What an absolutely AMAZING experience today, as we celebrated our 5 year old great-niece after her stellar performance at her dance recital! She requested sushi( such a very discerning palate for her young age-lol ), and WOW did this restaurant deliver....From the moment we walked in the door our party of 8 plus 2 children were treated like family. Everyone was so warm, welcoming and accommodating. The sushi rolls were so fresh and delicious. They offer a very extensive and well balanced menu. I especially enjoyed the seafood soup, while others raved about the shrimp dumpling soup...The place is quite beautiful, and we all really had an incredible dining experience. Had a sushi night for my girlfriend's bach and ended up ordering party trays from Yokohama! It was so easy placing the order with them. I had asked for several recommendations especially because we have a preggo friend on the bach. Yokohama suggested some raw fish and a cooked party tray with a few kitchen and app dishes to balance everything out. The price was very decent for the quality of the food. The fish was fresh and the food were sooo good! The sushi and rice ratio was also perfect (cause most sushi places do more rice with their rolls and I am not a fan of that!) I was meeting up with two friends on a weekday night at 6PM. This place is located in one of those outdoor mini shopping plazas (not sure if that's what you call it). There was plenty of free parking out front and we were seated right away. They have both seating indoors and outdoors but we opted to sit inside. There is a nice ambiance inside (low lighting, romantic) and the noise isn't loud where you have to yell in order to have a conversation with other people at the table. I did not use the bathroom but I know there is at least one since my friend used it. The servers were attentive and the place looked very clean. Between the 3 of us we had 3 appetizers (Grilled Eggplant, Crispy Calamari and Steamed Gyoza), a Tiger Roll, a Curry Chicken/Shrimp Udon Soup and a Shrimp Teriyaki Dinner Bento Box. I was surprised at the amount of eggplant for the appetizer! Everything was delicious! The only thing is the tempura in the bento box needed some sort of sauce (looking back I guess I could have tried some soy sauce?) but it didn't come with anything and was bland just as is. While it's smaller than the previous location, the tables and booths are very comfortable. I wish and look forward to an expansion, for private parties. Again, just wish. Well maybe not, if you would like to enjoy a well crafted drink at their bar while waiting. Yokohama just reopened recently so of course I had to pay my favorite restaurant a visit. To say it's sushi heaven on earth would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. Why so? Well let's start with the ambiance. The owners renovated the space and I absolutely ADORE the new decor. The elevated and sophisticated atmosphere make it's a perfect date spot or GNO. From the minimalist design of their sushi/drink bar down to the presentation of their sashimi platter, you can tell they really care about the vanity of the restaurant and have great attention to detail - (Please refer to picture below!) For me, what makes this place stand out the most is really the value of their sashimi/sushi rolls. They use the best quality part of the fish for a very fair price. You can tell just by looking at the bright and shiny slices of their salmon/tuna/etc. Upon the first taste test, the piece of salmon that I devoured had a firm texture with no hint of any fishy-ness....just the way I like it! For the price I paid for, I would much rather indulge in Yokohama's sashimi vs some of the low tier omakase restaurants you can find in the city. Sushi was good and so was the chicken teriyaki, it gets two stars because I felt like I was being rushed the whole time, I used to be a server and I completely understand tending to tables and rushes and amazing fast service, but I felt like they kept coming over and over and over and I felt like I couldn't just relax and eat. The server asked us if we wanted our daughters dish to go a few times and we politely said no, she's three and needs to take some time. Towards the end, she asked if we wanted the dish to go, and we said yes because my daughter had made progress on her plate. But she took my daughters plate she was eating from and the dish in the middle of the table! I was so shocked lol. We weren't there for very long, so I'm not sure why this felt like we were being forced to not take our time and enjoy our meal like a happy family, it completely ruined it tbh. I had an issue with our card prior to paying so I just needed to check my app and with no wifi I couldn't load it, and not even a minute passed and the server came and tried to take the book and card right in front of me while it was open and I was loading my bank app. Then two different servers came by asking to take it right away without understanding I just needed a second to make sure I was good before I put my card down to pay . It made me so upset and frustrated. We were totally fine until they kept rushing us, I can't speak for all the food but what we had was good. The servers were polite but it came off rude and annoying tbh, the service though.. I don't think I'll come back for another experience like that. It was our first time too. read more

The low lighting, booths, and immaculate tidiness of the food's presentation and general atmosphere truly set it apart from other Asian cuisine restaurants in the area. The staff are always friendly and on top of all the orders. I've never encountered a delay in pick-up! My most recent order was the beef and broccoli and it was divine! The meat was cut like butter and the sauce wasn't too salty or oily. It was just the right amount to coat the meat without overpowering its flavor. I also appreciate how fresh the vegetables are. I love so many things on their menu, I don't even know where to start... their fish is always fresh so their salmon n tuna Don def are on the top of my list.. steak teriyaki is perfect for sharing for your table! Can't go wrong with their dumplings, I've had pork and veggie gyoza, both delish! Their Manhattan roll is perfect for people who "dAbble" in sushi... it does have spicy tuna on top but it has chicken tempura on the inside! We loved this! The staff is very attentive, almost too attentive... I got a little annoyed last time we were in there bc the waitresses were like stalking our table and trying to grab everything the second we finished it and it wasn't even busy, it was anxiety inducing lol. Both were so savory and flavorful. The cod miso took the cake for me because it was piping hot, soft and flaky, with a delicious and deep sweet soy flavor. The cod miso was recommended to us as it's not something I would normally order. Now I would order it every time I come! I think we had the No.5 roll and the 2009 roll? I'm not too sure but it was beautiful and tasty! We were so impressed when it came out. One roll literally has everything I love - shrimp tempura, salmon, avocado, lobster, crab and hit the spot!
