Honest review, this coffee shop is a total tourist trap. My fiancé and I ordered the usual; iced coffee (cold brew) and a cafe au lait. Both drinks tasted watered down and the cafe au lait tasted like warm milk with no coffee. Person at the front counter was a little rude when I asked what kind of oat milk they have, giving me a sassy response of planet oat. Yummm! I got the Crackerjack latte frozen and it was delicious! They have multiple "Specialty Lattes" that are super good. Also their "Specialty Lattes" can be served hot, iced, or frozen (a frappe essentially). The shop is cute and the staff are nice. Highly recommend! read more

At our holiday party we had a secret santa gift exchange. I was the recipient of a bag of Yonah ground wine infused coffee. I didnt know what to expect. I had never tried wine infused coffee before. I was very intrigued! I am a coffee lover so I was up for the new experience! This morning it was a crisp 44 degrees here in south florida and the first thing I HAVE to have upon getting up is my coffee. TODAY I decided to open my bag. I smelled it, I looked at its deep color and enjoyed its rich aroma! I had my first cup of wine infused Yonah coffee this morning and I am a fan! Its flavor is rich and bold and has a slight hint of a wine flavor. It wasnt overpowering and paired well with the coffee beans. I am very grateful I chose Jessica S's gift as my secret santa gift package! I would have never had this opportunity to try Yonah wine infused coffee from georgia! I will definitely try and stop by the shop in georgia on my next road trip. Had I known I would have stopped in september while i was up that way escaping this years hurricane threat we had. This is the only place I know of that imports Chick-fil-A on Fridays. That surprised me and made me smile. I was here the weekend before the eclipse and again for Hurricane Irma. Always busy, but not too long of wait. A little pricey but what isn't now days. Comparable to Starbucks I'd say.

Unfortunately, the online menu is very misleading. It does not distinguish the difference in menu for the two locations. This location offers a minimal food menu consisting of only a few breakfast sandwiches and a selection of pastries. The drink menu is mostly available but is missing a few items from the advertised online menu. Hopefully they can correct this issue to allow customers a true presentation of their coffee shop and its offerings as well as help customers prepare for their visit to Helen. Despite this shortcoming and discrepancy, the staff are kind and explain everything. They even went so far as to help us decide where to go for breakfast. read more

Spent a weekend in Helen and coffee was a must, so we stopped here and OMG...the coffee was amazing! Dare I say...better than Starbucks by a mile. We enjoyed our coffees so much that we went back on the way home even though it wasn't exactly on the way. The Sleepy Bear was my favorite - it's a nice blend that is not too sweet despite having honey in it. Prices are what you expect in a touristy area but the drinks were worth every penny. This used to be Hot and Sweet Coffee Company, but has since then become Yonah Coffee - I actually went in and stumbled upon them on their opening day. Their signs still showed the old shop name, but they're working on it. There was quite a bit of disorganization still, but I figured since it was opening morning, there were still a bit of kinks to figure out. There was a disorganized line, but it was great watching the baristas interact with the coffeehouse patrons. My friend and I each ordered a latte. There was no menu yet, so I just ordered my typical Starbucks order. The latte wasn't bad, but it definitely could have been a little smoother. It's been a couple months since Yonah Coffee's debut - I hope next time I'm back in Helen, I will see the 5 star difference (current overall average on Yelp as of 12/11/2016). read more

Doing some shopping in a hot day requires an iced cold coffee. Stopped at Yonah coffee. Yum!!! Would recommend this place to anyone who loves coffee. Loved this place. They were one of the friendliest places we visited in Helen. They seemed knowledgeable and proud of their coffee without feeling snobby. My husband had the latte the first day, I think it's one of their specialties and had a raspberry white chocolate taste. It's not an overly strong taste but very well done. Second day he had the iced latte, he's pretty picky and was happy that there was no burnt taste of the beans. The whipped cream they put on top looked and tasted like heavy whipped cream, I don't see that often. First day I had a pumpkin cream steamer (steamed milk, no coffee), so good! This isn't a pumpkin spice flavor it is pumpkin. It had a more mild taste than pumpkin spice and no spice flavor. I do like pumpkin spice lattes/steamers but they are usually over done in syrup and more spice than pumpkin. I enjoyed this because I could enjoy the pumpkin! Second day I had the Gingerbread Frappe, I rarely get frappes because they are usually overly sweet and you don't really taste coffee but I was in the mood for one this day.
