Our waiter didn't give good service ether. He barely checked in on us and was ignoring almost all of his section. This place looks nice, but the food portions were horrific considering the high price. The baked potatoes were small served with only a side of sour cream. The corn portion was about 2 whopping tablespoons and I'm pretty sure it was canned. The chicken was dry and very little. The beans weren't served with my dish as it stated in the menu and when I informed the lady that I never received my beans she stated "only one side of beans is given per table" I was in awe! They finally took $5 off the ticket for not bringing the beans, but I had to defend myself. This place has so much potential if they would only put in some effort. read more

This was our first time at Yippee-ei-o! I was expecting bad service or really bad food. something to justify the two star rating. However we found nothing to justify it. I got "The Rancher" a T-Bone stake dinner with baked potato, half corn cob, salad on the side. Biscuits and cornbread with honey and butter. My son got the half rack of ribs and it was a good portion, baked potato and half corn cob. If you drink beer there is a bar and a verity of brand name beer. The atmosphere is like an old time stake house benches and tables (there are no booths) close quarters with other costumers. Service was nice not bad, seemed like they had to warm up to you first but it was good service. staff also speaks Spanish and English. read more

My chicken was very very small and so was the potato. My daughter's spaghetti had no flavor at all. As someone with 5+ years in the restaurant industry in a tourist town I completely understand how things should go and I am blown away at how awful this was. Walked in at 8:30pm and was told they closed at 9pm even though online says 10pm. Quickly ordered our drinks and food to try and be in and out quickly. I had the Ranch House Lemon Aid and it tastes like pure vodka, I drank one sip. The price on the menu said $9 and we were charged $15. They brought out ice cold corn bread with the salad. The steaks were tough and had no flavor. The menu said sirloins and they were not. The corn was bland and lukewarm. You had to ask for toppings for the baked potatoes and the butter packs were melted as they had been on the table all day. The only thing we had worth eating were the beans. When we got our check I was confused by the total so asked the cashier to explain it and she informed me my drink was $15 and we had two beers. I told her it was the worst drink and I had one sip of it. She turned and said okay your total is $118 without offering any discount or anything. After leaving I pulled the menu back up to see we were extremely overcharged. Our meal should've been around $95 but instead it was $118 and they would not offer any explanation our answer our questions. The staff members were extremely rude and you could tell we were being rushed out. Based on others reviews they automatically add 15% gratuity to all bills. Had a 12oz sirloin, a little under cooked but okay. Flavorless, no seasoning on the steak. Steak sauce didn't really help. I like a simple seasoned steak and no steak sauce, but here, something is needed. Corn, mushy, probably sitting in hot water for hours. Baked potato, hard screw up but they did. Old and brown on the inside. The beans have very little flavor, guessing straight out of a can. The salad was simple, right out of a bag. My wife had the shish kabob which most of the flavor seemed to come from the bell pepper and onion it was cooked with. She did have the apple pie for dessert, best part of the meal. When you make your money from tourists, I guess it's easy to stay in business with bad food and servers with next to no personality. Because of sketchy Internet/WiFi connection in the area, I too could not read the reviews before we got there. We entered into the restaurant and were not greeted and no signs said to seat yourself so we just stood there waiting for direction. None came. Two women made eye contact from across the room and still nothing. So we made our way to a table. About 3 minutes later, one of the women came up to take our drink order. The meal was lackluster but decent. My one good point is that the steaks were cooked perfectly, not too done and not too pink. However, for the price, I would have expected a better grade of steak. We noted on the menu in very minute fine print that they automatically add 15% for tip on All orders, not just large groups. With the poor servers we had, I guess that's the only way they do get tips because I would not have left that much. I normally tip around 20% unless it's poor, unhappy service like this. Left to my own decision, I probably would have left around 8-10%. After a beautiful day in the Canyon, this put a spoiler on it. Next time we'll wait and go to Williams or Flagstaff. read more

($33 on the menu) Once we ordered, the staff became unfriendly and almost rude. When the meal came we asked if cornbread was included.
