I already had double eyelids but my eyes were hooded so my crease barely showed. I decided on getting the noninvasive eyelid procedure since i'm too scared to do actual eyelid surgery so it was a great option for me. Booking -- you can make an appointment online, it is very easy and convenient. I believe i DMed them on instagram and received a reply within the next few hours. Procedure -- the entire consultation (day of) and procedure was about 3 hours but actual procedure took about 15-20 minutes? I'm not sure but it felt quick and painless, just some pressure and a bit uncomfy but nothing you can't handle. I was awake but on laughing gas, the dr. applies local anesthetic (i believe) by a shot. That part probably stung/hurt the most. Post care -- my eyes were puffy and felt tight but nothing too uncomfortable. I didn't have any bruising and i was able to go to work the next day. They provided me with eyedrops and pain medication. I bought arnica pills for extra $ which is probably why i didn't bruise. Promo -- i booked during a promo and i also got model pricing since i allowed them to take photos and a video testimony. I would recommend this if possible. Results -- 100% satisfied! My eyelids have more space and it looks really natural. I can't remember what i looked like before honestly. I don't feel anything in my eye and when i close it, you can't see any sutures. I've gotten so many compliments when I tell people I got it done. I would definitely recommend it if you've been over the fence about getting the procedure. It's been over a year since the procedure so I'm happy to say it was reallyyyy worth it!

I got the QCW with Dr. Suzuki about a month and a half ago. I found out about her from Tiktok in March of 2020 but was hesitated to make the trip to Irvine as I'm from NYC. After a few years of waiting and seeing other testimonial videos on both Instagram and Tiktok...I decided to do the BFF deal with my friend to get it done! I couldn't be happier in my decision to finally do it. I had a remote consultation with the doctor who was very accommodating and sweet. Her staff was just as easy to work with and schedule my surgery date. The recovery and pain was really nonexistent. They give you laughing gas/nitrous and apply 4 shots to each eye to numb it. The most painful part was the shots to the eye area. Besides that you just felt pulling and pressure. The whole eyelid procedure took 20-30 mins. They give you a mask, pills, & eye drops with the recovery! The pills and mask are an extra cost but def is worth paying. I feel much more confident and happy about my results! Have 0 regrets and would recommend to anyone.

I spent over $4,000 at this clinic last year, and all I got was regret, uneven eyelids, and endless waiting. I went in for the QC triple procedure hoping to get a more defined eyelid crease since I naturally don't have one. I told Dr. Shonan I wanted a bigger crease -- but as a doctor, her job isn't to just blindly follow instructions. It's to advise and guide patients toward what will actually look good. She didn't do that. She just did what I said. I understand that it was my fault for thinking that bigger eyelids would look good on me, but as a doctor, she didn't say anything to stop me from doing it. Her employees said I look great after every procedure. I'll leave it to you guys to see if I look great. My left eyelid came out way bigger than my right. When I complained, she blamed it on ptosis -- instead of taking responsibility for her work. Didn't she know it before the procedure? She did. So we redid the right eyelid, and I STILL looked awful. Zero improvement, zero accountability. They didn't charge me for the redone. But it gets worse: every single time I had an appointment -- especially on procedure days -- I was forced to wait 30 to 60 minutes past my scheduled time. When I finally asked why, her staff admitted that "she has a busy schedule and can't be on time." Seriously? I'm spending thousands of dollars and I can't even be treated with basic respect or punctuality? Eventually, I paid another $500 out of my own pocket to have the stitches removed and went to a new surgeon for blepharoplasty. That doctor actually listened to me, gave honest advice about what would look good, and the results were night and day. Dr. Shonan should not be offering cosmetic procedures if she can't deliver results, can't manage time, and can't be honest with patients. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your face, your time, and your money. I paid for the QC TRIPLE option, which is significantly more expensive than QCW, because it's supposed to use three sutures for better, longer-lasting results. While they didn't explicitly promise permanent sutures, the fact that my eyelids were already drooping in just four months is unacceptable. On top of that, the shape of my eyes ended up looking drastically different from each other. PLEASE don't spend your time replying my review. It already happened. You can't fix. Spending your time on the understanding what patients with ptosis need or patients who have uneven eyes really need to fix their eyelids.

I had the pleasure having my QCW procedure done by Dr. Yoko & the staff here at Shonan Beauty. Everyone was very nice and heartwarming from the beginning, in between the process with superb job from the marketing team, shoutout to Konrad for his spunky personality, allowing me to be myself in front of the camera, his work was outstanding. Post procedure was painless, little to no bruising, minimal swelling with great results! I can't thank the Shonan team, especially Dr. Yoko enough. She is honest, straightforward, and she will recommend what is best for you. My advice is don't hesitate, trust Shonan and Dr. Yoko in helping you boost your confidence, do it for you, life is too short! I am marrying the love of my life in a week and this couldn't have been a better wedding present for myself, thank you again Dr. Yoko and the entire Shonan Beauty team.

i waited a few years to write this review as i just ended up forgetting. i got the qcw procedure done and honestly i regret it. my eyelids were a little uneven before(one eye would sometimes go monolidded) and i wanted to fix it with this procedure but ended up making it a whole lot worse. the concern about the uneven eyelids were brought up at the one month check-in but i ended up being gaslit with various excuses saying it's just swelling or that my eye shape is uneven to begin with so symmetrical eyelids were not possible(this had not been brought up during consultation. had it been, i would have opted for traditional blepharoplasty as my goal was even eyelids). overall, it's not too terrible of a result since i didn't want a large crease, but it's still a noticeable difference that i will eventually still have to spend money correcting via other means. i had stated my goal in the initial consultation and were that not possible, i should have been informed of such. book at your own risk.

I saw the ads on Facebook and was intrigued by Dr. Suzuki. I always wanted double eye lid surgery but was always afraid of scarring and how long the recovery process took. But my eyes were looking tired, droopy, and the tape method I had been using since middle school just wasn't cutting it anymore! I decided to book a consultation just to see what it was about. I thought I wanted Forever technique but ended up choosing QCW. The clinic is clean and the staff incredibly professional and kind. I had my procedure a few weeks later and went through final looks with the doctor just before. She recommended we go wider due to swelling, which made me really happy. I wanted to go as wide as possible. The procedure itself was uncomfortable but was relatively quick. It's recommended that you ice and sleep elevated to help with swelling. I was able to go back to work right away, and even went out with friends the following day. So far, the results are extremely natural. I look more alert, and I can actually use and play around with eyeshadow - something I could never do before. I am super happy I got this done and my one regret is not getting it done sooner. I highly recommend Dr. Suzuki and her team to get you the prettiest looking eyes!

I did the QCW and like many, was nervous before the procedure but the office staff and Dr. Yoko took their time answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. I opted to do the procedure the same day as my consultation so my friend drove me and picked me up, took a little over an hour for everything. The actual procedure itself was fast, about 20 min after consultation with the doctor as she shows you different options for your eyes. Through her expertise, I decided on taper method. In the OR, she injects numbing medication on your eyelid and that's probable the most painful part. Initially afterwards my left eyelid felt very scratchy and doctor flipped my eyelid back over to ensure there was nothing sticking out. I would say the first day was the most uncomfortable with blinking, I had mild bruising and moderate swelling for a week and then mild swelling for two weeks and after that, everything looked normal. I've been complimented by how natural it looks and my mom and aunt are now both interested in the same procedure. Had the best experience doing the QCW procedure with Dr. Suzuki. I only wish I did it sooner. I can't stop staring at my eyes finally being perfectly double eyelids! I had a great experience with Shonan Beauty clinic! The staff is very kind and helpful. I decided to do their popular QCW eyelid procedure and love it! My consultation with Dr. Yoko was very thorough; she made me feel safe and comfortable with our chosen eye design. The procedure was quick and with the local anesthesia there was little to no pain, only pressure. After the procedure, I experienced minimal downtime. I loved that I was able to put makeup over the bruises and not have to worry about it interfering with the healing because the stitches are placed underneath the eyelid and not on the surface. With proper care, I was able to go to work the same week. I'm very happy with my results and highly recommend the QCW technique to anyone that wants a seamless procedure. read more

I made a consultation for the double eyelid procedure and then went ahead and scheduled my surgery for later that week! i've always wanted double eyelids but didn't know where to go and was scared to go under the knife, but this threading technique was super fast and easy! I chose the QCW technique! I was very nervous the day of my surgery but the doctor and nurses were really nice and calmed my nerves. I was awake the entire time but i didn't feel any "pain", more so pressure near my eyes. right after, it was pretty swollen and bruised, but after a week or two it was all healed and i loved how they turned out! I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for double eyelids non invasive technique. read more

I got the QWC procedure about two months ago and I am loving the results so far! My friend got it first and was impressed by her results so I booked a trip down to the clinic from Seattle. I have worn double eyelid tape for over 10 years due to uneven eyelids. Now, I wake up without worrying how my eyelids are going to hold up. This saves me so much time and they look more awake than before. The whole process was extremely seamless from booking the appointment to the actual procedure. Such a nice experience! My right eye is quite dropping compared with my left eye, and the instant eye lid surgery with Dr Shonan make my eyes symmetrical right away and the look is so natural after about 3-4 weeks. Also the surgery is surprisingly minimal invasive and I have no problem working 2 to 4 days after the operation. Forget to mention about how patient Doc is , she actullay spent most of time to discuss with me in order to make sure the design will improve my eye looking Fantastic!! read more

Moving my post from another account: I was planning to go to Seoul for surgery but I'm glad I found Dr. Suzuki here in Irvine. The consultation was quick and we spoke about the desired result of the QCW. After the consultation, waited for a bit and then I proceeded for the surgery on the same day. It was very calming and I wasn't worried during the procedure. I knew I was in great care and after the procedure, I was able to go home and take care of myself for the next few days. After a month, the swelling went down really fast and I'm happy I decided to go with Dr. Suzuki and the QCW procedure. I even got complimented on my beautiful eyes recently, people think I was born with them, so thank you Dr. Suzuki! Update: It's been about 5 months since my procedure and I still get compliments on my beautiful eyes. I love trying new make up and you can finally see my lashes as they're not hidden from my hooded eyelids. read more

I met Dr. Suzuki for a droopy eye lid condition after a eye lid surgery I had two years ago. I went in knowing that her procedure may not be my fix but her and all the staff were very were very accommodating and solution oriented. Would definitely recommend for anyone that actually wants to create more of a double eye but in my case I'm trying to make one side a little less pronounced Great staff and amazing service. Quick procedure. Dr. Suzuki is skilled in the operating room. -1 star: There was a bit of a complication where the suture thread landed on my eyeball and slid across the surface when it was removed. This resulted in severe corneal damage which left my eye with intense pain, nonstop tears, and partially blind for a week. It took 3-4 weeks for my eyeball to fully recover. -1 star: Communication from the staff varied. Some were very competent and others did not disclose information upfront until after the procedure (e.g. writing a Yelp and a Google review was mandatory). Aside from the above, I'm content with my results. read more

If you are unhappy with your upper eyelids Shonan Beauty Clinic is your place to go! I first heard about the instant double eyelid surgery from my cousin, who also had the procedure done before me and loved her results. It's a great alternative to upper blepharoplasty as it's non-invasive and has basically no down time. The clinic was super easy to work with and was able to see me fairly quickly. My eyelids had multiple creases which made me look tired but Dr. Yoko was able to create one crease in my lids. My eyes looked more open and refreshed almost immediately after the procedure, I love my results! read more

I had a really awesome experience getting my double eyelids corrected with the QCW technique. I had both my consultation and my procedure done on the same day, and it was the most shockingly quick and painless recovery ever! Besides some swelling, I looked completely normal within a week, and was not even swollen anymore by two weeks. My eyelids look so natural and are so even. I originally came in due to uneven eyelids and was always using eyelid glue to fix one side, so this is such a dream. Putting on makeup is so easy now, and I don't even feel like I need makeup anymore now either. They look like "my own, but better" and I completely recommend SBC! read more

Did my first QCW and the results is better than than I thought it would be. Staff was super friendly and informative- they did follow up calls to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. I had a little swelling and bruising but it looked like I was crying and my eyeliner was running. I would definitely do QCW again and get the lifetime warranty! read more

Would give zero if I could. I had a blepharoplasty done and my results were horrible, the MDs post surgery care was rude to non existent and his answer to my poor results was "well we should do another more expensive procedure to get the results you want". Not the place to go to...I have found other MDs and regret wasting money here read more

I used to live in LA so I made contact for facial hair removal. Now I move out from LA so I need to fly to LA. So far, they have canceled my appointment for 3 times. 3 TIMES. this is unbelievable. I'm wasting my money. I really want to cancel the contract. Shonan Beaty is really huge company in Japan. Their service in japan is great. But in US, I can't say anything about good thing. I'm not from the area so I opted to do the same day QCW consultation and procedure. When I arrived to the office, I watched a few informational videos on an iPad then went with the medical staff to do a health screening and ask some pre procedure questions. My consultation with Dr. Yoko was fairly quick but we talked about what was feasible with my current eyelids. The procedure itself was less than 30 minutes. Dr. Yoko used local anesthesia and laughing gas during the surgery, but I still felt a lot of pressure throughout. It was pretty intense tbh and is not for the faint of heart! The recovery process went well, but my eyes were super swollen for the first few days, and I was able to wear contacts by day two. Overall I had a good experience at Shonan Beauty. I do feel they were a little rushed, but overall I am satisfied with the outcome. I would recommend the QCW procedure to others :) read more

Since getting these done - I barely have had to fill in, maybe a slight touch up if I have an event or need to do some make up. If you like bare faced and natural looks, this was game changing. I'm super not familiar with make up or skilled at it - enough to be dangerous, and this helped me so much. I feel more confident and happier with my brows. Only slight upkeep is needed to trim! I have already gotten my touch up from the initial appointment, and you only need to go maybe every year or so after to touch up. I'm three weeks post-op from my breast augmentation performed by Dr. Kahng, scheduled and coordinated by the lovely Maritza, and cared for by a darling staff of nurses. I chose him because of his work on body types similar to mine, I am lean and athletic with very minimal breast tissue and have a long narrow torso. One detail that stood out to me was that I saw that he takes great care of nipple placement, which was important to me because I saw many other surgeons' works with disregard for that aesthetic. After seven months of research, I went to two consultations. I picked Dr. Kahng after careful reflection for his candor and demeanor during my consult. Maritza was in the room with me, which made me feel safe and comforted meeting with and undressing in front of the doctor (Yes, I know it's his job, but I'm a 24yo and can feel nervous alone with men... it felt like having a mom in the room with me when I was a child getting a checkup... I liked that feeling). The nurses have been a pleasure. I've come for four early mornings and they've all greeted me heartily with smiles and laughter. I've contended with anxiety all my life but they put me at such ease every time I see them for check ups-- thank you. In previous consults, when I asked about breastfeeding, possible complications, closing the gap in my visible sternum- I was given enthusiastic yeses! Everything is possible! Nothing can go wrong! But Dr. Kahng had a more reliable and sophisticated demeanor. He was down to earth, but never hesitated to tell me an answer I might not want to hear. His honesty was appreciated far more than any people-pleasing enthusiasm. I actually saw a negative review about his attitude but... it made me want to choose him because I knew he would be honest and direct with me. My augmentation went through smoothly, I did ask for the biggest size my body could fit (350cc) and he told me it might not be possible- but that he would try. He succeeded. I would say the pain was difficult at first, the tightness and stretching, the one hour car-ride home (and back for checkups the first week) But I got through it, and I'm beyond ecstatic about my result. The healing has gone very well, and I was warned amply about potential complications and risks, but I've felt well-cared for and monitored closely by the team at Cara. I have no doubt at all in my mind that I picked the right surgeon for my breast augmentation. And I'm filled with gratitude for the support I've received from the staff.
