Really disappointed in the food we ordered at this restaurant. The salmon was under cooked and pretty much flavorless. The chicken Tika Marsala was over cooked and pretty much flavorless as well. The staff was friendly but not attentive and when I told them about how I didn't like the food they were not helpful or apologetic whatsoever. Food and service was great! We were unfamiliar with some of the menu options and the server was patient and friendly despite the restaurant being busy. He explained the dishes and even recommended a few. The garden salad we ordered, and split among the table, was large and tasty. The naan bread and various sauces allowed us to experience new flavors. Food tasted fresh and I liked the fresh vegetables they added as edible garnish on many of their dishes. The veggies added a nice textural and flavorful combination. (My fav was the unexpected peas in the tikka masala) The presentation was very appealing and I appreciated that every component of the dish came on a separate bowl/plate. This place was beyond amazing for so many reasons! Ambiance, service, and recommendations were so good! The food itself was beyond delicious! The garlic naan was to die for! I could've slept in a blanket of that naan! Above all the amazing food though, I left my purse there during the end of their lunch shift and didn't realize until after they closed between 3 and 5.......I was also in route home to northern California so by the time they reopened I was hours away from turning back to pick it up! When I called them they said it was there and were so kind about my crazy question of having them send it to me via mail. (My entire life was in that purse)! Needless to say my purse has arrived, days later and fully in tact! No money or C Cards missing! There is some kindness still left in this world and it comes from people who make beautiful food! Really wanted to love this place, but the service was so horrible it was difficult to taste the food. It seemed like no one was truly looking after the tables. Super slow, no check ins to see if we were on or needed anything, no plate clearing, fork replacement, and half our food wast brought to the table. Here's how it ended: I never received a replacement fork, or my rice, so I had to get up from the table and find a server to ask for to go boxes in hopes that I could enjoy my dinner at home. Keep working on the service levels, we really did want this to be a new favorite. read more

This place was a very pleasant surprise to find. Literally one of the best Indian food meals we have had in a long time and we are from the Bay Area! It was one hit after another. The Yeti beer brewed in house was a great starter. Along with perfectly cooked samosas. We had garlic cilantro naan which was fresh out of the oven was amazing!! I have been sick for three days now! One of the best chicken momos i've ever had. Don't mistake them for the dumpligs that you get at any chinese restaurant. They were juicy and savory. It took like15-20 minutes to arrive( a little wait for an appetizer), but definitely worth the wait. For entrees, the lamb shank curry was amazing and u get 2 huge shanks, enough for two to share. The garlic cilantro naan and honey butter naan were really good too. They were too big and we had leftovers for the next day. They do have a nice, full bar. Moscow mule and mango margarita were good as well and nicely presented. Did not have room for dessert but the options looked good. We've had a couple of really good meals there and it is becoming a favorite. Some comments about spice: I think they go light on spice trying to please American palate, so if you want stronger spice you need to ask for it, in which case they will bring you some SPICE !!!. I had a lamb curry last night and loved it. Their pistachio ice cream dessert was yummy. We will be back again with guests. The interior is great.. this used to be a Lyons, and we were shocked at how beautiful it is inside. Service was wonderful.. staff helpful and prompt. Servings generous, so prices are reasonable considering you can go home with half your order and have lunch the next day. read more

excellent, excellent flavors. we came here 2 nights in a row to try more dishes because it was so tasty. our waitress the second night though was like trying to upsell us on everything and made it really awkward like um no we dont want that.. are we doing sometjing wrong by not ordering that? she suggested rice, we said no, she questioned us. she suggested naan bread, we said no, she questioned us. we ordered 2 vegetarian dishes and she suggested getting a tandoori, with chicken. I said no I dont eat meat and she kind of sighed realizing we werent ordering as much as she wanted us to? I ordered the Vegetable Special Lunch at $13.99 per the menu. The menu listed soup, saag paneer, seasonal veggie curry, rice, naan, and side salad. What I got was rice, salad, and veggie curry for $10.99. When I told the server that I was confused and that what I had received was NOT what the menu stated, she acted confused and did not offer any help or explanation. Another server brought my bill and gave me my change (like she was hiding when I had only politely asked for an explanation). I stay at the Hillside Inn when in SR right next to Yeti so I end up eating there quite a bit. The Momo (chicken or veggie ) appetizer is always delicious, the Tikka Masala is spicy but good, the Pepper Pot soup is perfect during the cold weather and the Naan of any type is warm, fresh and quite large (I think it has its own Zip code!) but I wanted to try something different so I went for MUGHLAI MALAI KOFTA (Minced vegetables, cashew nuts, raisins and homemade farmer's cheese croquettes cooked in a tikka masala sauce) which was very filling, tasty and not too heavy. My two complaints is Naan, Rice, etc., is all extra which makes it more expensive than other Indian restaurants and the specials are sparse and usually a little spendy. Wish they would offer a little evening combo entree with a side or two for a nice price? read more

It was average Indian food. Was really excited to come try this after seeing all the great reviews of yeti in glen Ellen. It was a little pricey compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. Naan was huge! I had a shrimp basal dish. It was good but nothing to get too excited about. I ordered it spicy and I could barely taste any spice. There are few Indian and Nepalese in Santa Rosa, and this is by far the best. Their serving size of Naan is huge, and extremely flavorful. I had the Saag Paneer which was extranet good. By far the best Saag I have ever had. Additionally the Thai iced tea was very pretty and tasty. I went with my family and they had a variety of foods which they said were all very good. I had lunch at Yeti for the first time today and overall it was a good experience. Service was friendly and helpful from the time we entered the door. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and naan. The chicken was a little over cooked, however the sauce helped make up for it and with the naan to clean up the left over sauce, I left very happy. Definitely worth a return! read more

Three of us went to Yeti this week and ordered different dishes, two kinds of naan and two sauces - mango chutney and chili paste. Every dish was a delicious winner and the sauces were each excellent and complemented the main courses. The naan is enormous as well as tasty - if you order more than one, don't leave one on top of the other or the heat of the top one will soften the one on the bottom by the time you get to it! In spite of our best efforts, we could not finish the entire meal and took some home for a later treat. Highly recommend and will return without a doubt. Five of us had lunch there recently and we shared some dishes. All were quite good. We had the tandoori platter which had a sampling of some different dishes with rice and naan. We also had lamb curry which was my favorite. The platters, bowls, and utensils are all nice quality and make for an attractive presentation. The mango lassi was sweet and tasty. I have always wondered how this place managed to maintain a 4 star rating on Yelp. I've been there 2-3 times and each time thought it thoroughly mediocre. That is until last night, when it was TRULY BAD in every respect! Yesterday was the tail end of Sonoma County's Indian Summer heat wave and we elected to go to Yeti's over Everest right up the street on Hwy 12 because the latter does not have air conditioning. Big mistake! On top of the food being its usual mediocre quality, we waited 45 minutes to be served while others who came in after us came and went. The waiter (who was young, inexperienced and completely out of his depth!) screwed up both food and drink orders and only managed to eek out a small tip by deducting some items off the final bill. In fairness to him though, the real fault was with the kitchen staff, who managed to do just about everything imaginable wrong with our order. NEVER AGAIN YETI. Patronize at your own risk! read more

Came across Yet's last night (12/01/16) & read a few reviews & we decided to give it a try. How could you go wrong? Took awhile to be greeted....then asked if we had a reservation- no. Went to bar ordered a drink & table was ready. We noticed the specials advertised on the board outside but no mention from the wait person. Ordered & received appetizer. They never cleared those dirty dishes...we stacked for them & not attentive on refilling water. We kept waiting for our food to arrive ... Nothing & no update from the wait person. After 40 min finally received entrees. Well...I had chicken curry. It was so bland & no taste of curry. Hubby's lamb special was so tough I thought he was chewing on shoe leather! Awful! For the price it could have been better. No one came by to check on us until we were finished . I mentioned that the curry had no taste. They asked what I had. "Chicken Curry", then they said something about spices which didn't understand. Another person our actual wait person asked & I told her also. She talked to someone & took 5% off. Wasn't impressed at all & won't recommend or return. Too expensive for mediocre food. read more

Saw their sign for an all you can eat buffet, and, as there is only one other in Sonoma County, I had to go. Turns out it is only on the weekend.. sat mid-day I think. Anyway, My friend and I were seated right away. Staff were friendly and smiling. restrooms Clean. The buffet was northern Indian Himalayan cuisine, curry, lentils rice etc. There was lamb and chicken dishes also. A glass of chilled champagne was served as part of the brunch, nice. A lovely young waiter graciously offered a large steaming plate of glistening and lightly spiced Naan bread, fresh from the oven and too hot to dive into for a bit. There was a large group meeting in the main restaraunt, Nepalese community/ earthquake etc. The atmosphere was pleasant and just noisy enough to give an air of merriment and jovial attitude all around. The staff were gracious and seemed very appreciative that we came to 'their house' for our meal. $20 for the plate, but well worth it. Can't wait to go back read more
