I am having a weird mental health day today, feeling sorry for myself for gaining 19 pounds in a year and a half, so after running some errands, I got myself a late lunch of the only healthy thing I could think of - a poke bowl. They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today. read more

Affordable and delicious! I gotta be honest, I was nervous about ordering raw fish in Indiana, but this was just as fresh as any standard poke place I've had elsewhere on the mainland. The servings are generous, I'm always satisfied after eating here. It's never been busy and the service is fast. I often order for pickup, which says it will take 20 min, but it's always ready in about 10. There's plenty of stool- counter seating if you want to dine in. Hawaii Poke - 2 Scoops Build Your Own Poke - Poke Near Me - Mishawaka, Indiana

I just moved to the area from Washington state and I was extremely excited to see a poke place in Indiana, but also nervous. Fish in Washington is extremely fresh and there are a lot of authentic Hawaiian poke places. So my comparison to this poke is coming from that. I ordered a 2 scoop bowl, and I was extremely impressed with the portion sizes and the price. I got a tuna & Kani bowl. There were a lot of toppings to choose from. The girl working at the counter was nice, but I was confused on the menu and she didn't offer a lot of help. I figured it out eventually. The restaurant itself was small, and had an interesting smell when I walked in, not bad, but just not what I was expecting. There were a lot of people ordering takeout and that was a good sign. When I got home, I tried my bowl. Overall, it was a good poke bowl. It did the trick for the craving I had! I would come back and try more of their fish and raw poke options. Admittedly a cute little ambiance with friendly and helpful staff, but I wasn't a fan of the food itself. The poke wasn't awful but it definitely didn't knock my socks off. The toppings were limited and there was a cap on how many you could get without an additional fee (in my opinion, based on every other poke place I've tried, there shouldn't be a cap on toppings). Ambiance: Nothing remarkable, except for some cute sayings on the wall. It's neat and clean, but seating is very limited. I don't know if it's a legacy of Covid, or just a focus on take away & delivery. Food & Drink: Food is good and the portion is generous. Our Boba was ok. Service: It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter, so we're not expecting or getting table service. Well, there are no tables. In any case we got our orders correctly and promptly, so that's good. Value: The custom Poke starts at $11 for one scoop, and that's good price even for Michiana area. You get two scoops for $14, which elevates the size and flavor for just $3 more. The boba milk tea is standard. Rating: Good price and generous portion warrant this place a 5 star. You're not leaving hungry. Everybody is feeling the inflation, so a place offering good value should be encouraged. read more

I LOVE this place! I love the accuracy in getting my order correct, every time. Honestly, only once did they mess up my order- i ordered mango and they put masago (understandable). I eat there on average once a week. I order this when I am working a 12 hour shift and get spicy mayo on the side so that I can have some for later, since I eat half for lunch and half for dinner. They never forget it, or the utensils. Love the balance of protein, veggies, rice and fruit and great selection of sauces and crunch. LOVE it so much. Omg! Amazing!!! I got 3 scoops: ahi tuna, salmon, spicy ahi tuna. Edamame, avocado, masago, mango, seaweed salad on top of spring mix and rice. With all the finishing options. Teriyaki, sesame and Japanese dressing. I'm from Chicago and this is top tier quality...Especially for the Mishawaka area and a steal for what you get! Every single component was perfection... Service was unprofessional when I came in. Disrespectful, horrible attitudes, and employees on phones. Not paying attention. Not to mention the place it's self seems run down. It had a smell to it. Good on the way to great! First time here, I did build your own bowl on kiosk. The kiosk made it very easy to see what your options were and to pick and choose. The gals behind the counter were friendly and quick. My only complaint was that a couple of my ingredients needed to be fresher. (Pineapple was brown in parts as was my avocado). Maybe something to keep an eye on. If I would have seen it in house, I would have asked for a different ingredient. It was still edible. My tuna was excellent !!! That is the winner for me.
