I was the only one in our party who had not been to this place before and, in the end, the only person who wasn't crazy about the food here. As with most hibachi places, the entertainment factor was A+ and the service was good, but the food was mid. Beth, our waitress, was attentive. Our group of 9 all ordered a variety of hibachi. I chose chicken hibachi which came with miso soup, ginger salad, and grilled shrimp with a egg yolk sauce. The others in my party were obsessed with the egg yolk sauce way more than I was. There was just way too much food and honestly, it was all a bit bland. You get lots of food here, that's for sure, especially of rice. I would have liked more vegetables to diversify the meal. As for the starters, the miso was actually one of the best I have had but the ginger dressing was a weird color and the shrimp dish was not my fave. I ate the leftovers of my hibachi for lunch the next day and it heat up well but I noticed that not all the rice was cooked in the end. I ate it all anyway, of course. Apparently, this is the best hibachi place in the area so maybe I am just picky. Try it out - maybe you're fine with lots of food that isn't too flavorful that has way too much butter and oil.

I am having a weird mental health day today, feeling sorry for myself for gaining 19 pounds in a…read moreyear and a half, so after running some errands, I got myself a late lunch of the only healthy thing I could think of - a poke bowl. They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today.

The servings are generous, I'm always satisfied after eating here. It's never been busy and the service is fast. I often order for pickup, which says it will take 20 min, but it's always ready in about 10. There's plenty of stool- counter seating if you want to dine in. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area!

All the food I've had has been good. I try to get different things every time im there and am always pleased. Pricing is very fair given the quality and atmosphere. Unfortunately we were completely ignored at our table. Several other two-tops got seated and the large party and they were all attended and even got their drinks before anyone greeted us or got our drink order. Eventually we moved tables to something more in the center of the dining room and still no one came to us. It wasn't until I flagged down a group of servers and food runners chit chatting by the corridor to the bathroom that someone finally came to our table. It's a shame the service sucked because the food was delicious. I loved my plum wine and spicy creamy V ramen. I added some extra veggie toppings which I think gets ridiculously pricey considering the ramen is already priced kind of high. My boyfriend had the chicken wings and white rice. He seemed to have enjoyed it. The following time I ordered delivery to avoid the spotty service we received last time. The packaging was great and it arrived early and was nice and hot. The V red fire opal ramen was DELICIOUS. And I'm absolutely obsessed with the matcha tiramisu. Delectable. I still want to try the Flying V harvest ramen. I appreciate they have several vegetarian options, considering the majority of the menu contains pork. Perhaps the next time I dine in and the service is improved they'll get that 5th star.
