I haven't been to this fruit stand since I was a kid. It's not how I remembered it. Almost everything they sell is way overpriced. Some of the fruit was already rotting. It looked like they were also selling stuff from grocery stores but for more money. The fruit we did buy was pretty good, just a little expensive. They have different types of jerky. My daughter picked out the Buffalo Jerky. She hasn't tried it yet so not sure how good it is. We also bought some dried mango, my family enjoyed that. The employees were nice. It was very hot inside. I honestly probably wouldn't come back.

Stopped by on our way home from Vacaville Outlets because my friend wanted some fresh produce. I was hot and cranky but since it was literally RIGHT off the freeway I said okay. It is actually a little market so it is more than a fruit stand. Produce was iffy on some things so you really have to be selective or maybe because it has been 100 degrees that things are wilting? I did pick up a few things I needed. What I did like was the dried fruit and nut selection. Prices are not the lowest. I'd say comparable to Trader Joes without the flair. The lady at the register was nice. It's an alright place to stop but expected prettier produce. I'd worry a little about the shelf life but since I was using it within a day I was not as worried.

Yolo Fruit Stand - out there, frontage road, south side Hwy 80, before causeway heading east.

I just bought corn for 3/99 cents. I was disappointed, there's no kernel inside. Probably young, I should have checked it first.

It's one of the few fruit stands in the larger Sacto area that is open year round with fresh produce.

Not the best fruit stand to stop at, to me it seems poorly ran. It used to be better years ago. Now you never know what's fresh or not.

Grocery store strawberries are always a little gamble of is this sweet or will it be sour, and I'm generally okay with that as I love strawberries. But these? 100% guarantee to be the best strawberries you'll ever eat! We go early in the morning before it gets hot. It's pretty nice strolling down the lanes of strawberries and finding ripe ones. We got 10 lbs last trip and froze them so we can have them as long as possible. I feel like every time I go down to Sacramento, I'll be trying to figure out how to come down here. I really do love supporting this farm, it's run by a family that came from Thailand and they're really sweet! It's a true family own business, like you'll see the parents or daughter running the stand.

Yumm can be found in West Sac, drive slow or you'll miss it. They charge $3 per person but if your little is less than 2yrs old they are free. It's then $2.99 per pound for the berries and you get to pick them yourselves, so fun! The berries are worth it and they are deliciously sweet. I would highly recommend this adventure for you and your family!

The International Food Market carries 2 brands of them, both inexpensive. If you've never shopped here, it's an amazing store with such a wide variety of items for such a small store. Ambiance: there is a lot of cultural food to choose from and there is usually no music playing. Shoutout(s): to the selection. You can buy basic bubblegum to frozen tamales, even pita. Location review: it's small, but nice. It's near a goodwill and comic shop so it's in a fun location. Service: the service is ok. Employees aren't the most extraverted. They help answer your questions with a lot of effort. I asked about a particular product and they help point me to the right direction with specifics. Expectations: none really. I guess I expect to see strange new food. I've been to this place a number of times and it's always a trip. I love broadening my food options and this place help's introduce me to new bites! Improvements: some music, and more outgoing staff would be nice. Last words: if you're looking for groceries come here. If you're looking for cool new groceries to explore come here. If you're looking for a random snack try this place.
