You can see it from the street. It faces Market Ave and is part of Riversides bustling downtown. Parking is available behind the restaurant. The decor is filled with cultural touches and there's a bar. They also have a few seats available on the patio. I decided to keep my order simple. I ordered their gourmet quesadilla with carne asada inside . The quesadilla was a good size and came as part of a combo with choice of 2 sides. I selected the Mexican rice and black beans. It did not come with a salsa, but the waitress asked which one I would like and brought one out for me. The quesadilla was easy to eat - no tough pieces of Carne Asada. The cheese they used was white cheese. I ended up boxing up one piece of quesadilla and the salsa to go. chips and salsa do not come out before the meal, which is fine with me because I don't want to load up on that before I eat.

Came here on a Tuesday for a impromptu date night with the wife just because we could. The food was good, the burrito that I had had good flavor and the meat was cooked perfectly. It was also probably the quickest I have ever received food after ordering it which was awesome. I will say, having 88oz of liquid combined with the burrito was a struggle. It was so much to try to consume but we still did it! Our server was fun to be around as well, rolling with jokes and sass. It's the type of service I expect from a bar/restaurant. We will absolutely be back and recommended it to our colleagues.

One of the best menudo I've had. Michelada was really good too. Sarah was amazing. She came and checked on us often.

Food is good. Ambiance is nice. Mimosas tower $45 is just ok in my opinion. Customer service is also just meh 6/10. We asked for more limes and the guy told us let me know what else you need before I go. It was very much him telling us we were found too much but I mean, you bring one napkin per plate and then they start packing up right when they're closing basically telling us to hurry up and leave. So the service even before that feels super rushed.

hello! the tacos were great the carne asada and fish tacos comes in a good size and is fulfilling taste and toppings were up to par the michelada was great also, standard the shrimp dish platter was ok, it was too runny and a bit soggy due to that great restaurant to dine or take out!

I came here with my boyfriend on a whim because we needed to kill some time and grab some breakfast before an event nearby. This restaurant was totally my vibe. I absolutely loved all the crazy drinks they had and the fun music they were playing. The bartender was our server, and he was really on top of things and crack some jokes along the way I went simple with the ham and egg breakfast and everything tasted great and opted for a large mimosa. I definitely go back if I was back in the area it's a perfect place to go with friends or to celebrate something fun. (One thing to mention is parking is available around back and you have to enter through the front)

The food was really good, and I enjoyed the fish tacos. Unfortunately, the service and an extra charge left me disappointed. I asked for a side of sauce which I didn't mind paying for, but it was never brought. When I asked another server, she explained that the fish tacos only come with salsa and mayo mixed in the cabbage, so I simply asked for a little extra mayo on the side. When I got the bill, I was charged $3 for a quarter-sized side of mayo, which I felt was outrageous. I understand charging for extras, but $3 for such a small amount of a condiment seemed excessive. Good food, but that charge definitely left a bad impression.

I had a great experience at this place. It was my first time here. I had the wet burrito ranchero(spicy). It definitely had a kick and full of flavor. The barbacoa in the taco combo was delicious as well. The guacamole was fresh and perfectly made. The drink was really good and even the candy was soft. The service was great, highlight of the restaurant. Was seated immediately and the server checked in on us many times. The food came out promptly and it was all fresh. The ambiance is so nice. The interior is nice and the parking is plenty. The bar area looks cool too, multiple TVs showing sports. Will definitely be returning to this place.

The service is not good, the people are rude, and the food is whatever. The food does not have much flavor. I also think they have personal ties to a towing company because they towed my friends car while she was in the area. So be careful.

The ambiance is excellent. It's super cute inside with the lighting on the darker side. It's a cute spot for a date. Service is excellent, walked in and was greeted and seated right away. Didn't know what to order so I went with a classic asada burrito. The burrito was a good size, rice and beans tasted good. The asada meat was seasoned well. I would eat here again.

The new bartender, I forgot her name. She was such a sweetheart!! Food was alright, don't recommend the chilaquiles. Not authentic. The Asada fries are Just a heads up, they charge Gratuity Fee on ticket. Another thing, the owners are rude as if they're better than you because they own the restaurant. I went up to them to compliment the bartender and they all looked at me with no acknowledgement no reaction on their faces. Weird but okay. The drink and the bartender were the best part of this place. Honestly, lowly recommend.

3.5 STARS - Better than average Mexican food restaurant serving fresh and hot tortillas, spicy hot sauces, and sweet mole sauces. Not too busy on a weeknight during dinner time. Plenty of table seating and also bar seating. My friends let me know that their mixed drinks are pretty strong, too! I ate: - Chicken Mole Burrito and Chicken Mole Enchiladas This straight up tasted like candy. More like a mole poblano and even sprinkled with nuts. Not light like a pepian or other mole Colorado or verde, etc. I'd love confirmation on what kind of mole this is specifically. - Cochinita Pibil Really soft and falling apart cochinita pibil. I'd order this next time. - Quesadilla Really good "as is" and their quesadillas are served with a protein of choice. So sort of like a tlayuda/clayuda? They also offered to make this with corn tortillas. I enjoyed the friendliness and speed of service, as well as the decor and overall vibe of the restaurant.

Great spot. The food was really good. Flavors were a little different than what we're used to but they were still delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The dining area was large and spacious. Everything was clean and not overtly crowded. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

The meal started off strong with their chips and salsa--super fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the chicken fajitas. While they were cooked properly, I wish they had a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavor. My wife had the enchiladas divorciadas, which were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, the filling was a bit cool. She probably should have sent it back, but since we were in a hurry, we didn't bother. On the positive side, my daughter had the carne asada burrito, and she said it was excellent. Service started off great with our younger male waiter being very attentive at first, but it slowed down significantly as our meal went on. By the end of our visit, I actually had to go up to the register to ask to pay. It was lunch time, and it wasn't that busy, so this felt a bit out of the ordinary. Despite the hiccups, I'm willing to give Morena's Mexican Cuisine another try, as it may have just been an off day. The chips and salsa, along with my daughter's burrito, showed that they definitely have what it takes to impress. I'll reserve final judgment after my next visit!

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.
