Me & my husband split a combo boil 2lbs snow crab legs & 1 lb clams, we added extra corn and got a side of hush puppies. We chose the Cajun sauce and made it medium- delicious and a nice kick! They do provide bibs, gloves & wet napkins for easy cleanup. We had a young lady as our waitress, very friendly & took good care of us. The restaurant is nicely decorated & there is plenty of seating - they also offer a big round table for larger parties. Also, if you have kids - not to worry , there are chicken fingers on the menu along with fries. Overall, enjoyed our meal & will be back in the future.

He brought us Cheesecake with a firework candle for my wife's birthday! The steamer pot was delicious with 1lb of crab legs. Came with corn and potatos too! On par with most seafood boil places in regards to price. Nice being able to choose your flavor and how spicy you would like it! Lemon pepper wings were very good, the wings were HUGE! The hush puppies were okay, they were served with Butter. They were not the best part of the meal. Overall we would love to go back sometime! Great seafood boil! The combos seemed great for larger parties!

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.

They said it would cost around $33 when I called them before arriving. When I went to pay, the bill was almost $70 because they gave me jumbo sized crabs. Thus, the crabs cost $49 instead. Always being in the mood for some kind of good fried seafood sandwich I decided to give it a try. It was your typical no thrills place and I checked out the variety of fish, crab cakes and salads they had to offer. After speaking with the girl there and letting her know I was in the mood for soft shell crabs she smiled and brought out a fresh bunch of them that just came in this morning. I picked the 2 biggest and she made me a delicious old school soft shell crab sandwich on toast with tartar. Next time I come I will probably try some fried fish. The only thing negative I can say is the salads didn't look very fresh but I didn't eat them so can't comment on taste. The service was great. I will return to this place for sure. Great lunch or dinner spot for something casual.
