My first experience with frozen yoghurt and it was great! It's a small space that obviously works judging by the steady stream of people through the door. You can grab some small sample cups to try out the flavours before you choose and then it's as simple as grabbing a cup and filling it with whatever you decide. I chose the birthday cake flavour and the hibiscus pear which were great! After you've chosen your flavours, you move onto the toppings...of which there is a lot! And don't forget the sauces. It's like 48cents an ounce and it's pretty easy to get carried away. Go check it out! read more

This is a smaller yogurt shop, so considering it is in the downtown area, it would definitely be more convenient if they found a larger location. Some nights there are no seats for families who would like to sit and eat their frozen yogurt in the shop. The fruit is supposed to be fresh, but you can tell it has been frozen, the strawberries are frozen and inedible. It is definitely not cheap to eat at these yogurt shops so when you pay by the ounce you shouldn't have to pay for inedible frozen strawberries. Otherwise my kids love coming here and it is the closest shop near us so I'm sure we will come back. Hopefully the fruit won't be frozen next time? I guess we will see. read more

GD, it. I usually tend toward more savory than sweet, but for the last few months, I've been craving yogurtland. Fellow yelper Kat A introduced me, assuring me that it was delightful. And darn it, she was right. You can try the flavors first. The two sizes (large and extra large) are big enough for you to experiment. Try the swirls! If the two flavors you want aren't next to each other, your bowl is big enough to get both. I usually get four flavors. Top it with some fruit, maybe some condensed milk, nuts, and mochi. When you go, get a loyalty card. You'll be glad you did. Minus a star for lack of seating. There's not really much they can do about it, but dang. There is one large table (big enough for 4) and three small tables (2-3 ppl) and this place is PACKED every single time I go. I much prefer this spot over Pinkberry for several reasons. It's much closer to my home, I don't have to drive on Colorado Blvd to get here, you serve yourself, and it's much faster to go from entering the door to sitting and eating. I got on board the frozen yogurt train when I lived in California. (I'd argue that it was impossible not to do so considering how many places there are serving up this treat.) And so I was pretty excited to see so many new shops that had opened up in Denver while I was gone because before I left I think there might have been one... Anyway, Yogurtland has been one of my favorites because of a few reasons. 1) They serve both tart and non-tart flavors. And 2) They sell by weight so you can get as much yogurt as you want and then you are in control of the toppings. I personally love going with something like the strawberry flavor and topping it with lots of fresh fruit and a smattering of Cap'n Crunch (for the texture and because kid's cereal is a guilty pleasure.) This store is so close to me that I can also usually ride my bike down there which takes away some of the yogurt-eating guilt in my mind. It's like I've earned myself the treat of being there. The lines can get ridiculous, especially now that it's summertime and extremely warm, but they aren't always so and the people working there tend to be friendly and efficient. The only thing they really need is more outdoor seating because right now I don't think they have any for themselves and everyone starts to take over the neighboring business' tables to soak up the sun and eat the sweet, cold treats. read more

Originally I would have given Yogurtland 5 stars. Originally, I liked it so much that I had been twice in 1 week. The store is clean and cute, their product is tasty, the selection of both yogurts and toppings is large and I love the self serve concept and the fact that (at 30 cents/ounce) it's almost half the price of Pinkberry for nearly the same portion. Plus it's walking distance from my place, so why did it get knocked down to 3 stars? Well here's why: I looked up the calories for my peanut butter yogurt with strawberries and coconut that I had last night and I was disappointed to see that all of their non-tart yogurts contain high fructose corn syrup. While I'm not fooling myself into thinking frozen yogurt is super healthy, it is supposed to be a healthier option and HFCS has no business in the product. Again, their tart yogurts do not have HFCS as an ingredient, and I had that the first time I went and it was very tasty, so I will be back to indulge in that from time to time. read more

Nomnomnomnom, I love Froyo, I love Froyo!! I'm always on the hunt for a variety of flavors and I have been happy to say that I have tried several places in the Denver area. I have concluded that THIS IS THE BEST ONE. They have a variety of flavors. Moreso than Maiberry, Lollicup, and that one REALLY popular place. I tried most of them and was happy to report all the fruit ones are delicious. I'm not really a fan of cake- flavored or chocolate yogurt- it tastes too rich and I believe the fruit ones taste best because of their light taste. So, for my dinner last night, Hans O and I went to Yogurtland. He got the Toasted Coconut (you would love this if you are a coconut fan). I tried: Peach, Dragonfruit, Blueberry, Mango, and Plain. Yes, I went back for seconds. And yes, and put cheesecake, cookie bites, and mochi on as toppings. Fat kid much? The prices are unbelieveable. I filled up half the cup which would normally be about $4-5 at other places and only paid $2. Hence the seconds. If you go around dinnertime there's no wait. I've walked past this place so many times and seen hundreds of thousands (ok, slight exaggeration possibility here) of people sitting outside this place on warm, sunny days and even some cold spring and fall days, and I've always thought...Is Cosmo's really that good? It turns out, if you spend less than $3.50 for your weight in frozen yogurt along with oodles of toppings, you're not trying very hard. If you spend between $6 and $7, you're an expert at gorging and putting every kind of topping on your already weighty frozen yogurt. If you're normal, you're probably somewhere in between. This self-serve frozen yogurt joint has got a good selection of flavors that seem to change frequently and crazy amounts of toppings to put on said frozen yogurt. Yogurt flavors range from fruit to chocolate to exotic kiwi lime pie (OK, I made that up as a play on words) and toppings range from strawberry boba to butterfinger bits to nuts to your standard run of the mill chocolate and marshmallow. It's a Willie Wonka fan's dream, a parent's expense account and a teenager with acne problem's nightmare. The service is almost always crazy quick considering the long lines out the door, and the prices seem reasonable at the time until you realize you could have bought fifteen Ben & Jerry's frozen yogurts from the grocery store for the same price. There isn't much seating inside, hence the packed tables outside being shared by Yogurtland, Cosmo's and Mo's Bagel's. So freakin good! read more

I'll admit I still have a soft spot in my heart for their classic yogurt, but once Yogurtland followed on their coattails, my allegiance switched faster than a Frey's. The first thing you should do is get some sample cups. Grab three or four, don't be shy. Then hit the yogurt line and sample whatever looks tasty. A lot of the flavors come and go so you're only doing yourself a disservice by committing to the first taste to you take. Next, begin filling your cup with any yogurt(s) of your choosing. A little, a lot, whatever, go nuts. Finally, hit up the toppings and oh my god there are so many. Deep breaths. Don't be afraid. Listen to your heart. You got this. Finally, lay your bounty before the cashier and be dazzled as your confectionery mountain totals out to a few measly bucks. Pay and escape before they realize how criminally undercharged your meal is and demand you clean dishes in the back to make up the difference. Consume. Flavorful, flexible, and frugal froyo. For the record, these Yogurt places are not everywhere. I moved here from the East Coast and let me say they are not there like they are here. With that said I am in love with all the frozen yogurt places I have been to thus far and have another 10 bookmarked for visits. This place is no exception. Great amount of flavors, and I love the fact that you can test them ALL if you want to. Lots of tart and lots of sweet flavors as well. I myself am more of a tart gal so I made a mix of blueberry, mango, and peach tart flavors topped with fresh mango and kiwi. Also amazing that they have a great variety of fruit, chocolate, and anything else you can imagine. Total bonus that they let you pay by the ounce so you can get as much or as little as you want. When I create my frozen Yogurt combinations, I turn into a nine year old. I get to choose captain crunch, brownies, toffee, coconut shavings and Reese's. My treat turns into a tasty dream. Hate: As the temperature rises so does the popularity of Yogurtland. There are crowds and lines. When there are so many options in a do it yourself environment it makes the wait time long. By the time you get to the flavors you want, the chances of there being any left are slim. Recently, as it stays warmer longer, flavors run out sooner. Serious science correlation. I do not understand all these great reviews. I went here tonight with my husband. It is a Thursday. We showed up and it wasn't busy - only two other customers when we walked in. We picked up a cup and started to choose our yogurt flavors. I chose the Madagascar Vanilla as did he. I get to the toppings bar and it was just gross. Spilled candy everywhere, sticky serving spoons, etc. I passed up most of my usual toppings. The employees left a lot to be desired. They were standing around and no one was cleaning. When we got up to the front of the line, we noticed the machine that weighs your froyo was unbelievably messy. We waited for a second thinking that the employee might clean it. Nope. She just says "You have to put your cups down!" We were trying to find a clean spot to put our second cup when she barks "BOTH of them!" Sheesh. Like it would have been so much work to wipe it down with a rag. We said that we just couldn't find a clean spot and she just stared at us. Great customer service you have there, Yogurtland. For a food establishment I just expect more cleanliness and friendliness. I was unimpressed as was my husband. The other night I was having a very loud, and hilariously intense 2am discussion about what the best flavors and methods were for putting together the perfect yogurtland serving. It was at that moment that I knew I was officially hooked. I don't think any other food has conjured such intense adoration from its fans, causing lines that strech well out the door until closing at 11pm. I see people eating frozen yogurt all the time recently. Everywhere I go, those little cups taunt me. But every time I see someone eating frozen yogurt at a place that is not Yogurtland, it takes everything in me to not smack the cup out of their hands and lecture them about how they just wasted their money. I hate yogurt. Something about the texture, and the taste, and the smell... Yeah, I hate yogurt. But for some reason if you freeze it, I guess, I love it. But only from Yogurtland, because I can make the most abominable yogurt creation in Denver here. Here's the deal: Load the cup up with the peanut butter and chocolate swirl, a little cupcake batter, and maybe a cheesecake flavor. Proceed to the toppings bar and put about 15 kinds of crushed up candy bar in there. Mix it all up and disappear into your happy place. What I find that Yogurtland does differently than other places is simply more choices. There are at least 12 kinds of yogurt, from plain yogurt for lame-o's to delicious dessert type yogurts. You mix whatever you want in your cup in whatever quantity and variety you like. Then you move to the toppings station, where there are plenty of fruits and weird things like mochi for lame-o's, to like 10 kinds of crushed up candy bars for cool people. Then you pay by the ounce. The line will in all probability be out the door when you get there. Don't leave. It moves quickly. I'm telling you, this is a scientific fact: If you are paying for and eating frozen yogurt anywhere else in Denver, you are making an unforgivable, but easily correctable mistake. read more

I have a feeling that many people (judging by the ratings so far) will disagree with my opinion and that's okay. Recently my bf and I biked down to Yogurtland. He was excited because they were supposed to have peanut butter frozen yogurt. Nothing tickles his fancy more than peanut butter desserts. As for me, I prefer simplicity. I don't want forty things in my frozen yogurt or my ice cream. If the quality is good a vanilla or chocolate can stand on its own. Anyway, we get into this quickly moving but long queue some recent Wednesday evening. The first thing my bf notices; there is no peanut butter frozen yogurt (you probably already knew that from my foreshadowing). He decides on a New York Cheesecake frozen yogurt and puts tons of peanut butter cups on the top. I opted for a Madagascar Vanilla and a classic Strawberry with no toppings. We went outside to partake of our frozen desserts. Of course there was nowhere for us to sit; we opted to stand in the shade of the building. My bf finished up his peanut butter frozen yogurt but was left feeling unsatisfied. For me, I didn't finish either flavor as they were both extremely bland and much akin to frozen flavorless water. My dessert left me craving something as delicious as Liks Ice Cream or D-Bar Dessert. What a colossal disappointment. I suppose what I would have to recommend if one was to visit Yogurtland; don't let the frozen yogurt stand on its own because frankly it isn't good enough. read more

Hands down the best FroYo option in the land. They have tons of options for both FroYo and toppings, way more than Kuulture or Pinkberry. It's not the toppings that give Yogurtland it's advantage, it's the fact that you get to make your own and they charge by the ounce, which makes it exceedingly cheaper (about half the price) The only downside is that the parking lot (formally home to Blockbuster) is shared by several other busy establishments and I've had to circle around a few times to park. read more

I am glad I don't live near this area anymore because I would be there every single day. I love how I can get a perfect dessert for $3.00. Thank you thank you THANK YOU Blockbuster for leaving this little strip mall and making space for places that are much more awesome. Blockbuster, you were cool when I was little, but Netflix is in town and you're kind of a has-been. Yogurtland opened pretty recently and I had been meaning to try it once I figured out what the fro-yo hype was about. This place is self serve....all the better for trying six different yogurts and coming up with....unusual combinations. That seemed to be the biggest problem here: all the flavors. In my cup alone I had taro, coconut, blueberry tart, strawberry tart, and some sort of lemony-passion-fruity-extravaganza flavor. There were also cheesecake, nilla wafer, and chocolate flavors. And a few others I'm forgetting. They have all of your typical fruit toppings with the addition of one other: lychees! But the one problem is how out of context all of your ingredients end up tasting. Lychees are amazing - when not mixed with everything else. I guess I can't fault Yogurtland for letting people have it their way....just myself for not being able to resist the lychee. After my cup was brimming with yogurt, fruit, lychees, almonds, and white chocolate chips it was time to weight and pay. The price came to $6 for two yogurts (no, they weren't both for me). So cheap! Generally I am a big yogurtland fan and it might be my favorite frozen yogurt shop in Denver. I love the tons of flavors, the self-serve concept, and the huge number of toppings. I mean, they have nutter butters! WTF!! That is so cool. I went last night and got half cheesecake and half cookies and cream yogurt, with M&M's. It was super tasty. This place is FAR too close to my apartment, and the hours are so convenient, I could see myself developing quite the yogurtland habit. The reasons as to why it did not get five stars is that they only have one cup size and it is ginormous. That is stupid. Come on, you can have two sizes and make one just slightly less ginormous. Especially if you want to be green, it's just wasteful! Also, it was so packed and the whole self serve thing in a very busy place is a huge cluster. What can I say? I am an elitist snob and I don't like other people, they take too long doing everything and keep trying to talk to me about the flavors and it is like come on, I just want to get my fro yo and blow this popsicle stand! Fro-yo turns me into a giddy, excited 13 year old girl - especially when I'm eating fro-yo from Yogurtland. I love being able to sample various flavors, add as many toppings as I want and eat using a cute pink spoon! So, most fro-yo places are basically the same. You can sample the yogurt before you try it. At this location, the sample cups are right next to the counter. It seems like they're offering exotic flavors from around the world as a promotion right now. Once you sample the flavors, you can serve yourself and fill up your cup. I decided to pick birthday cake froyo, it was awesome, but not too heavy. I usually add fruit, cheesecake, sprinkles and cookie dough. The bar with the toppings was clean and well maintained, which is always a plus! My dessert was around $4, so it can be more or less depending on how much froyo/toppings you add. The Yogurt invasion seems full swing in Denver, we just returned from LA in August and there must be 20 different chains vying for supremacy in Cali. Here is my favorite FroYo spot in Denver. Right now in Denver Yogurtland is the best, they have the best selection of flavors on a daily basis and they have great pricing at .30 a ounce. You are in control of you own flavor creations, someplace's in town offer toppings at .95 each topping yeah they fill your cup but here you can get what you want make it what you want and not walk out like you just got felt up on light rail by the meter maid! Bottom line they have the widest variety of flavors, competitive pricing. Great tasting and you control your portions, control your toppings and have the freedom to make your own concoctions. read more
