Yolo's Café is such a cute little café filled with so much love! The owner is truly one of the hardest-working people I've ever met -- you can feel the care and passion in every cup. Just a gentle reminder to everyone: be kind and patient if your drink takes a little extra time -- it's made with heart. I was in the drive thru at Starbucks and spotted YOLO cafe right across the street. Since Starbucks is never my first choice considering it tastes like the back of a cow's mouth, I decided to give YOLO a shot. Walked in--simple setup with a friendly barista. Ordered the hojicha latte: smooth roasted green tea flavor, creamy without being too sweet, and no bad aftertaste. Drank it on the patio and enjoyed it. Skip Starbucks and head to Yolo's. To be honest, I found this spot from TikTok and I just wanted to help out and support local businesses and surprisingly it was worth the prize and it was good and worth the drive. Definitely coming back again. I usually don't like flavored Matcha because they would tend to taste syrup-y instead of the actual flavor, but the banana Matcha and the strawberry Matcha tasted like the actual fruit itself and the Matcha. read more

Such a comforting vibe! My friends and I came here on a rainy day, and it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. We ordered the matcha latte, strawberry yogurt smoothie, and the mini taiyaki (red bean, custard, and corn flavors). Everything was yummy! The person at the counter was incredibly thoughtful as well! Just got back from studying here, and WOW. If you love hole-in-the-wall, local spots with cozy and quiet atmospheres, definitely come here!! The owner is a young guy who is friendly with all his customers, the food is DELICIOUS and affordable, and the Korean music playlist had me googling every song. Seriously, I would go back just for their fluffy, carefully decorated, and not-too-sweet desserts. There's also a few tables with enough seating for somewhere around 15-25 people, so it's not crowded either. I don't know why it was so empty because the whole experience was wonderful!! I hope more attention is brought to this small shop, it deserves it :) Totally going here again soon! read more

This small cafe definitely deserves way more attention than it gets. The service was amazing, very sweet people who hold up a conversation when there's time to and ambiance was perfect. Music wasn't too loud and a great place for studying. but the real treasure of this place is what's on their menu. What we got are "Croffles" and "Matcha" and for what we got, the croffles were fresh and the matcha was rich. My boyfriend and I just started going to this place and we love it already. We went to pick up some food across the street and the name caught my attention haha. Once I checked out the menu, we knew we wanted croffles for dessert! Even thirty minutes to close, a fresh batch had just been made. We grabbed the Oreo one and i also got a banana matcha for work the next morning. The croffle was AMAZING. Crunchy outside, soft center, and marscapone topping?? Amazing. AMAZING. I already know I want to try the strawberry and blueberry ones next time. The banana matcha used real banana (you can tell!) and the little cookie stick and banana slices on top were a cute addition, I loved the presentation. We waited on a comfy couch while our order was made and it took less than five minutes. Can't wait to come back! read more

just wanted to say, if you're craving matcha or hojicha, then you gotta come hereee!! They know what they're doing when it comes to matcha. I would say this is a hidden gem and they really deserve to have more ppl recognize them! You can definitely taste the floral, slightly nutty, and creamy notes of the matcha. Hojicha kind of reminded me of a chocolate drink but with a slight twist if that makes sense. Both are very delicious and we'll be coming back! read more

Came across Yolo cafe out in Bellflower, and I wanted to try their matcha. The matcha was ridiculously delicious. My favorite was the cotton candy matcha. But that is on their secret menu. So don't forget to order that one. And pair it with a cruffle The owner invented that himself to croissant baked, like a Waffle topped whipped cream and strawberries. 10 out of 10 you need to try it. Came to work with some friends. Quiet. Clean. Fresh. Good amount of seating. Plugs available. Even has a massage chair and games for customers! Had a smoothie and it was DELICIOUS and the oreo croffle was tasty. The person working seems like the owner and he was so nice and friendly. He was the only one working and apologized for the wait, which wasn't even long especially for him having all the orders to do on his own. Definitely coming back! read more

The men working behind the counter were extremely friendly and helpful, also letting us know they were newly opened. So love being able to support a new local business in the area. I didn't look up the place entirely to see what they offered so was surprised when I saw the frozen yogurt machines (similar to Yogurland or other yogurt shops) lined up with various flavors. Everything was clean, and the machines led up to the counter to pay where the usual yogurt toppings are available for you. We did not plan to get yogurt for our visit but instead got the 15-piece mini pancakes and added ice cream to it. I believe you can get all the toppings on the pancakes but we only got strawberry syrup, strawberries & bananas, and cinnamon toast crunch. We were also able to sample some of the ice cream flavors some of which were unique. The strawberry cookies and cream and matcha (I forget if it was matcha strawberry). I understand that busy times can be stressful, but I don't understand why I was met with such negativity when I approached with a positive attitude and simply followed the pickup instructions. To make matters worse, one of the black gloves the cashier had been using while handling the cheese somehow ended up inside my bag with my shrimp. That was very concerning from a food safety standpoint. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Stopped by YOLO'S recently because I kept hearing about their matcha drinks, and honestly... I get the hype now. The shop is located in a smaller plaza with a bunch of neighboring businesses packed together -- there's everything from a Thai spot and barber shop to nail salons and other little storefronts nearby. Because of that, I can definitely see parking getting a little tricky during busier hours, but luckily I found a spot pretty close to the entrance. Inside was super cute and welcoming. Staff greeted me right away, and the menu was honestly overwhelming in the best way possible because there were SO many drink options. If you're into matcha specifically, this place is dangerous because they have an insane variety of flavors and combinations. I was especially surprised seeing things like grapefruit matcha on the menu. I ended up ordering the strawberry matcha, and while there was a short wait (around 5 minutes), it was 100% worth it. At the time, there was only one person making drinks and one person taking orders, but you could tell they genuinely cared about presentation and quality. Every drink that came out looked carefully crafted instead of rushed. When mine came out, it looked absolutely beautiful. The strawberries tasted fresh, and you could actually taste real strawberry chunks while drinking it. The matcha itself was smooth and flavorful, and they topped it with this strawberry puree foam that made the whole drink even better. They even added a little cookie onto one of the straws, which was such a cute touch. Honestly, it almost looked too pretty to drink. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're a matcha lover or just want something aesthetically pleasing that also tastes really good. I had a great experience at Yolo Cafe! I brought my younger son with me, and he absolutely loved the croffle, it was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, truly amazing. We also ordered a grapefruit ade, which was refreshingly sweet, and a dirty matcha that was rich and well-balanced. The drinks were just as impressive as the food. He just felt he was drinking straight horchata and no coffee and said it was a little too sweet. I got the vanilla iced latte with oat-milk, cold foam, and an extra shot and I gave it a 3/10. It was wayy too watery. Cold foam was good but the drink just tasted very watered down even with the extra shot I added. One a positive note, I would say the baristas were very nice and it was quick!
