Went here a few weeks ago and ordered the milk tea with boba and taro slush with boba. Unfortunately mine came out without boba but I wasn't charged for it and took it as a sign from the universe that I didn't need it since we went here while we were waiting for our table at HiroNori. Just make sure to either check your order on the screen or check your receipt to make sure your order is correct. Both were really good and we would have gone back for another round of drinks after but we were so full after dinner. Will definitely make another pit stop if we're in the area. read more

Cannot believe all the 5 star reviews for this boba shop. Boba is flavorless, the teas taste very artificial and powdery, music comes from a small little speaker on the side of the room, the light bulbs are dead. Can't believe they just opened their boba store a couple weeks ago but look like it's been abandoned for months. The workers are a real charm and was the only reason I decided to stay and try the drinks. Besides that I won't be back. The taro milk tea is so gross and leaves a weird after taste almost like butter milk? Also they put 3 seals on my drink. How am I supposed to puncture my straw into 3 seals??? Not only that, the seal wasn't even fully on the lid and spilled all over my car... very disappointing to lose my money on this disgusting powdery drink and now I need a car wash too.. read more

I was very excited to try this place as it was near my area and rated very highly but was met with disappointment. I ordered a strawberry milk tea and received what tasted like nesquick. While one might argue what can you expect it's a strawberry milk tea, I have tried other places that genuinely tasted good. My friend ordered a rose milk tea and that also tasted like straight up milk and perfume. I love to support small businesses but I'm pretty let down with the quality of these drinks. Meet the Business Owner: Annie M.

Hi my name is Annie and I am the co-owner of Yin Yang Tea! I’m often asked why I opened a boba shop. Here is my boba love story. Growing up my parents never expressed how much they loved me or how proud they were of me. Like many Asian parents, my parents showed their love and affection through food instead. For me it was through boba. As a child, they got me boba for getting good grades or to cheer me up when I was sad. This was their silent but heartfelt way of saying “I’m proud of you” or “I love you.” I now know love can be found in small, everyday moments and sometimes words are unnecessary when actions speak so clearly from the heart. Boba to me is a reminder of the profound love my parents always had for me. Now when I see other parents getting boba with their kids, it brings me back to why I opened Yin Yang Tea in the first place. I hope to provide a space where everyone can share the same joy and affection with their loved ones over a cup of boba.

I don't usually write reviews, but this place is a hard pass. When I walked in, the girl at the counter didn't even acknowledge me. No "hi," no greeting--just a blank stare like I was bothering her. I ordered a classic milk tea with boba, and somehow they managed to mess that up. It tasted like cheap powder mix, and the boba was stale and hard, like it had been sitting out all day. How do you ruin something so basic? To top it off, there was zero customer service. She handed me the drink without a word and disappeared into the back room. I do agree that mixing the matcha/stirring it before pouring may have helped with the concentration of the matcha since it was already pre-made in a container. I highly suggest training employees to kindly explain procedures and protocols for recipes to customers in the future when the situation arises. Not all customers will react positively when being educated, but personally for me I like to learn about businesses and the situation I was in was a good opportunity to have that happen in person. I can confirm they gave me a full refund on the drink. I'll consider coming back and trying other drinks.

Staff was friendly and patient answering my questions. I always like to see if boba shops have unique drinks that stores typically don't have and if not, usually go with the original milk tea. But the Magnolia tea caught my eye. I got the magnolia milk tea and the boba was fresh, soft, but with the right perfect amount of chew! The staff did tell me it's "very floral" and I was a bit worried because I'm not a big fan of floral drink, but honestly, it wasn't that floral. There was a pretty subtle hint of floral-ness, but I can't make the distinction of the "magnolia" flavor. It's similar to maybe camelia? The boba and tea definitely were more prominent. I appreciated that I can taste a stronger tea flavor though. Service was really fast! They are well staffed. I didn't get to do what I came for, but at least the drink did not disappoint! I would come back to try other drinks!

Every drink I've tried has been overly sweet, even when I specifically ask for reduced sweetness. The sweetness tends to overpower the coffee, making it difficult to appreciate the actual flavor of the drink. The prices are also fairly high, and for what you pay, I expected a better balance of flavors. I don't mind paying more for a great cup of coffee, but the drinks I've had haven't justified the cost.

I didn't taste a hint of horchata at all. I mixed it and it still tasted like pure cinnamon. My little sister really enjoyed her ice hot chocolate, though. I do want to come back and try their matcha, though. I heard a lot of mixed reviews about their matcha. This entire weekend I tried new matcha spots and I was disappointed by all of them, unfortunately. The cafe is extremely cute. I really enjoy their theming and how they decorated for the World Cup! The small lemon tart was interesting, I think the lemon tasted different than I expected but I did appreciate the crunch factor layered on top. The mochi scones they serve are actually so good! Scones are usually brittle, but this mochi scone they have is really delicious, you can taste the strawberry in every bite and it doesn't taste artificial! The mochi is so good and they warm it for you and it's just soft, fluffy and melty, I would honestly come back to buy a few of these. I also ate it the next day and after microwaving it for a few seconds, it was just as fresh as the day before! I also ordered the mango panna cotta which was awesome, it's higher in price but they give you a huge portion of the dessert! There was plenty of panna cotta and the layer of mango jello that sits on top in combination with the plentiful, super big, juicy mangos topping, this dessert was a winner in my book! Service was friendly and fast, and the shop is clean and cute. Definitely one of the better boba spots in the area -- I'll be coming back!
