I called for routine maintenance on our furnace. It was working fine but right off the bat they kept asking how old the unit was. Guy came out for maintenance and first thing he asks is how old it is and suggests it probably needs replacing, before even looking at it and with us having no issues with it. He went up and when he came down he showed me pictures of orange flames which he said were dangerous and showed problems with my units. Also showed black around connections and other things I didn't understand. Said they were unsafe units and leaking. Said IT WOULD BE $60,000 to replace. He said nothing could be fixed but it all needed to be replaced. When I hesitated he said they finance and that he would have his manager call me. I told him I would call him. I got a second opinion from someone else. He took pictures that show those orange flames are blue (said they can be manipulated to be orange) and found no black connections. All working well and safe. I may need a new venting pipe but that is all. Be very careful with these people. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. read more

I have been a customer of YES for years and have not had a problem until recently. In May I contracted with them to replace my A/C unit. $20,000 later and they have not finished the job. Multiple phone calls with no callback. I have a functional a/c but their failure to follow through a finish up with the cosmetic repair of the giant hole in my ceiling. After 3 calls to their main number with promises someone would call and no return calls after 3 months. I ran into one of their Techs at a fast food restaurant and explained my issue and his response was basically that is not his problem. Yes Plumbing and Air Conditioning company was recommended to me by a friend to join their perferred customer program which is a charge of $35.00 per month, which provides for annual service calls. With this service the company comes out checks your air conditioning units then they send out the plumbers to clean out your hot water tank and check the anode rod . The service worker Ken used a power wrench to try to remove the anode rod. After stripping out the top of the rod thus preventing the ability to check the rod, Ken told me he can't remove the rod . Ken then suggested that I falsely claim that the tank leaks and return it for a new one at Home Depot. His company would help with the logistics of returning the tank for $1100.00 . He got into his truck and left, however he forgot to turn the hot water back on into the house and did not close the venting valve which caused my hot water tank to vent copious amounts of water to the outside of the house. Ken did call back later in the day after I had called the office complaining about the service, and advised the company could find another port in the tank and put in a new rod in a new port for $375.00. This is a dreadful company and should be a shame of their business practices. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. They significantly overcharged for the services compared to other Vendors in town. I just had my AC Condensor Fan motor replaced with them and they charged me $ 1300 which is insane. The motor itself cost $ 150 on amazon and it took less than an hour to replace it. I was out of country and my parents were alone at home so they could not shop around and get estimate from other company. Seriously, read these reviews. I never write reviews but I feel compelled to say something to help other people from falling victim to this company. This company is not good. I will never even bother calling them again. How are they still in business with how much they estimate? A tech came out yesterday to diagnose an issue with our AC and said two parts need to be replaced, the AC blower fan and fan motor. My entire AC system at home is less than 5 years old and still have the original manufacturers warranty through Lennox. Lennox have told me that they cover ALL parts during this warranty period and I am responsible for the labor (I called them before I had the tech come out). What would it take to replace these parts, like 2, maybe 3 hours of labor? So what did Yes! quote me?? Since they weren't sure if the system was still in warranty they said $2900 if out of warranty and $2100 if its within warranty! So that means that the parts are only $800, and you're charging me $2100 for LABOR??????? On two parts that need to be replaced on a SINGLE AC unit??????? If the job takes 3 hours, that's $700 an hour!!!!!!!!!!! A premium car dealership such as BMW doesn't even charge $200 an hour, yet you're charging over THREE times that much????????? That's insane! You guys must think the average person is STUPID! The tech did explain that part of the cost is the "paperwork to file the warranty". WHAT? So I have to pay for you to file some paperwork??????? Even so, what's the fee? $100? So still $2000 for labor? CRAZY! I looked up how to replace a fan motor on a AC unit and while it may not be easy, it's definitely not that hard. If I had the time I could probably do it in 2-3 hours with zero training. I'm sure a trained tech could do it in an hour or two. The hardest part is wiring the motor into the system. Looks like it would take 30 minutes. In short these people think that their customers are stupid and are preying on people just paying whatever they want to get their AC units back up and running. Ridiculous. They probably wouldn't even use OEM parts either yet are charging thousands of dollars. Instead of saying Yes! Say No! EDIT - Reply to their comment: "....We acknowledge that our company is not the least expensive choice." This isn't about the least expensive vs. most expensive. This is about you GOUGING your customers who don't know any better. How is your service any better than anyone else? Your estimate didn't even break anything down. The tech who wrote the estimate got it wrong as well, as they wrote that the blower wheel needs to be replaced. The blower wheel is what is inside the house, not the AC unit! In fact he meant the fan needs to be replaced. How is this expectional service when the estimates aren't even written correctly? Unit works well & the service was good, however this company uses the fact they're 'with home depot' to justify price gouging and takes absolute advantage of people. Using promotional pricing (no interest) for extended periods of time let's them get away with this. We had the misfortune of having our AC unit completely die on us today. We were having some issues with the unit earlier this week so we suspected this was coming and finally decided to purchase a new unit. We "took a chance" and shopped around despite having received a significantly lower quote from another company. I hired Yes! because they were recommended by Home Depot. I had them replace my complete HVAC system (two air conditioning units and furnaces) for my home in addition to the hot water heater. They are not the cheapest in town, but the Home Depot offered 24 months of 0% financing. The HVAC parts are covered by a 10 year warranty and Yes! offered a 3 year labor warranty. Also, I hired Yes! because I wanted a company that had been around for some time after so many small businesses went out of business during the Covid lockdown. According to their website, they have been in business for 50 years since 1971 (BTW, 1971 was a great year). I signed a contract with Sandro on a Tuesday and the crew showed up on Wednesday to install two 3 ton 14 SEER Carrier units and 2 furnaces. The crew arrived at 8am sharp and were finished around about 11am. Later that evening, the plumber showed up with the sale representative. The plumber was done installing the new hot water heater in about 1.5 hours. Talk about excellent service. I hope that I will receive excellent service from this company going forward as I was planning to keep their maintenance contract to prolong the life of my HVAC system as well as the hot water heater. Hopefully, if I keep the maintenance on everything up to date, it will be another 11+ years before I have to replace it all again. Honestly, I'm really shocked by the 2 star rating on Yelp because I received excellent service on the installation of my HVAC system and hot water. Well, where to start? First time writing a Yelp review, but I want to save people from what I had to deal with yesterday. I used them 6 years ago to inspect my AC unit, and I thought the tech was great and honest. Basically said the AC looked good and should last a long time. For this reason, I figured I'd use them again. This time, very different experience. I have a knock in my AC unit after it turns off. I called to schedule an appointment, the guy who booked the appointment before asking the issue asked if I had thought of replacing my AC unit (red flag). I told him no, planning on moving soon, just want to make sure it's running fine. He said he it's $99 for them to come look at it. I told him I had a received a $50 coupon via email and asked if that applied. He said it did. I said sure, let's do it. He said he'd have some between 4-8pm. This was about 1pm. At 2pm, I received a call asking if they could come earlier (30-45 minutes from now). I said yes, sounds great. The tech arrived about after 4pm, anyway. I tell him my issue. He begins doing some checks. He says my electric bill must be high because the system isn't inefficient. Says my bill must be $250-300 a month. I say, no it was $140 last month. I don't know anything about HVAC but he shows me some system readings and says the AC unit needs to be replaced. Keep in mind, it works fine it just sometimes has a knocking sound for a bit after it runs. He tells me new AC units typically run about $20,000(!). He says needs to call his boss and goes outside. When he returns, he puts me on the phone with his boss. I didn't ask to speak with his boss, mind you. Who tells me he can give me a special deal of replacing it for $17,309! I tell him I'm not interested. The tech feigns surprise and acts like I'm insane for not taking this "really good deal." I told him, I'll just pay him for his time. I'm not replacing my AC unit for $17k without getting a second opinion. He tells me I can finance it, the units are really hard to get right now, etc. I tell him to email me the quote (he hasn't). I asked what brand and model I was being quoted for and the only answer was, "you need a two-coil unit." I tell him I just want to pay him for the service call. Tech says it's $99, I tell him I have the $50 off coupon. The same one I was told I could use when I made the appointment and tech says it doesn't apply to the service fee. Fine. I just want to get rid of this guy for wasting my time. I pay the $99. On the way out the door, the tech tells me his manager just texted him and they can replace it for only $13,000! Such a deal. I wish I read the Yelp reviews before calling Yes! The whole place seems to essentially be a scam now. read more

I had two toilets that were running very slow and leaking I called them they of course sent in their salesman first which left the two plumbers standing around, this guy did not look really close but decided that I had a hole in my plumbing under three trees halfway between the house and the street, i asked him how much he told me 1600.00 I told him I would call a plumber, I called another plumber who snaked my pipe and it now works just fine. I had a problem with these people a few years ago with my kitchen sink and the garbage disposal of course the same salesman said I needed a more expensive disposal. It gets repaired correctly in short order then these guys get 5+ stars. ALL of the employees were experienced, clean-cut, nice & cordial gentlemen. I asked for an hvac tune up and they came out to my house replaced the motor on the unit and within 3 weeks the blades had unwelded ( nothing wrong with them before on their original inspection) and other damage was caused by the weld breaking. They came back out and replaced the motor again and put in a new fan blade told me coolant levels were low so they'd fill them but if there's damage there they won't fix it? There were no leaks or damage before the motor was replaced if something was put back together wrong in the original replacement process you need to fix all the damage it caused as none of it was preexisting! read more

These guys are scam artists. They told my family member that their duct work needed to be replaced in the attic. They showed us a photo on their phone of the faulty duct work but it was a photo from some other random person's duct work. If they show you a photo of "faulty duct work" ask to hold their phone and tap the photo to see when the photo was taken. They are not to be trusted. Also, they own an electrical company so don't let them upsell you on a new electrical panel. They told us ours was at risk of failure and we have a licensed electrician in the family who told us that the panel is 110% fine. I don't know how these guys sleep at night. He was Professional and went above and beyond to assure us we will not have anymore issues. He went so far as to give us his personal card. He restored our faith in YES company. Difficult situation with AC technician - I left work when I got a call from my wife in tears because of how a tech treated her. It looks like a guy with the same name has another 1 star review from a few months ago. I got home and saw the van down the road walk over to them and asked them to tell me about the situation that just happened. Two guys in the van with the AC blasting wouldn't step outside to talk me. So I am standing outside in the heat getting information about what happened. I ask what he did and if he looked at the outside unit for the service call and he wouldn't answer it. I proceed to ask him multiple times to just answer the yes or no question and he still wouldn't answer it. Guy says he left since my wife told him she didn't feel comfortable with them in the house. I said do you know why she felt this way. He said it was because of what he said. I'm understanding and could quickly figure out it wasn't what he said but how he said it so I asked him do you think it was how you said it. He goes on to say "I'm going to talk to you man to man" which I immediately responded with, "No - You should talk to me professional to professional" and "you should have talked to my wife as a professional." He then proceeds to say "Oh, you are one of those people." Then asks me if I am a man. I said let's just use this as a training moment and he then proceeded to roll the window up because the conversation wasn't going his way. I wasn't even going to leave a review. I don't care about the $49 service fee, I don't expect to change him, I won't loose any sleep over the situation, and I will be there for my wife to process the grossly condescending conversation. What I would hate to happen is for this person to affect anyone else's day. I wouldn't want him in anyones house or speaking to any lady that I even slightly care about until they change their approach and attitude toward others. I called the phone number to the company and a person from Florida answered the phone and said that she spoke to the dispatch lady who left a message for the quality control person to give me a call since they are at lunch. I confirmed my number and haven't received a call back. Once more I will chalk this up to a training/learning situation for their team and am including a warning for all the women out there - good luck. Update 1 - It has been 72 Hours with no response from Quality Control. I don't hold this individual entirely responsible but the lack of training and the poor communication from the company by not following up with a concern from a service call. Also, they replaced our Anode rod in the water heater for $350 (!!!)--they only cost about $30--even thou they did the work, they charge way too much money. They charge WAY TOO MUCH for all their services. We used them because they were recommended but we have to stop this or we will run out of money! -- We check other companies with good reviews and they could have done a good job for a MUCH lower price.
