Stopped by to give this place a try and it's definitely more of a grab and go spot since seating is limited. The service wasn't great. Only one worker who came off unfriendly and seemed annoyed when I changed my order mid way. When she read it back, her tone made it feel like I was bothering her. I love the coconut and matcha shaved ice here and would recommend it to others . It melts in my mouth and reminds me of dipping dots but better. First time trying this place and I will definitely be going back. I'm not sure what exactly goes into the yogurt drinks but the texture was kind of was a mix between a smoothie and a milkshake but not as thick. But it's also not like a drinkable yogurt that you would buy at the store- these are way better. (We ordered the Ube flavor.) I will definitely go back on a hot day and try another flavor. The favorite of the evening was the coconut snowflake shaved ice. It comes with condensed milk, vanilla, ice cream, a marshmallow and sprinkles. I have no idea how they get the texture to be like it is. It looks like it's a bunch of flakes, but then it all melts in your mouth as if it were regular ice cream. Stopped by today since I was near and I'm normally an hour away, so I figured I might as well try it now! They have a great little corner spot with a nice large sign, but there isn't much else going on in this shopping center. I walked in and there wasn't much of a greeting, more of an annoyance that I didn't immediately know what I wanted. I didn't plan on stopping by so I didn't look at the menu ahead of time. The menu is a bit confusing and the specialty drinks had no description whatsoever, so I just asked to get the Melon Melon smoothie but with purple rice. I picked the larger size since the small one looked tiny. It was equivalent to a medium size elsewhere, but still cost $9! When my drink was ready I got a "here" and she put it on the counter. No thank you at all. I liked the purple rice but I can get one closer to home without driving all the way here for lackluster service. There wasn't even any melon flavor either, just tasted like strawberry or even just plain yogurt. EDIT - Owner responded to my review. Good customer service means making customers feel welcome when they come in, maybe offering a smile, is that so much to ask? I appreciate that fresh fruits are used, but that should still mean I should taste the flavor that's being advertised. Unfortunately the rice wasn't fresh and the passion fruit they use is a syrup, no fresh fruit or even a puree. After hearing so much about this place in the Bay Area, I was excited that a location opened up here. We ordered the mango pomelo sago yogurt drink and the classic yomie's purple rice yogurt drink, and we both really enjoyed them! Yomie makes their yogurt fresh regularly, and these yogurt drinks are definitely healthier than boba shops. I was expecting it to me much more sour since previous yogurt drinks at other shops were a bit on the tart side, but these were surprisingly sweet and creamy. The purple rice and sago added a nice texture to both the drinks, and they were also not too sweet. We were both very full after finishing our drinks. I love these as a healthy alternative to my usual sweet drink craving! The shop is small but cute, the bathrooms are clean, and parking is very easy. Ordering was simple as well. The hardest part was choosing which drink to try since there were so many options! Our drinks came out very quickly, and they also have a points rewards system. I ran over on the last day of the Grand Opening promo of Buy One, Get One 50% Off. Restaurant is located on the far right end of the Safeway plaza on Granite Drive. I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago Yogurt and Red Bean Purple Rice Yogurt. I didn't know the drinks wouldn't keep in the fridge for long. The consistency of the smoothie changes when the blended ice melts, so smoothies are best consumed within 1 or 2 hours. "Enjoy the Best Taste In 1 Hour" is even written on the cups. I found it a bit difficult to puncture the thick plastic seal with my straw. The drink seals are cute and colorful with an anime little girl. Restaurant decor is girly, reminding me of an Asian little girl's stationary or a Sanrio store with its Engrish/Chinglish sayings. The yogurt drinks aren't very large, but one drink should suffice. Slurping down two within a few hours made me feel my blood sugar level rise even though the drinks themselves don't taste overly sugary. I probably should choose the Less Sugar option next time or limit to one drink! Menu items range from $6.50 to $7.25, but each add-on would cost an extra $1. For example, you could add either purple rice or oats to a fruit & yogurt smoothie. The Mango Pomelo Sago Yogurt is what you'd expect as a mango yogurt drink and should be a crowd favorite or a safe pick. The Red Bean Purple Rice Yogurt was uniquely flavored, reminding me of Chinese herbal dessert soups and Chinese fruits, like jujubes, dates, and longan. I loved that one and find myself craving it. The purple rice and oats are considered healthy with nutritional benefits. I was told that the purple rice comes from Taiwan. You don't have to worry about chewing the purple rice or oats because all the smoothie ingredients are blended. This restaurant is run by two sisters. When we walked in, there was no line and the ambiance was welcoming. Loved the interior design. As for the drinks, I saw there were a couple of new drinks and I just had to get the Matcha red bean. When you first drink it, it's a creamy texture with a bit of sour aftertaste, which is common since it's a yogurt base drink. Since it has that sourness, maybe it's Greek yogurt? Not quite sure haha. If you like yakult, try this place out. My partner loves yakult and he was hesitant at first since he wanted boba, but then he liked his drink (Purple Rice Yogurt). Thrilled and surprised to have found that a Yomie opened up! Last time we had it was a while ago down around Rowland Heights. It is a bit pricey but as far as I know this is the only place around from Woodland to Sacramento to Roseville to Rocklin that has the yogurt with purple rice. Also, when I order a large it makes me feel quite full due to the rice and yogurt. Tea% in Davis had a collab with another yogurt rice drink a year ago... and then the collab stopped... :( Anyways, can't go wrong with the classic flavor - Yomie's Purple Rice Yogurt. The rice has an excellent chewy texture, there's no icy bits in the yogurt drink... it's just smooth yogurt with chewy rice. So good. If you eat a meal beforehand and come for a treat after, the large may leave you feeling stuffed. :D Can't wait to come back and try the Hawthorn and other flavors. I walked in on 7.9.24, with the shop smelling very clean and the store was very pretty too! No odd scent like most boba, bingsu shops I been to. We were greeted by Nikki, who manages the store. She listened to us about our concerns with dairy sensitivity and she also helped with recommendations based on our interests with the drinks we wanted more details on. I was indecisive between dragon fruit yogurt drink to matcha and red bean or black sesame seed. I love how she carefully explained the ingredients and added how they use fresh fruit in their drinks. Their "Xmas Cloud" tasted amazing! I can definitely taste and chew the fresh cut strawberries, with the layered matcha at the top in the drink that my daughter ordered. It tasted slightly sweet and light with flavor, not too heavy but very balanced with coconut milk added and you cannot taste any coconut in it! But it made the drink very delicious and it had more of a water base consistency (not water down taste ). I ordered the matcha red bean with light sweetness. It had a thicker consistency. Almost smoothly texture but not too thick. The red beans balanced the flavor out but I think this was more of a fall/winter drink. I liked the "Xmas Cloud" drink more as it gave a spring to summer flavor and vibe! She did mention the dragon fruit drink one was more of a "tart" taste and the black sesame was more mellow type of drink so I definitely am curious to try that next time. Her customer service was immaculate and truly helpful through my first experience entering her shop. The difference is in the consistency of the red bean versus Mung bean. First time trying and I give it two thumbs up! Ingredients made fresh daily. No powders. It's sour yogurt if you've never had these type of drinks. Think of a Greek Yogurt smoothie. It does take a while for them to prepare a drink so please be patient. They are a new business and are in the process of hiring additional staff. I tried the Purple Rice Yogurt drink. Refreshing, delicious and nice texture. I also tried the Mango Pomelo Sago and that was delicious as well. Comparable to Yi-Fang and Ume which are not located in my area. The closest location is the Bay Area. If you're in the greater Sacramento area or are coming back from visiting Tahoe, I highly recommend that you try out this establishment!
