A few years ago I remember the building got a facelift. It's good yogurt but the price has gone up during this recession. I have not been their in months but I still like their raspberry. We have been loyal YM for at least 20 years. It is by far the best froyo in Modesto. Lots of flavor choices as well as multiple toppings to choose from including many yummy fresh fruits. The store is always clean and festive and the staff are some of the friendliest, courteous young people we've encountered in similar establishments. Best yogurt in the world !!!! But since the new 16oz açaí bowls came out it seems like they are not putting the correct and decent amount of toppings it has happen to me multiple times I get 24oz it's not filled up to the top there's berly any granola or peanut butter I ask for extra peanut butter and granola it never happens ! $9.95 for a cup of açaí with berly any toppings not worth it ! Having worked in a yo shop myself back in the day, I totally understand where these kids are getting frustrated. Never ending crowds and little help make for a stressful environment. I try to be as patient and polite as I can with them. A little wait doesn't bother me at all, what bothers me is wrong orders. I wouldn't call myself a "regular" but I usually go once a week. I love their yogurt. There are only a handful of flavors that aren't so great. HOWEVER, too many times now, they have gotten my order wrong. I usually grab it to go and take home, stick it in the freezer, and eat it after my kids are in bed. I usually don't think I should have to check and make sure it's right. Several times this year it has been wrong. Usually if I contact them, they are on the ball and apologize and offer me a freebie next visit. The other night, I ordered Cherry something or other, ended up with Choc/Van swirl. I wrote to them on Facebook, someone got back to me quickly and said they would forward to the owners. They have not gotten back to me. This was Tuesday, it's Saturday. Hey, I'm not in it for free stuff, just want some acknowledgement that they are sorry for the screw up. I feel like customer service is that last thing that makes the little guy feel special. We work hard for our money, and we just want to trade that money in for correct orders. You know what I mean? Wrong pizza, wrong yogurt, bones in my kids nuggets, glass in my McFrappe? When does it end? I supposed it's just a sign to stop giving my money to others. read more

Honestly the best frozen yogurt in town. Great flavors. Great involvement in the community. And the worst service. If the girl who helped me cracked one smile or anything remotely friendly, I would give 5 stars. I'm sure these girls are wonderful outside of work, but they just seem so stressed. The yogurt machines were low, cookies and cream wasn't working so I had to change my flavor, the toppings were a mess, and the employees looked overwhelmed and in need of extra help. I understand it's very busy during these warm summer nights, but a smile goes a long way from a customer perspective. I love YM and always vote it as my dessert choice but the service needs some work. read more

First off I'm not a big yelp person, I just feel I needed to share this little incident. Let me start by saying I love yogurt mill I think its one of the best frozen treat places in town, but my last couple visits I did run into some issues. usually all of the ladies that work there are very polite and fast paced but theres one girl I have ran into lately that just doesn't live up to the ym standards in my opinion. I used to love going here and the yogurt was worth the wait. I always get a frio and they are delicious, if made correctly. They raised the price twice in one year and I still visited weekly for my favorite blended drink. These last few months I've had 30% of my drinks not taste like watered down milk. When you are using a flavor powder and all you can taste is milk, that's a problem. The last and final time I went there I got attitude and eye rolls from the girl I asked to make my drink again. I wish your employees were friendly and more consistent. It sucks to pay $6 for a drink that tastes like they don't even care. I doubt I'll be back. read more

Last time I came here about 3-4 cars who came after me got their order prior to mines. Even after I paid, the cashier guy was just taking his time making orders the entire time instead of just giving me mines, so I could just move it along. And yea, my Froyo was kinda melted from sitting there, to top it off he forgot to add our toppings although we paid for them, worst experience, horrible customer service. I have always been a fan of Yogurt MIll. I only wish the flavors would be on the menu for a longer duration of time. My only complaint is with a male employee who constantly stares at the female customers. Each time I go in I get a creepy vibe because he is always staring at my friends and I when we go in. He was there again last night talking with some of the younger female customers. I'm not sure of the young mans name but he is Caucasian with glasses and slender. Thank god for the two drive-thru windows....... at least I have a 50/50 chance of not feeling awkward every time I want some yogurt. oh well..... The service was overall good, I went through the 2nd drive through yesterday 6.26.17 and the girl working the window was inattentive, slow, and overall rude. My order was wrong and she had snide looks on her face the entire time we were face to face. Yogurt Mill has great food, but should work on the attitudes of their employees. read more

This place has two drive thru's and at least 5 girls that work inside, extremely SLOW. I will never come back. Every time I have come to this place it's because I crave yogurt and want something on the go, never fails to sit waiting for 15 min in the drive thru. Went to the Oakdale Rd. Yogurt Mill last night and had a horribly gross experience. I ordered yogurt and cheese cake bits as a "layered"topping. Watching the girl add the toppings I noticed her using her thumb nail to free the sticky topping from the plastic spoon. This process happened three separate times. Once she finished and went to prepare another order for my family, I asked to see the store manager so I could complain. The young female manager told me that I should have told the young lady to "stop" using her fingers to remove the cheese cake squares. The manager said that the young lady was a new hire and did not know any better. The manager was irritated and said that she would personally remake the desert, but that if this "finger nail" offense occurs again...... I should say something to food preparer sooner. I don't think any customer should have to tell a person whom is serving food to wear gloves, or use another utensil to take the sticky cheese cake square off the spoon to put in cup! My whole family absolutely loves Yogurt Mill. During the summer we will hit the drive thru at least a couple times a week and it is usually our go-to for an after dinner treat in any season. Unfortunately this location has given us the wrong order almost every time, whether it be missing toppings, or flavors we didn't ask for. The yogurt is also always dripping down quite a bit from under the lid and we have arrived home a few times with a yogurt soaked to-go bag. I also haven't had the best experience with some of the younger girls working the drive thru window, who will argue with you that they charged you right, and then not apologize upon realizing they charged you twice. All in all, great quality yogurt but not the best service. We now frequent the Roseburg location and they are great. read more

We always are on the look out for new places and with my parents living in Modesto we checked this place out on Friday. First and foremost let me say this is hands down the best frozen yogurt place that I have ever been too. We will be coming back. You want to know the secret behind keeping your business thriving. Its in the people. The place is clean and all the good things you look for and the food is special. But it is the people the set this place apart. The women that helped us was knowledgeable but she actually cared. Its the little things that separate and you can not teach that. Your people have to want to go that extra inch for your business. I was so impressed I asked questions because by how amazing they were I assumed they were some huge company....nope. Owner take care of your people and they will take care of your customers. Lose sight on that and you will lose sight on what this is all about which is delivering experiences. The business delivered an experience that we will never forget, thank you. read more

I usually have great experiences when I go to this location, but I usually go through the drive thru because I require to have a service animal. Yesterday my grandma needed to use the restroom, so we decided to go inside this time. But I was told I couldn't have my dog inside. Even though I told them my dog was a service animal they didn't accept because I didn't have vision problems. They ask me questions like if I had proof from my doctor. I've known that by law if they know my animal is a service animal they can't ask me questions like they did, such as a doctors note. I'm not even required to carry my doctor's note on me. You don't have to be just blind to require a service animal. I was so appalled the way I was treated. I have never been questioned the way I was. I felt ashamed of my disability and wanted to run and hide. I have been everywhere with my service dog and never felt unwanted or questioned the way I was at this location. I really liked going to this location because they are convenient and have friendly service. Unfortunately after yesterday I will never go to this Yogurt Mill location again. If you require a service animal go through the drive through or go to another place such as cold stone or yogurtland;I have never had issues at either of these locations. read more

We have been customers forever, going almost everyday. Two days ago they forgot to put nuts in the bag that were paid for. Obviously did not discover until we arrived home. Went back yesterday and while ordering mentioned it to the girl that took order. She turned into the snottiest, rudest person we have ever encountered there. She asked if we called back and told them about the forgotten nuts. When we said no, she very obnoxiously and curtly said, well, there is nothing I can do for you if you don't call back. Like this was our fault for not doing the right thing! Funny thing is, there is no policy that says hey if we screw up please call us to tell us right away or we can not help you later. The girl was so rude and snotty that the Yogurt Mill just lost a customer that had been spending a couple hundred dollars there every month for years. Good luck! We won't be back. read more

The new location was not impressive. It was too crowded and the topping bar is not functional. Most of the toppings were empty and if you know what topping you want but need to wait in line for others by time you get to pay your yogurt is melted. It would work better if the topping bar was on an island so there is more then one way to reach it and away from the register. So one can pay easy if they just want yogurt and not stand in a long line. read more

On more than one occasion I've gotten subpar customer service after waiting in a 15 minute long line, I've gotten my order made wrong, no lid when asked for a lid and no whipped cream when asked for whipped cream. Obviously that's not a huge deal in itself, but when it happens often, there's a problem. One event in particular inspired this review. I recently went through the drive through, 2 people ahead of me. After 10 minutes I get up to the window, they take my money and I sit there for another 10 minutes with no communication whatsoever. All I ordered was a small chai chip blended drink. I attempt to make eye contact through the window but no response. Finally they shove my drink through the window hurriedly with no "sorry for the wait" or smile. I pull out and take a sip only to be met with the most disgusting taste I've ever had in my mouth. My drink tasted nothing like it should, it was watery and tasted like a was drinking chunky watered down tea. I glanced behind me to see a line of 8 cars and decided against going back to get my drink fixed. All in all a waste of my money and time. Maybe other locations have friendlier customer service and are competent overall with their orders. read more
