It already gives a great first impression. Service is quick and the restaurant is very clean. The chips and salsa are the usual for what you expect with warm chips and refreshing salsa. The Pollo Al Pastor is a good size with amazing pineapple pico de gallo and nicely marinated chicken. You get only three tortillas so you mostly eat the dish with fork and knife after making tacos.

(Richard Thompson) No doubt, our always perceptive Yelpers have figured out the link between Condesa and the lyrics - Condesa = Contessa in Spanish. Condesa has four locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The Sturbridge location is on the extreme left side of a big shopping plaza -look for the Shaw's Market and Ocean State Job Lot. The first thing you'll notice when you walk inside is the Día de (los) Muertos (Day of the Dead) artwork pretty much everywhere on the walls. They have two indoor dining rooms and a covered outdoors dining area, where we had our lunch on a beautiful summer day. Our server Moises was polite and friendly and started us off with a big portion of complimentary ships and salsa. The chips were fresh and still warm and the mildly spiced salsa was excellent. Our lunch was a TACO SALAD ($14) described on the menu as "Grilled chicken, mixed greens, fire roasted corn, Pico de Gallo, cilantro vinaigrette, queso fresco, and tortilla strips". It was served in one of those ubiquitous fried tortilla shells which I would have declined had I known it. I passed on the vinaigrette in favor of that great salsa for my dressing, and declined the queso, and tortilla strips. The grilled chicken was absolutely fantastic. It was pounded so thin, it had ended up being about the same size as the bowl it was served in. And whatever they used to season it was wonderful! Under that blanket of chicken were fresh greens, and a few sprinkles of corn and Pico. Adding their salsa as a dressing made it a winner of a meal. My wife ordered their CHICKEN QUESADILLA ($14). The four big wedges had a generous portion of grilled chicken and cheese, topped with sour cream, queso fresco, and Pico de Gallo. I sampled a forkful and loved the flavor and noticed a pretty generous layer of cheese in with the chicken. My club soda with two lemon wedges was $3. Service from Moises was OK, he was super pleasant when we interacted with us and when we asked for a water and salsa refill. All in all, our $33 after tax-before tip lunch was perfectly fine.

Quite a find on our way back from CNY holiday. Tired and hungry we stumbled across this little…read moretreasure in a strip mall behind where we were getting gas. The place is huge, on point cultural music (albeit loud- I'm old I like quieter) and the queer o meter is a perfect 10. Most excellent. The complimentary chips n salad were delicious. Thin, warm and lightly salted with just enough heat to the salsa and nice flavor. The rest is pretty straightforward- a chicken quesadilla that was jammed with cheese. It oozed out of the sides. And a steak fajita - both were very very good. The fajita had a great flavor, hot and piled high with peppers and onions. The steak slices were tender and delicious too - I will put out there that might be the only "con" it, in my opinion, could've done with 3 or 4 more slices of steak. However there is an epic amount of the peppers and onion which I 100% appreciate. Our waitress was so friendly and top notch. Accommodating and available without hovering. Food was delicious, service wonderful and atmosphere comfortable (sans loud music ha ha) The prices seem to be higher than other Mexican places - ie. The fajita was $21 and usually I'd venture to say that's the shrimp or combo cost, not steak or chicken. So overall they are about $3 higher. In the end I was fine with that bc it's really good and I would go back! Thank you El Patron Corona!! Cheers!

At first I almost missed it - it isn't a separate cafe, it's literally just a counter in a gas station store. So I didn't expect much from such a setting. But i was caught off guard- these must be some of the best tacos I've had in the Boston area. The chicken is tender and juicy and full of flavor, pico and onions are fresh, and they are generously stuffed. Somehow they even made the pinto beans incredible. So much better than the 1 bite tacos commonly found in the city. So glad I finally stopped by. 3 tacos - $16.50 (tax/auto tip? Included)

All the ingredients are fresh and you get a choice between corn or flour tortillas for your tacos. $12 for 3 tacos. That's a good deal. The meats are so flavorful and the toppings are more in line with authentic Mexican. I didn't see sour cream or cheese. It's more like pico and cilantro and hot sauces. Seating is limited but you and find two tables around the back to sit outside. The Service was great but it's kind of funny to be asking for tacos while people are in line to fill up their gas tanks. A hidden gem for sure.
