Came here for carryout. I really liked the salmon set, white tuna sashimi and dancing eel maki. Quality is better than yoyogi nearby but they don't have as many specials as sushi oishii. The love at first sigh maki roll had too much mayo for my taste but it wasn't bad and california roll is pretty good. The restaurant is pretty nice inside too and I would come back to dine in. read more

I came here recently with a friend during the weekend lunchtime and got 2 rolls (12 pieces each) for about $15 total. I thought it was a great deal for some good quality sushi. I understand that this place is a lot more expensive for dinner but if I can come for a solid sushi meal, I'd prefer to come for lunch to take advantage of the sweet deal. read more

This was an unassuming sushi spot in a strip mall, with pretty decent quality food. I had the chicken bento box - just got back from a trip to Tokyo, so standards were high. But, this box was not bad. The chicken was pretty tasty - a bit like Sarku chicken, but I don't judge (I actually quite like Sarku chicken, but I digress) - and the salad with the ginger sauce was pretty good too. FYI for peanut allergy folks, the California rolls have peanut oil in them, so watch out! My sense on the rolls in general were that they were totally fine - we did not get anything crazy (tempura potato, eel cucumber and yellowtail scallion) and they all seemed reasonably fresh, good enough for my weekday lunch. I'm happy this place is not too far from my house (good bento boxes are hard to come by) and look forward to another trip! read more

Today I came here and ordered on the phone the lobster maki, then went home and leave it on the fridge till it's time to break my fasting. Finally I opened the plastic bag and the container and was shock that it wasn't what I ordered , it was a California roll. Even thought I was upset , I have no choice but to eat it because I did not eat or drink for 14 hours straight due to our Muslim fasting . But worst , it taste awful. It taste like those sushi's that you see at grocery stores that's been there for days. Please double check before leaving the store because when go for pick up , its already wrapped in a plastic bag for you so what to me won't happen to you. read more

Yiku sushi is FANTASTIC! My husband and I order delivery from Yiku regularly and we also go to the restaurant in person. We've probably been about 5 times now and we have yet to try a roll we don't like! We are sushi regulars and this is definitely our new spot. My favorite specialty rolls are the TNT maki (so delish!) and the Green Dragon Maki. For regular rolls, we love the smoked salmon Philly roll, eel roll, spicy tuna roll and red snapper roll. The sushi here is pretty terrible. Since moving to the area I've tried a bunch of different sushi spots in the search for the best one and this one was pretty disappointing. I had a few rolls here, but the below are worth noting: Salmon roll: the salmon pieces were super fatty and pretty gross, for a lack of a better term. Tuna nigiri: the tuna just tasted watery and the texture was not of good quality tuna. The other rolls we tried were ok, but we were extremely unimpressed. I'm giving an extra star since they do have brown rice options and they gave us a free California roll (unnecessary, but nice gesture) with our take out order. This place is actually worth their hype and their high quality of reviews here on Yelp. I did a quick search on Yelp to find a sushi place to go to with my friend back from college and ended up choosing this location. Once I arrived, I was seated right away and was given their long, extensive menu. Despite all the options, we chose fairly quickly and ordered. Prices were pretty reasonable, about 5-12 dollars per roll depending if you got a simple one, or a specialty roll. However, the biggest surprise was when the food actually came out, the rolls were actually much bigger than I had anticipated, and they were packed with fish! I had the crazy salmon roll which had spicy tuna inside and salmon on the outside with avocado. My friend had some roll that was wrapped in some rice wrap, but was also pretty good. Lastly, at the end of our meal, they offered us a free dessert on the house which was some mango pudding, a small size, but pretty good as well. I would go here again. read more

The sushi is delicious and fresh, but I wouldn't put it high above others. What really stands out here (above other sushi and non-specific Japanese restaurants) is the ramen. They use a wide variety of fresh veggies and always bring out the spice seasonings without me having to ask. They were all presented well and had good quality fish especially for the price. The fish wasn't blow your mind amazing but it was very decent for the price I would come here often for their lunch specials. I find the fish to be fresh and the veggies / condiments to be high quality. I only give 4 stars cause I believe that they could use less rice and roll the sushi tighter. Yiku Sushi continues to create absolutely stellar Sushi. They continue to set a great example for professionalism and customer care in Sushi Restaurants. Recently they have created the most amazing Crab Wontons on their appetizer menu. My partner and I were very impressed. He does not even like crab and he actually had the majority of them. Their Smoked Salmon and Smoked Salmon Philadelphia roll Sushi is likely to impress any sushi or salmon lover. The Yiku Salad continues to be absolutely amazing. Still a favorite. Went here on a Sunday afternoon because we were craving ramen. Saw their lunch sushi combo deals and was pretty impressed by the price so we decided to try the sushi as well. The sushi was incredible! Big portions and the fish seem fresh. We ordered the beef ramen soup and the shrimp tempura ramen and it was..disappointing. Service sucked, food sucked. My friend ordered a mackerel ginger roll. He took one bite and was disgusted. When I told the waitresss she was like "uh sorry you wanted that, you have to pay for it", and then literally ran away because she didn't want to deal with it. ANY restaurant I have ever been in would fix the situation, not run from it. I've never been told I had to pay for something that I didn't like or at least wasn't offered something else. I've worked in the service industry and I can just say, that was extremely poor behavior from the server (woman with short dark red hair) and for management for not doing something about it. I know she ran to the back and said something to others about it but nobody came to rectify the situation. I will NEVER come back and will tell everyone I know to stay away from there. read more

The cuts are perfect here and so the tako is tender, not chewy. 1 order of sashmi is three generous pieces and so thats perfect for me. Good sushi! Got the 'love at first sight' special roll which came in this unique tear drop/heart shape and was really good! The Cali rolls were good, the spicy tuna was one of the better ones I've had compared to other places, the salmon avocado rolls were good (big pieces of salmon and avocado), and we got the spicy crunchy scallop hand roll which was pretty good too! The Gyoza dumplings were ok. It was very nice they gave coconut pudding on the house and got these tasty guava candies. The Thai tea was excellent!! We ordered California rolls and received raw salmon. They wouldn't pick up our call and when we came back to the restaurant, they wouldn't open the door for us. Eventually they picked up and came outside the restaurant. They tried to tell us the spicy crab roll was California rolls but we knew we were right.
