I hate to give a bad review to a mom and pop shop and being a four minute drive I really wanted to like these guys. But here goes...went once last year when my rims needed to be trued. My bike is only worth $250 so I wasn't thrilled to be charged $40 each to get the wheels true. But the bike was useless with the wheels wobbling so I sucked it up. I only ride the bike on a bike path by the ocean. No trails or off road bumpy terrain. I admit I'm an extra large guy (6 foot two, 250 pounds) riding a large bike and I do occasionally jump a curb. But still, I was disappointed when six months later my rims needed to be Re-trued. Now I'm 160.00 in on a bike that only cost me $250. He remembered me but didn't offer any kind of a break on the redo, and was careful to point out that he couldn't guarantee the work this time either. The third and final time I went there, 11 miles into a 22 mile ride I heard an actual "pop" as two of my spokes broke! OK, maybe the rims are not of the highest quality? But it's a pretty solid bike - a hybrid 24 speed GT road bike with aluminum frame. Not a piece of garbage. I've been riding bikes my whole life and I've never had problems like this with the wheels. Anyways, I went back a third time with the wheel and showed him the broken spokes. He wasn't interested in helping. Just got a new rim, he offered. He told me he didn't have replacement spokes for it and couldn't fix it. What kind of a bike shop doesn't have replacement spokes? so I started over. I went to Josephs Bike Shop in Granada hills where the guy happily took my rim. Charged $18! To fix it AND true it. Did it quickly. And told me that the other guy had overtightened one side of the rim causing this problem. Live and learn. I have found my new bike shop. that's the difference between being taken care of and being taken advantage of. Sorry YG read more

I needed to have two bike tires repaired today after running over some thorns in the park. My experience with this shop was really nice. It's a small family run business -- the mom, dad, and daughter were there in the shop. The parents speak some English, but primarily Spanish. The daughter helped with the language barrier by translating. My bike was repaired on the spot at a reasonable price, and I ended up also purchasing a more cushioned seat to replace the factory seat. I called around 5 bicycle shops here in Santa Clarita and each one had the answering machines set at we are busy now and please call us back after a 3 days or 6 days or a week so I called YG and Andria picked up the phone and I asked if I could bring my bike to a tire and tube change and some oiling of the chain. She was most welcoming and said that I would have to wait till my bike got done. I was at the store in 20 minutes from Valencia and these people were the most polite I've seen in a very long time. I sat there at the shop and the mechanic did my bike in less than 25 minutes and the charges were very very reasonable. I was also able to test the bike in the parking lot before I bought it. They have bike warranty for 6 months, you can still come in for service.
