An excellent new Ramen addition to the already impressive Portland Ramen scene. Order at counter, space is very light filled and open. Had the Spicy Tonkatsu with black garlic oil. Noodles were nice and springy, broth was deep, very good overall. Karage chicjen was very crisp and juicy. Maybe not in top tier of Portland Ramen, but solid!

Came here for lunch on a cold day. Located at the Yard on the NE side of the Burnside bridge. This ramen place offers hot ramen dishes that will warm your heart. I ordered the Japanese Curry over rice which is a common comfort food on a cold day. This plate did not disappoint, the curry was very flavorful and the rice was perfectly steamed. They also did not skimp on the protein (choice of chicken or pork). I would come back again to try one of the many bowls of their ramen they have to offer. The service was super friendly.

I really enjoyed my ramen here! The noodles were cooked perfectly, there was a healthy amount of each side ingredient, and the egg was cooked exactly as it should be for ramen. I drank all of the rich tonkatsu broth at the end of my meal. The iced matcha latte was delicious too! My only critiques are that the spicy tonkatsu wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, so maybe there should be togarashi on the table, and while the selection of bottled Kirin, Asahi, and Sapporo is applauded, there should be one on draft. I also wish that the chashu was just a litttttle bit fattier, but chalk that up to personal preference. They offer discount on parking in the building lot, which is nice if there's no street parking nearby.

We ordered delivery so cannot speak to the friendliness of the staff or cleanliness of the restaurant. The food arrived on time and the order was what we had expected. That packaging was done very well keeping the broths separated from the noodles. I'm not a ramen connoisseur but the broths had great flavors and the proteins were very tender. The seaweed salad was pretty normal, the karaage was juicy with a crispy outside layer and the Takoyaki was also good. Everything tasted great and we all enjoyed our meals

Food is so good! Service is fabulous! The food is a little pricey..I got ramen, gyoza, and edamame and it was $32. Personally would skip the edemame next time, nothing to it like they do at Afuri IYKYK. Side note: parking in the garage was a TERRIBLE experience. The $2 voucher from Yokohama didn't work and the auto parking attendant was zero help. Took me half hour to get out of the garage.

No complaints about the service nor the ambiance. Very friendly staff in a clean modern spot near the west end of the Burnside Bridge. I wish I could like it better but the value for this meal wasn't there. Portions were small for the $17 bowls of noodle as were the over-priced apps. The noodles lack substance and chew. The broths were very muted in flavor. For the prices paid, I had hoped for something above average. Located near convention center, OK if you're looking for something more than fast-food.

I'm pretty much a ramen snob. Hailing from California, I've had plenty of delicious ramen in the Bay Area and beyond. I have yet to go to Japan, but California has some bomb ramen spots, and my standards are high. Not many places in Portland piqued my interest when searching for a good bowl of top-quality ramen during our anniversary trip, but Yokohama Skyline Eatery certainly did, especially when I read that the ramen was served Hakata style. It was a hot day, but nothing has ever stopped me from getting a bowl of ramen during a heat wave. My husband and I (and one other individual) were the only ones dining in. The ambiance was nice and quiet, and the restaurant was very chic and clean. You are required to place your order up front before taking a seat. Both of us wanted the tonkotsu ramen w/ black garlic oil, and we both added corn for $2 each. We also paid for chili oil to share, which was only an extra $1. The man who took our order was friendly and welcoming as well. We took a seat by the giant windows up front and people-watched while waiting for our food. I absolutely love giant windows in restaurants, and the natural light that comes through. In less than 10 minutes, our bowls of ramen arrived. I believe it was the chef himself who brought our bowls to our table, which was such a nice touch. We were both so excited to dig in. Upon having our first taste of broth, we were blown away by its richness. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender. We didn't even have to chew the meat. The noodles were absolutely perfect. Adding the chili oil to the ramen only enhanced its flavor. I loved the black garlic oil, and the egg was perfectly yolky. There was plenty of menma as well. I didn't want to slurp all my ramen quickly, but man this bowl hit. It wasn't heavy either, which I've experienced at other restaurants in the past. Yokohama Skyline Eatery is definitely on par with some of the best ramen restaurants I've had in the Bay Area, and I wish we could have gone back for another bowl. There are so many options on the menu! This ramen restaurant is definitely on the top 5 places I would eat at again the next time we visit PDX.

The staff was really nice and the restaurant was clean. Got the tonkatsu with black garlic oil (no ginger) . The noodles and Pork were good. The noodles were a good texture. The pork had flavor. The broth was okay. The broth was Not thick and rich enough for me. The black garlic oil was just a light splash.

Great food was at a conference and came here for lunch. Be mindful the location is a little small so if you have a large group you may have to break up.

Yokohama Skyline was such a great find. It's a clean establishment with excellent and friendly service. I ordered the miso ramen which was buttery yet light with pieces of corn, bamboo shoots, your choice of pork or chicken, in a nice broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly with a small chew to them and so yummy. My husband ordered the tantan which was super rich, had an egg, bamboo shoots, a bit of spice, and ground meat. They also have matcha and hojicha, so of course I had to get that! There's plenty of seating to bring friends, family, or to be solo.

I was craving ramen for lunch and stumbled upon this hidden gem! Conveniently located near Knot Springs in the NE area, this place is newly renovated, clean, and offers an inviting atmosphere. The ramen was outstanding--packed with flavor and generous toppings. I ordered the pork ramen, and the meat literally melts in your mouth. The owner provided excellent, friendly service, asked how my day was and the food arrived quickly. I had the Tonkotsu with black garlic ramen, and I can honestly say it's the best I've ever tasted. As a fan of black garlic oil, I was impressed by how authentic and flavorful it all was--no need to add anything like chili oil or extra shoyu. This spot deserves all the love. It's a 10/10, and I can't wait to bring everyone I know here. The chef in the back is a true ramen master. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out! They've just opened, and I know they'll quickly become a local favorite and I'll come back as much as I can to try more!

We came in on a Saturday night, the place is clean but quite empty. Only one table was occupied. We went up to order at the cashier, then sat down at a table. Service was friendly. I got the tonkotsu with garlic oil and my partner got the regular tonkotsu ramen. The noodle is chewy, but the broth is quite mild and the egg does not have the perfectly creamy yolk that I love. The slices of pork I got were quite fatty. One of them is almost completely fat. On the contrary my partner's bowl had pork that was very lean and tough. If you love a mild soup base that you can drink, this may be the spot for you. However personally, I will not be back.

First impression: strong cooking smell inside the restaurant--the ventilation needs to be fixed. I really didn't want my clothing to smell. Other than that the restaurant was quaint and well kept. Service: smiles and friendly Food: tonkatsu ramen: broth was pure, milky and porky, and not overly salty (which I appreciate and finished the very last drop). The creamy yolk of the egg was nice. It also has bamboo shoots, green onion, and seaweed. The noodle was fairly standard. The char siu was tender with just the perfect amount of fat to be tasty and unctuous. Nice neighborhood eatery for a quick meal

I ordered the red miso, and there was sugar snap peas and asparagus, which is unusual. The individual ingredients themselves were fine but as a whole, it didn't taste like miso or spicy ramen. The overload of vegetables didn't seem to belong in a typical miso ramen dish (my go-to order) and rendered the broth quite bland. My husband ordered the black shoyu ramen, which was pretty one-note. Ota Tofu is one of my favorite spots in Portland for their amazingly fresh tofu, and it's right across from this ramen shop. Sadly, the tofu they used here was fried to a crisp, lost most of its flavor and had an unpleasant, sharp texture.

The kitchen brings out steaming bowls incredibly fast, filled with rich broths and excellent toppings with an efficient, straightforward dining style. Tonkotsu Shoyu (4/5): A deeply comforting and classic bowl of ramen. They offer a generous portion of perfectly cooked noodles paired with plenty of fresh vegetables like spinach, green onions, and mushrooms. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly yolky, but the dish would've been elevated even further with a slightly more generous serving of chashu pork. Tonkotsu Red (5/5): A unique variation for those who love a bit of heat. It shares the same chewy noodle and vegetable foundation as the Shoyu, but has a spicy broth that builds and ramps up the more you slurp. The heat was a distinct, subtle numbing sensation reminding me of Sichuan peppercorns, creating an incredibly flavorful and unique twist on a traditional tonkotsu base. But unfortunately the bowl was super small. It's a $4 add-on to the curry that you can finish in like 3-5 spoonfulls. Maybe that's not terrible as an add-on; I dunno.
