the flyer that they will inspect blowers, the tech refused. He did, however, state that we needed to replace our capacitors. The price was given and we agreed. After sitting around waiting the following Monday for the tech, I called and found out that the tech called off and nobody would be coming out until later that week. Wonderful - a whole day shot. Once the tech did get on site, he only replaced 1 of 2 unit's capacitors and said that was all that was quoted. Scam. Oh - remember how I said he refused to check the blowers? You guessed it, one of the blowers is now down, just a couple weeks later and our main level is sitting at 90 degrees waiting for a part. To recap, they were unreliable in meeting appointment deadlines, did not abide by the service agreement and overcharged me for the parts and labor. Also, he left his trash beside the AC unit outside. We've been regular customers of YES Plumbing for a couple of years and have the annual contract, which gives us a discount. DISCOUNT my Bootay!!! We already bought the faucet from Lowes (it would have cost $152 to have Lowes do it), but since we were regular customers of YES, we declined Lowes offer. It turns out that YES was going to charge us $380! So basically, we got a $40 discount from YES so $340ish to install a faucet. For a 30 minute job, they wanted over $300!!! We told them NO! Get out!! They also quoted us $8,000 to repair our air conditioner. Not a new AC unit, but 8k to repair (and that's also with our discount). Don't fall prey to YES Plumbing. I have been restrained writing negative reviews, however, this one deserves no stars. I had a water heater failure and was considering a tankless. Yes refused to quote anything except a much larger than I needed or wanted to get a higher price and were over $2,000 higher than two other quotes I have. I asked for a quote on a storage (tank) version and as I figured, they were over 30% higher than the other two. When I told them I was not interested need to give me a written quote it got nasty. Do not do any business with them. I should have read the other reviews. I only picked them because they were the referred Rianai dealer here. Even when they arrived, one of the drivers parked in front of a fire hydrant. When I mention it to him, he kept getting out of his truck and just shrugged it off. He did decide that he better move it after seeing the dirty look I was giving him. More proof of there "Holier than thou" attitude. This is a company that gives plumbers a bad name. read more

Well, I can't give a complete report. I needed a water heater (which I bought from Lowe's), so I contacted the Lowe's pro desk and they said that Yes! was their installer. I called and Alex came out the same day, took measurements, and gave me a rough idea of the estimate. It was rather high! The written estimate never came. After several days, I called the company and the dispatcher said they had sent it to me. I confirmed all contact info and asked them to resend, which they did not do. A few days later I called again, but I was told they would resend it. Again it never arrived, so I called Plumbing Kings, who were prompt, professional and much cheaper. read more

Well, it took me a bit to get to this review, but with the absolute poor service I think it is necessary. Went through Angi's list and Yes Plumbing called to hook up our ice maker for a brand new refrigerator. In the process, they dented the front door. Long story short, it took Yes over 2 months to get us a repair check and we had to pay for the repair estimate up front! The part that really burns me is not only did they deduct the full amount of the initial repair, but they took it out of the damaged refrigerator payment. Pretty sure that is not allowed by law. Shame on YES and why are they even on Angie's List with 2 stars on Yelp? Obviously, I am not the only one that has had issues with YES. read more

Had a leak from one of our outside faucets, so we needed to turn off the main water supply. Called Yes & they couldn't give a price over the phone. So tech came out and charged $966 dollars to replace two outside hose bibs & vacuum breakers. My wife was there it took about 30 minutes to finish the entire job. We felt like this was price gouging, so we called several plumbers afterward, and they all quoted around $165-$220 per hose bib. If your looking for fair pricing, please look elsewhere. read more

My toilet over flowed early in the morning, leaked thru my ceiling to down stairs. As I waded thru water got my grandson off to school. We cleaned up all the water as it was no longer dripping thru the ceiling. Not knowing what to do I called Yes plumbing as I have used them for air conditioning service before. A plumber was here in a couple hours. He replaced the insides of 2 toilets which I have done the parts cost a little over $100. Not knowing they work on commission I payed $801,for the 30 minutes he was here. I asked him specifically "will everything be good do I need to call anyone else for the water damage? No you are all good." When I got home from work that night my house smelled of sewage and my ceiling was peeling. I called my homeowners the next day. Upon inspection because it involved sewage it's a category 3, the plumber should have referred me to my homeowners, they covered everything, including replacing the toilet. I reached out to Yes needing info for my homeowners, they did respond but when I questioned the amount, the time and him doing repairs and charging me, they have done nothing. For an experienced plumbing service to take someone's money who is in a panic and needs more than they can do is crappy. He should of taken his $49 for the service call and told me to call my insurance. Shame on you!!! read more

They wanted to try and charge me double the amount of multiple other large reputable licensed and insured HVAC contractors I had gotten quotes from. they have signed up with Home Depot to be an authorized installer of their products and then when you want to have some thing installed they try to upsell you on Their products and state "they don't install Home Depot products"They must not have any business so they tried to get signed up with Home Depot as an authorized installer to try to gather business. they wanted over $11,000 for a 2 ton AC unit. After spending a huge amount on replacing my entire a/c unit,which I found out later if I shopped around I could've saved thousands on my unit,lesson learn,so as part of their service they offer a free plumbing inspection of your home.well the tech comes and barely does anything except check on sewer drain and tells me I need to hydro jet it out and will do the whole house for over $2400. Called someone else,highly recommended,to come and check and was informed that service wasn't needed and it looks good.since I was having no drain issues I just saved me a couple thousand of dollars. What a RIP off these guys are. There guys are out to make commission on innocent customers. Please look elsewhere or at least get a second opinion when using them. If I could give this review a title it would be ~ Rips off Retired Veteran ~ Preforms Shoddy Service ~ Refuses to Correct Mistake. So we have used this company twice in the past for different repairs, and up until Wednesday of this week we would have and have recommended them to anyone needing repairs. We have always felt that their prices were above the industry standards, but were happy to pay them because they provided top notch service. That all came crashing down last week. Last week John noticed that we had a leaking "backflow valve" and we called them for repair. Their estimate was $750.00 after discounts for the military. He agreed to the price even though he felt it should be about a $250.00 repair as the parts would be approx. $100.00. The service person left to get the needed parts and returned about an hour later to do the repair. John thought everything looked fine and paid the service person as the repair could not "be tested" for 48 hours because it "needed to dry". Wednesday of this week, while outside with the dog, John noticed that the repair was leaking and called the company back to correct the error. Later that afternoon the SAME repair person stopped by the house (a couple of hours later than scheduled). He "tested" the repair and stated that even though it was leaking it was installed properly and there was nothing more to be done as "backflow valves" were designed to leak. Here is the issues: 1. You were called to fix a backflow valve leak. 2. Your repair of the backflow valve leaks. 3. You state that backflow valves are designed to leak. So if a backflow valve is designed to leak - why has this one not leaked for over 20 years, and when you were called to make a repair due to the leak - why did you repair something that apparently due to your claim was not broken in the first place? If someone in the company would like to make this right you can call me at {REMOVED}. This number will not be in your records as I am not the one who requested the service, but I AM the one who paid for the repair as John is on a fixed military retirement and could have never afforded to be ripped of to this extent. YES, I am pissed at YES! Looking at your other reviews ~ It looks like I will not hear back from you. You are getting pretty good at receiving one star reviews. I would like to tell people to beware of this company. I ran into them at Home Depot a couple of weeks ago and made an appointment. They almost lured me into $800 or more for an AC maintenance check up and cleaning. The man who came to my house to see if I needed the AC and duct cleaning sounded more like a salesman. I am a woman alone so they probably just saw dollar signs. I called my friend who specializes in AC. He came over and checked everything, even in the attic, and said I didn't need the $800 maintaince and cleaning that everything is clean and running good. He also explained how Yes AC takes advantage of people, especially elderly. Then I read these horrible reviews. Please stay away from these money hungry people! Even during a worldwide pandemic they are vultures!! What a shame!!! Thank God I know an honest man who specializes in AC that would never rip anyone off!!! read more

I tried to reach Sandra at YES plumbing to discuss what was very disturbing to me. I have recently left three messages with the operator but have not received a return call. I had a little water leak coming from a small shut off valve in a bathroom. Three men showed up at my front door for the service call. I was not told that he was bringing two additional men that he was training. With COVID a serious concern I should not have let them in especially with my husband and daughter still being under doctors' treatments for cancer. The main technician, Phil, said there was no leak. When I told him when I turned off the valve it didn't leak but when I turned it on it started to leak. He then said yes she sees the leak. I had him look at another bathroom where the sink pull up stopper wouldn't stay down. They removed the pull up and left the dirty stopper in the sink with all the crud on it. This is what the estimate sheet included: new filtration system at $7,973, replace two faucets & drains $1,224 with customer supplied faucet $352; new toilet $1,076; install customer supplied toilet $410; replace hot and cold shut off valve in hall bathroom $524; replace faucet & pop up drain $612; install customer supplied toilet bidet $216. I was in shock at the pricing. I put the $249 on a credit charge and they left. I researched on line the cost to replace a shut off valve : between $70-$150. I had another plumber recently told me he would have charged $85 for the same work! I will not use Yes Plumbing again and I will not give my friends a referral.
