This place is an absolute joke. They installed a new unit for my mom 3 years ago. A year after she was getting so much dirt coming out of her air vents. They sent someone out and he checked over everything, no mentions of any issues but they offered a free duct cleaning( about the only decent thing this company has done) fast forward to now( another 2 years later ) and the ac completely dies. She calls them and they inform her that to have someone come out and check her ac that it's going to cost her $80 and they offer her a maintenance package. She pays the $80 and the technician comes out to check. He writes her up an estimate for $10,000. Yes. You read that number right. Apparently according to the technician there is all sorts of things wrong including "failing" ducts and they all need replaced. So, if they need replaced why didn't they mention it two years earlier when they did the cleaning?! Anything to get over on people and make money. Had another company come out and take a look, turns out the compressor is bad...which also seems ridiculous considering the unit is only 3 years old. If you want to save yourself a headache and money, do yourself a favor and go with another company. Stay away!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. WORST SERVICE PERIOD. They did a tune-up on our AC units this morning. Outside only. My units were working FINE before they came. I left shortly after and returned to a very hot upstairs. My unit is now not working. I contact them (11pm) to be told they can come at 8am. NOT acceptable I tell him. This is BECAUSE they were here. Now we have to suffer? I ask for management. I'm told he will request I get contacted and to expect 24-48 hours. SERIOUSLY!? Don't use them. NOT worth the aggravation. Service provider went out to one of my properties to do an AC tuneup. They called me and advised they cannot doe to "exposed wiring." But, yet they still charged me. They also do not fix this issue. So, I had an electrician come out, and they laughed because the "exposed wiring" was not exposed at all. It was "rock dust" that had hardened on the wiring from moisture. Nothing wrong with the wiring leading to the AC unit or its electrical source. Since I was charged and misdiagnosed, and the fact that they keep calling me to sell me other services, and based on the performance on the past two calls that I have had them out on, I will not use again. read more

I had a pipe burst in my house so with the insurance money, we bought a new water heater since ours had to be replaced. We bought the Rinnai one from Lowe's since it was on sale. A $2000 heater for $1300, couldn't go wrong! Come to find out that there are only authorized installation companies and Yes!, is one. So I asked for a quote. Guy comes I. And says if we bought his tank, it's $8000 but since I'm providing my own, it will be $5000! WTH? 5k to install a water heater that cost me $1300? Still, I went with it because my wife wanted hot water for laundry, cooking and washing the dishes and baths. Guy comes to install it and I have to end up coaching the plumber on how to find studs in the wall before he uses the hole saw to drill out my walls! Also had to show him how to patch the wall after he messed it up. Then I start looking online and come to find out that the NATIONAL average to install a tankless hot water heater is between $1200 and $2500! Yes DOUBLES the highest National average for what? Crappy service and people who don't know what they are doing! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone and haven't! They came out yesterday to install a water heater. Not only were they on time they were early! Two very nice gentlemen came to look at the work. I wish I would have got their names but you probably look it up in your records. Anyway the one guy was the one giving the price quote while the other guy was the one to do the labor. Both professional, cleaned up after the install, took old tank away all in about two hours. They exceeded expectations on all levels. Probably not the cheapest in town but to have them show up early and do such a good job was worth it to me. read more

They had to knock out some of the wall behind shower which shared with my bedroom. Then said i would have to find a wall repair place because they wouldnt be responsible for patching it up. What??? You are gonna knock out some wall but are not responsible for patching it back?? So I declined and called another plumber. 150$ later it was just a part inside the shower handle. We had them come out to do a quick tune-up after the guy at home-depot sold us on his guys. The service tech was really good and did a fine job of doing a basic tune-up and was super respectful by wearing shoe covers in our home. He even honored the original price the home-depot guy quoted on the service and this review doesn't necessarily go on him. After he did some poking around, he hit us with the dreaded "your capacitor is going bad on both units." The units are around five years old and the previous home owner just switched those out right before we closed on the house. I'm guessing some HVAC guy hit her with the "the capacitor's are bad and you gotta pay before they go out" speech. Here's where it gets fun. Reading other reviews of the company all say the same thing. So those that don't know, that part runs between $15 and $27 each at Lowe's, Grainger and any other supply stores. You don't want to do these yourself because they are pretty dangerous if you don't discharge them before removal. They will burn you pretty bad if you don't know what you're doing, so as they say, leave this to the professionals. These guys wanted $375 dollars per unit to install them. So with the tune up, these two parts replaced and a service call charge on top of all that. You're looking at $1100 dollars to spray off the condensers, swap out two parts and to take some photos in our attic to tell me that my ducts are bad and needed replacing. They were just replaced about 5 years ago when the new system was put in. But wait, he can save me some money if he sells me in their service plan that includes them coming out 2x a year to tune up the A/C and heating system and have the plumbing inspected. They would have saved me about $200. Well hell, where do i sign up for that one. The plan is only around $400 and something a year and the numbers just didn't add up. So save yourself some time, energy and Tylenol for the headache that you'll get trying to figure out their math and know that when they come out for a tune-up they're gonna tell you the capacitor is going bad and that it's gonna cost you a pretty penny to fix it. Or, just call someone else and get multiple quotes before you have them do any work at all. And yes, Yes!, you can answer this with the "fair market value" for your area reply to this review like you did with all the others that have the same reviews, don't waste your time responding because you'll drive yourself insane trying to answer all of the 1 and 2 star reviews. There's a darn good reason why you guys only have 2 stars for 570+ reviews. The only reason you got 2 stars is because your tech put on booties when he came in. read more

Our heating unit was having issues reaching the selected temperature for about four days, intermittently. Finally, we got tired of the inconsistency so we called the number on our Emerson thermostat that connected us to Yes! Air Conditioning. The young lady that answered did great at taking down our information was very polite. Despite having an appointment at around 2 pm, the driver called 15 minutes after I hung up and said that he had an opening to come out and check our issue. Alex was our technician that day and he made quick work of our issue when he showed up. Turns out, our flameout sensor was dirty and a fuse was faulty. It was a cheaper service than I expected, at just below $100 dollars and I couldn't be happier with the service and how quick they were able to come fix our issue. No more cold, sleepless nights thanks to Yes! Air Conditioning. Thanks guys! read more

I've called this company three times for various issues with my AC and plumbing. The first two experiences were satisfactory (not great) but this last service call was a joke. The tech told me everything under the sun was wrong and I needed to fix four separate items to make our system run again (1. electronic control board, 2. inducer motor, 3. gas valve and of course 4. duct cleaning) - $2,500 was all it takes! So I paid the $49 service call fee and shopped around for a new electrical control board because I knew that was the primary issue. The motor and gas valve were fine (I checked) but I do need to clean the coils soon. I found the electrical control board for my system for $92 on Amazon.com. It was a newer Honeywell model so it did take some basic understanding of wiring and some skill with tools. It took a couple of hours and a trip to Ace hardware to buy some wires but I took care of all of it on a Saturday afternoon. My system now works great again... all for less then $100. Mmmm. $2,500 or $100. Let me think. So next time the Yes Man comes to your house, be very skeptical. Ask questions and see if it is something you or a friend can fix on your own. Oh, and YES they tried to sell me complete new systems for both upstairs and downstairs for $20,000+! read more

I requested HVAC service thru Home Depot in Pahrump and "YES" Air Conditioning and Plumbing responded quickly. I stated I had a small Freon leak as I could hear hissing and needed soldering and a recharge. The techs that came out were professional and I have nothing negative to say about them. However, they told me they could not quote this small repair (pinhole leak in copper line) without calling the main office as well as needing their permission to perform the repair. The repair was "authorized" and I was quoted $1437 to solder the pinhole leak and recharge the unit with R22! I asked for an itemized repair quote and the tech said he was not "authorized" to provide as the main office sets the price?? He did state they charged $500 for 2lbs of Freon and since my unit required 5 lbs, I would be charged for 6lbs! That is $1500 for Freon alone! He said he would give me a break and charge me for a "recharge" which saved a bit of money. Researching the average cost for R22 Freon it ranges from $50 to $150 per pound including labor to perform this service. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF AND WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THEM I have several Rental Properties and they could have had a cash paying customer. I called Anji's list to get a handyman or plumbing contractor to fix my leaking toilet. They sent me a service team from YES Airconditioning and Plumbing. They looked at the toilet and then opened their charging book to state that they could fix it for $350. I said that was ridiculous. I then went to Home Depot, found the needed part, and paid $6.98. It took 2 minutes to install. What a rip-off. I am warning people not to use YES. They are rip-offs, and I will tell everyone I see how bad they are. read more

Had a great experience with Yes! after a terrible experience with a contractor my homeowners warranty sent me to. Within an hour from calling YES!, Yes contractor was at my door. Although I had to go outside of my homeowners warranty to get them(and pay out of pocket of course) I highly recommend them. Being a new homeowner I wasn't sure who to contact that actually knows my AC Unit system so I got their number from my thermostat. They are definitely efficient and knowledgeable of what they are doing. The previous company we hired have not been able to diagnose my AC problems and we were going on day 3 without AC! While the guys who come are nice enough, they are unscrupulous in their business practices and bring gouging to a anew level. They installed a water softener four years ago which set me back quite a lot. When it started leaking I called to get them to look at it. They quoted almost half the cost to replace the head or suggested I buy a new unit! This is an industrial grade softener and I wasn't about to shell out thousands - Along with their other other suggested quotes to replace my water heater. I called another plumbing company (which I will review separately) that came within two hours and replaced a couple pieces in the softener head for 10% of what Yes quoted me. I don't begrudge people to make money but seriously ? A couple pieces and they wanted to charge thousands ! The other plumber said I should get another 8-10 years out of this unit easily. After having these guys install an all new and incredibly expensive air conditioning system in my home, I was told by another company that the air ducting that Yes! had done was not properly installed, and had become detached as a result. I called Yes! to arrange for them to come inspect their work. They immediately tried to sell me a membership package for unit maintenance before I redirected the conversation back to the reason I was calling which was their alleged improper installation of my unit. The person answering the phone told me that if they came to my house they would charge a $79 consultation fee, and then whatever else the technician would see fit to add on top of that to repair the work that, again, they are alleged to have done improperly to begin with. They were unapologetic and unwavering. That smiling guy giving the thumbs up on the side of their van would seem to indicate customer satisfaction, but in reality serves to symbolize an arrogant gloating over a profitable yet unethical approach towards refusing to stand behind their own work. We called this company to get an estimate on toilet flange repair. After discussion on what they "wanted" to do, they want to jackhammer our floor, and cement, install the brand new toilet we bought, they wanted $1795 !!! The dispatcher (Jessica) was extremely rude. Was on hold for 8 minutes while she was looking for our info. She didn't relay the message I asked her to to the techs. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Please read the whole post. I am a Journeyman Lineman (High Voltage Electrician). YES came to my house for a yearly check up. Roof top units. Service Tech told me my Capacitor was "No Good", my heat exchanger was cracking at the welds causing a dangerous situation, and my Compressor was drawing 87amps. He even had pictures. LIES, LIES, LIES. He qouted me $330 for the Capacitor replacement. (Caps only cost $30 to $50 depending on the size. I asked what the Microfarads read on the Capacitor (For the most part a Capacitor either works or it does not). He had a Deer in the Headlights look. The Pic of my Heat Exchanger was NOT MY EVEN MY HEAT EXCHANGER. Not only that, mine is a "Negative Pressure" unit, so even in the case of a weld crack it would not leak in to our house. He FLAT OUT LIED to me about that. I took an amp reading on my Compressor and The Peak Amps my unit would draw was 13amps. He also lied about that. I called a Buddy of mine who works on commercial units and he came by just to confirm I was not the one FULL OF S**T. He confirmed that YES was lying about EVERYTHING! I can only imagine that they get away with their BS 90% of the time. But the fact of the matter is they have been caught Red Handed as Liars and NO ONE should use them!!!! My buddy did tell me that most of the Big Name service people use this kind of practice. I think it is time this Country starts using Mom and Pop outfits!!!! I had to use them years ago. They were here on three occasions, and would not check my toilet that I kind of thought was leaking. They were just stand there and look at it and said they didn't see anything and never checked it. Well, it was leaking and eventually the leak started coming through my kitchen ceiling I called a different plumber. They immediately found the problem and the bolt had been broken so it was loose and water was leaking underneath into the flooring. All my tile was getting loose. They said the toilet could've fallen through the ceiling. Had to have the flood control come out because by then I had mold had to have my whole bathroom for tore up and part of the wall. It ended up costing me close to $20,000 insurance would not cover any of it. Had yes checked my toilet the first second or third time this would not have happened. Also, while they were out one of those three times they overtightened my bathtub faucet on a Roman tub and caused me a leak, but I got charged for instead of them covering. It. Ended up with a hole in my ceiling for that also. had them replace faucets in my bathroom found out through another plumber that came but the one faucet wasn't even hooked up correctly. It was out of sync. I didn't use that much and then I had to start using it and found out it was leaking because they never totally corrected it I would never ever use them again. read more

A/C coil unit started leaking. Technician said drain pan was rusted out and had a hole in it. He said there was a class action lawsuit brought against the company that produced these defective drain pans. However, most homeowners with these defective drain pans were not aware of the lawsuit or the fact these pans could cause drainage/leaking problems. They immediate recommended replacing the a/c coil unit for $5,700.00 or replacing the entire HVAC system for $15,000.00 due to the age of system. The company said they could replace the HVAC the next day. Prices would be going up soon because COVID-19 caused massive parts shortages in the industry. They trash talk their competitors Iin order to get you to buy from YES. They say they have the best prices and will quickly repair damages they cause through HVAC replacement. Well its been 2 weeks since my HVAC was replaced by YES and I am still waiting for them to repair the damages they caused during removal of my old HVAC. I was told it would take a month to get someone out to repair the damage to my home. This was totally unacceptable and not what was promised to me during the selling phase by YES. Yes is to busy upselling their customers on replacement HVAC systems. Its more lucrative for them to replace rather repair your HVAC. They have fallen way behind on their after the HVAC replacement damage repairs due to their push to upsell you to a new system. However, they will not tell you this upfront. Do yourself a favor and use a more customer friendly company that will focus on repairing your HVAC rather than pushing you towards replacing it because it means more dollars for them. This company saved my family. My heat exchanger had a crack in it somewhere not visible. Yes! found that my system was leaking carbon monoxide into the house during their tune up process!!! I immediately spoke to one of their sales guys and had a new heater and AC installed SAME DAY! Two weeks later my hot water looked rusty so I had their plumbers come out to have a look. Turns out my water heater was rusted out and needed replaced. They had a brand new tankless installed SAME DAY!! I couldn't believe how responsive they were. I signed up for their maintenance program and set up an appointment to get my "free" AC tune-up. Both of my units are working fine. The tech arrived, and within 5 minutes I was told that my capacitors were bad on both units, at a cost of $640 for the pair! Summer is starting so I okayed the work, only to look up later that the parts range from $20-$30 each (look them up, they're dual run capacitors for AC, one was 45/5 uF, the other 55/5 uF). I felt so ripped off, so I called the office and they essentially told me I already approved the work. Also, the actual replacement involves removing the clamp that holds the capacitor, and snapping on 3 lugs to terminals on the top of the capacitor. Mind you, I wouldn't mind paying an additional $100 for the replacement work, because it can be dangerous...but $640? Ruined my whole day. read more

If there was a minus rating, I would give it to them. I am in the process of selling my home and the inspector said ther was a problem with the air condition not slowing into 2 of the rooms. Yes came in and I received for $13,055.63. His comment was "I inspected ductwork and noticed that the ductwork was ran incorrectly therefore the 2 rooms are suffering from air flow. Attic is very small we will have to eliminate the existing ductwork and drum new ductwork to solve the air flow issue" I have lived here for 7 yrs and never had a problem. Called Bob's Heating and air. He wasn't in the house 5 minutes, looked at the filters, changed them and everything was fine. Bob's said nothing wrong with the ductwork, just the filters hadn't been changed in a while. Praise the Lord for honest companies like Bob's. I will be recommending them. We had some plumbing done by Yes! And we're convinced that by subscribing to their service contract we'd have many things taken care of such as air conditioning service and hot water heater flushed. We've scheduled our hot water heater flushing 3 separate times now with each one getting canceled by them. We've re-arranged plans to be home, and then had the service call us to tell us that our appointment needs to rescheduled instead of "we're on our way". $286 vs. $150 at another company. Here's the facts about YES. My pilot light wasn't staying lit. After doing some research online and seeing visible corrosion on my thermocouple, it was safe to say this needed to be replaced in order to keep the pilot on. I went to the store and picked one up for $13 just to have one ready. Scheduled with YES to have someone come out between 6-8pm. Was told technician would be a few hours late. Arrived at my house at 11pm. He was friendly and professional. Upon looking at my water heater the technician told me I should replace the gas thermostat because it was probably going bad. Also, replace the entire Pilot And Igniter Assembly. Also the co2 vent needed to be slid into place an the anode rod needed to be replaced. For all this work, it was better to install a new unit (quoted $1200). After his quote, I asked the technician if the pilot light wasn't staying on because of the corroded $13 thermocouple that I had researched online. (9x out of 10 this is why a pilot light won't stay lit) at first he told me it couldn't be replaced on its own, the entire burner assembly needed to be replaced. Plus, he didn't have a replacement thermocouple with him. This is the point when I told him it could be replaced on its own and I already purchased one. He then agreed it could be replaced independent of the entire burner assembly and said "$286 is the price in the book". I declined and was charged $29 for the recommendations and estimate. I ended up calling "Pure Plumbing" at 7am and they were at my house by 8am for a free evaluation and estimate. Replaced my thermocouple for $150 (parts and labor) and my water heater is back up and running. read more

I am a power plant instructor and I have a welding background. (. 40 years) I asked for a simple desolder with push connectors to plumb up , my self bought water system. The quote verbally was 1000 dollars yet on the written quote was 800 dollars. Issue 1 was it was simply overpriced for 30 minutes work. Second was the incongruity of the two quotes. I purchased a heat pump unit from them. The guy was so convincing while I had two already. Made me feel they were going to install the best unit. Ok I was convinced so I went with them the total 14000 plus. They came installed and left. I figured they would install what they claimed to. The next day I went out and found out they did not install the unit they claimed they were going to. I went through Home Depot. So called home depot and they were so accommodating. So when my air conditioner went out a couple weeks ago I really had no idea who to call. The first recommended place charged $150 just to come out and look at it. I then saw Susan's review. I called them Thursday morning and they were willing to come out that day between 3-5. Well, I couldn't schedule that but they gave me a time frame of 8-10 the next morning. They arrived closer to 8. They even covered their feet with those little booties. They gave me two options. One high, one low. They advised going with the low. So far it's working -- crossing fingers here. When I did make the initial phone appointment they did offer some water flushing service but because I had read the previous review I just said no. Do not call this company if you are looking for a company you can trust. My AC was leaking and their tech came out on Sunday. The tech proceeded to tell me that my AC was rusted out and, because the manufacturer did not sell parts, I would need to replace the entire unit. I was also told I would need to replace the condenser because it would not be compatible with the new unit. The tech got his salesman on the phone and I was told it would cost between $10,000 and $11,000. About 20 minutes later the salesman is at more door to discuss costs. I asked the salesman to give me his best price and that I would also be getting 2-3 more opinions. The salesman advised that if he gave me his best price now, I would have to sign up for the install at that time. I advised him that maybe Yes Man is not the company for me. Before the tech and salesman left I was then advised that I would not be able to use my AC at all because the system would fail (and it was about 108 degrees outside). I called another AC tech repair person who came out immediately. He said my unit was in perfect working condition and that I only had clogged water lines. He blew out the water lines and it did not even cost me $200.00. I was aware that some companies out there take advantage of people, especially women and older people, but I have been very lucky and never experienced this until now. I felt bullied and extreme pressure to sign on the dotted line for a whole new system that I did not need. I am sure there are senior citizens out there, on fixed incomes, that have gone into debt for a system that was not needed because they trusted this company.
