We arrived early afternoon after visiting the Grand Canyon. We were greeted with a smile and cold drinks. The appetizers were great. The decor is interesting.

    The restaurant.

You'll regret your decision. Barely ok. Would have rather went to McD's. Food was ok at best. Environment odd. Meh.

Bad service. The food is terrible. They include the tips in your bill without asking and they don't take AMEX. Do not recommend.

I had a ribeye steak that came with roasted potatoes and sweet carrots mixed with mini green beans and I had a house salad with homemade prickly pear dressing. The hostess recognized our celebration request and said she would tell the waiter but the waiter said and did nothing. So kind of lame there. It's 120 years old and that's probably the main reason to go. The food was just ok. We got their famous French onion soup which was good but probably not worth $12 if in town. We decided to Elk out and get our fill while in the area. The Elk Milanese was like a chicken fried elk steak and pretty good. The Elk Bolognese was just like spaghetti with ground beef. Also good after a long day. FYI - Elk is kinda like lean beef. They had a dedicated water and bread person which was nice. Waiter was super slow though. But also nice. Deserts are displayed as you walk in. They are Actual size too and small so not really shareable. When I said "this isn't the real size right" the hostess said of course it is. At $12 and up it's pricey so we passed. If you're staying at a property in the village bring a flashlight or phone light because it's dark. Blue line Shuttle bus runs until 9:30 pm. Parking is more available everywhere the later it gets in the day.

It was not my idea to come here my sweet niece was the one who wanted steak and well who am I to tell her no?! We walked into the steakhouse side only to stand there another couple walked in and we were all quickly ushered out by a host, to go sit in the bar area... the host then tried to seat the couple who came in after first which wouldn't have been a huge deal if I didn't have a kid who was starving. Thankfully the other party told him we had been waiting. We were sat at a high top in the bar, and waited.. the bar tender came around and let us know she'd be our waitress, the main waitress was very busy. There was also a man who worked there that kept walking by looking at us. Not sure if we weren't fancy enough or he thought we were going to eat and run or what.. to be fair we were in jeans and a sweatshirt and had just come from the canyon.. I will say the reason we stayed (besides being hungry) was our waitress. She made us feel welcome, and despite being busy checked in regularly. I asked about the filet she said it was truly really good... and my niece got the steak tips. We both enjoyed the dinner... the filet was tender, cooked to a perfect medium... could have used a little more seasoning but still good. The baked potatoes had everything to stuff it with on the side... and the asparagus was delicious and cooked perfectly. Do I think it was 56 good mehhhh but it was still tasty. I had to taste the steak bites and that was delicious too! Fries however were over cooked. Like I said, the bar tender/ waitress came back and checked on us several times - she was great which is why this is a 4 star review not a 3 star. Her kindness is why I am overlooking the other issues we had.

I don't usually do Wendy's, but this was exactly the kind of situation it's built for. Order, wait a few minutes, feed everyone, restore order to the group. Inside was what you'd expect. Nothing remarkable, nothing off-putting. It was reasonably clean, the line moved, and the staff kept things moving without any issues. Food came out right, no mix-ups, which is really all you can ask for when you've got a small crowd and zero patience left. The food itself was standard. It did the job. Nobody's talking about it afterward, but nobody's complaining either. The kids were happy, which was the whole point. Three stars feels right. It's not a destination, but in the moment, it delivered exactly what we needed and got us back on the road.

My daughter and I had just left the McDonald's across the street, and she was disappointed there because she could not find any food items on their menu that were gluten free. After arriving at this Wendy's, we found the landscaping to be beautiful, clean, and well kept. The entrance was inviting as well. After entering this location, we glanced through their menu on one of their kiosks and my daughter was happy to find a few options available for her. She ordered a large Parmesan Caesar salad with chicken, a baked potato and a caramel vanilla frosty. I ordered a junior cheeseburger meal deal with a junior cheeseburger, junior fries, 4-piece chicken nuggets, and a Dr. Pepper. I looked around in the dining area while I waited for our order. The inside was well decorated and extremely clean, and the windows allowed for a pleasant amount of natural light inside. The menus above the cashiers were nicely displayed for customers that would prefer to order without the kiosk. All the employees here appeared to be working efficiently and professionally. Our order was ready in just a few minutes. We decided to dine inside, and I'm glad we did because of how pleasant the dining area was. There were only a small number of customers inside while we were here so the ambient noise in the dining area was low for my daughter and I to have a nice conversation while we ate. Most importantly, our meals were delicious. If you're in the area and ready for a meal, Wendy's is economical with lots of great options. It's also nice to see that they have gluten-free options for folks who require that.

My wife went with the Nathan's hot dog loaded up with chili, cheese, and onions. Honestly, that was the safe play and it paid off. The hot dog was good. Solid. Dependable. It did not try to reinvent the wheel or elevate the hot dog experience. It just showed up, did its job, and moved on with its life. Respect. I decided to get adventurous with the Native Taco. And by adventurous, I mean I ordered something that is basically chili, cheese, onions, lettuce, and salsa sitting on what I can only describe as pizza dough. So imagine a taco. Now imagine a slice of pizza. Now combine them and remove most of the seasoning. That's the experience. It's actually an interesting concept. I'll give them that. Taco pizza energy. But everything kind of blended together into one unified note of... fine. Not bad. Not offensive. Just polite. It felt like all the ingredients had a meeting beforehand and agreed not to outshine each other. The hot chocolate was good though. No sarcasm there. It hit the spot, especially with that canyon air reminding you you're not at sea level anymore. All in all, it's three stars. You're at the Grand Canyon. You're not here for culinary fireworks. You're here for one of the greatest natural wonders on earth. The food is there to keep you upright and moving toward the rim. Mission accomplished.
