The portions are good and the food tastes good. I'm not not a fan of the home fries because they normally come out room temp and don't have much flavor. I was at a store in the same strip as this restaurant and decided to give them a try. I was greeted in a professional and welcoming manner, so that was a plus. The restaurant had tables, should you desire to stay there and eat. It was clean for the most part, from what I could tell, having left my glasses in the car. I asked a couple of questions and then placed my order. It didn't take long for my food to come out. The food smelled absolutely amazing. I got the food home and started tasting everything I purchased in the pictures below. Personally, I did not care for the vast majority of the meals. The fish & chicken were so hard and dry that they were like the Sahara Desert. It was flavorless, as were the vegetables. They tasted like they were fresh out of the can. I won't be going back there again, but if I did, it would only be for the mac & cheese, potato salad, and the roll. Oh my gosh! Why haven't heard of this place before now. The l went on for breakfast, take out. The food was delicious and served hot. They have large portions and the establishment is clean and immaculate, I went back for their dinner and after the pick two seafood, jumbo shrimp, fried chicken wings. As I waited, I heard consumers raving about the food. I then regretted that I didn't get additional items. lol. The family enjoyed the food. Again, the portion sizes didn't disappoint. Gah!! How can a breakfast place not have French toast, hot chocolate, green tea or apple/cranberry juice??? Only OJ which I can't drink. Really didn't want coffee today. Miss my NJ diners, I'm new to the area and was looking forward to trying a new local business. I try to go to local small businesses instead of chain places if I can help it. They serve their food on STYROFOAM plates and cups even to dine-in. NOT an eco-conscious place. I hate going to places where they use styrofoam, I tend to steer away from places like that. I picked up my order from this restaurant about 30-45 minutes before they closed. When I got home I the fish was overcooked and cold. The fries were too. I called the restaurant back to let them know to try to get it fixed an no one answered. I then called the following day multiple times again no answer. There is also no way to leave a voicemail. I then spoke with the manager Anna who said there's nothing she can do because the policy is you have to report something wrong by the next day however they were closed. She kept over talking me and said to call in the morning to talk to the owner, I then said ok what's their name so I know who to ask for. Anna then stated just call in the morning I asked what is the owners name that I need to talk to she said she has people to assist and hung up in my face. I then immediately called back to ask for the owners name the person who answered immediately put Anna back on the phone who was again rude and hung up. Ate here recently for the first time. It was... okay. I got chicken tenders and fries to go. The food was still hot when I got to my destination so that was a plus. The York Crossing Restaurant is just good food without pretension. It seems that almost every new breakfast restaurant has to be something (our eggs are the freest range of free range from chickens that are named after the members of Destiny's Child) in order to justify charging $15 for an omelet. The York Crossing Restaurant is none of that, and that's what makes it so great. This is a no-frills restaurant with counter order service, homestyle meals and great prices. Two people can get breakfast at this place for around $10. That's incredible when you think it's nearly 2017. I had the ham biscuit, pancakes, eggs, and home fries. The home fries were amazing but so was everything else. I could definitely see being a regular here. This diner is only open during the week so don't make any place to brunch here before hitting your Sunday Funday activities. This little place was recommended by a realtor friend of mine as a inexpensive nice spot to get a good breakfast. Not everything has to be a five star dining experience, right. Well, I can say that you get a big cup of coffee and that's about it. The menu is a bit confusing by having two specials named the exact same thing and not being the same. My coworkers introduced me to this place for lunch a long time ago. It's tucked into a shopping center behind the new Steele Creek Police Department and I wouldn't have known it was there. It's a simple no frills restaurant with excellent home style American cuisine. I don't bother with McDonald's or Burger King anymore, I am spoiled by the burgers here and I love the flounder plate as well, and if you want a good breakfast it's also a great place for that. There always seems to be something good on the specials menu, and the staff is very friendly It's a no frills look, but the place is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. Price is certainly reasonable especially compared to portion size. It's a decent sized place and was busy-busy around 1PM. First, let me state that the food here is wonderful. You get a lot for the price and it's seasoned very well. My only problem is they need a class in customer service. I've only been here twice and both times the service was bad. I tried speaking to the ladies that run the front counter and the drive thru but each one's attitude was extremely nasty. After being told 4 times my food was being boxed I was still waiting 20 minutes later. I ordered 2 flounder plates...one with fries and one with hushpuppies. When my order was finally bagged the young lady handed me the bag out the window and as I proceeded to ask a question the slide window was closed in my face. I blew the horn asking for assistance and watched the lady look at me, but refuse to come back. Needless to say I wont be back.
