Chicken & Wild Mushroom Spring Rolls
    Dez I.

I was eager to try this place after it was recommended by 2 coworkers who stated it was amazing. Very nice area, walked in and ambiance was nice. We made a reservation a few days ahead so we got seated right away. Someone got us drinks is right away, our server came quickly after and gave us the specials. She took our appetizer and meal orders and was very friendly. We didn't wait but 10 mins and our soup and appetizers were there. We got the Chicken And Wild Mushroom Spring Rolls. They were fabulous! Ordered the filet and it was plated nicely and cooked to perfection. After we splurged for a blueberry white chocolate bread pudding which was so big we shared it. Everything was perfect. From the atmosphere, the live pianist, to the service. My new favorite place. I will definitely come back!

Food is so good here. The chicken was super tender and moist. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. My husband loved the twice baked potato. We made a reservation for 5:30 and there was literally no one in there so it made the experience super private and personal. I also ordered the famous baklava cheese cake. It was so good. Birthday dinner was perfect

I used to go here quite a bit and recently have been a few times. I've noticed changes since the past years, they have a focus on the good looking picture worthy which I appreciate. They give you a personal feeling, the servers are amazing and kind. The baklava with ice cream is soooooooo good. I'll be back just for that. The butter leaf salad is my favorite, with extra dressing. Short ribs, the fish specials and the sandwiches are great. I like the fried calamari appetizer. For lunch the price point for the amount of food you get it's not too expensive. Dinner is more pricey but a great date night, business parties (they have rooms for parties) and a fun experience on the nights they have live music. Food wise the only thing I didn't like was the pork chop. It was undercooked looking, too thick and weird. Based on other reviews they have a few menu items they should remove or fix. I had a few happily ever after drinks that were both beautiful and delicious!

I celebrated my birthday here with two of my closest girlfriends. We had the most exceptional server, Cassie. She treated me like a princess throughout dinner service. She recommended drink options and overall went above and beyond. The food was delectable. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection! I had the lamb shank that melted off the bone and was extremely flavorful. The ambience of the establishment was dimly lit, as dinner service should be... the band was a nice touch for weekend patrons. I had an amazing night with good food, friends, & cocktails. A perfect birthday!

Came here as part of a large group and had our meal coursed throughout the night. I tried the bruschetta, the beet salad, the salmon plate, and a drink. The bruschetta was nothing special and was a little on the bland side. The beet salad had an odd texture because it was shredded but it was also very fresh. The cheese bruschetta that came with it was delicious. The salmon was also a little on the bland side, but it was topped with some spices that I found a bit more on the jarring side. The veggies and mashed potatoes were good though. The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious and topped with a chocolate drizzle. The server was attentive and helpful, especially for our large group. The mains here are around the $40-70 range.

The palms is a Fresno classic I had been wanting to try for some time and kept forgetting about, now that I've gone I don't think I'm dying to go back I felt as though the experience was just ehh. Our bartender/server was so sweet and very attentive, no complaints there. The food was just ehh. I had the salmon. I feel like there's so many more new restaurants giving the older ones some major competition. I appreciate the atmosphere for what it is but do think it could use some updating. Overall, the experience wasn't bad but I felt as though there are other places I'm more interested in.

If I could give this a more accurate rating, it would be closer to 3 1/2 stars. The staff was great and it was easy to set up this reservation for our group of 13. However, the food didn't hold up to the fine dining standards. We started with drinks and appetizers, which were very good. We did crab cakes (which was a special), calamari and bruschetta. However, when we got to the entrees, that's where it went downhill. Five of our group ordered the filet and two the ribeye. Of the seven, 4 weren't cooked correctly, two under and two severely over. The two family members that asked for medium rare received well done. My stepson ordered chicken and quietly today my wife late last night that his was undercooked and he wasn't feeling very good. I got the boneless pork chops which were cooked correctly and had great flavor, but weren't visually appealing. My mom ordered their special, which was the Petrale sole with shrimp and that was good. We finished it off with the bread pudding and baklava, which were both excellent. As for the beef, our server Sara did notice my brother having an issue with the well done ribeye and offered to fire up another, but because this was my mom's first birthday after my dad's passing, he declined just so the evening could go smoothly. All in all, there were good and bad things, but when you pay over $60 for a steak, you expect them to be cooked correctly.

I thought the appetizers were honestly better than my main meal. I forgot what I got but the plating is great, just not a great taste. I would reccomend the babaganoush though! Interior is also pretty as well

The best fine dining experienced in the valley town of Fresno. Celebrated my 12th year anniversary and Valentine's day at the same time. Hats off to our excellent server(I don't want to spell her name coz I might spell it wrong, I'm sorry) but she is super amazing and very accommodating. She got our order correct but the person that brings out the food send my husband a wrong order but as soon as she found out she fixed the situation right away. She turned that situation around and compliment us with drinks and dessert! The house made special Baklava was the best one we've tasted so far! I will for sure come back to the restaurant and ask for her again. The place was spectacular I love the middle section and the bar area. This place is perfect for intimate romantic dinner. Food was superb!

What an amazing time we had at the beautiful Palms !!!! Our waitress, Sassy Cassie provided top quality service and made us feel part of the family, even with two large parties going on and a full house of customers, all the staff work in unison, truly a well prepared establishment. When the food arrived, it was well prepared and delicious. Thank you for making a memorable birthday. A special thank you to the pianist who was supplying the vocals and playing Celebration, everyone was grooving to the music, epic time.

I had been wanting to try The Palms and finally went for lunch on Friday with some co-workers. We had such a wonderful experience! Our server, Tvin, had amazing recommendations so we took her advice on what to try. We tried some appetizers; Hummus and egg rolls, and both were delicious! The portions are big so plenty for sharing. For main entrees, we got the Panko Chicken, Chicken Club Sandwich, and Halibut Tacos. Everyone enjoyed their entrees but we had to save room for dessert. Dessert exceeded my expectations by far! The presentation was beautiful and the flavor delicious. We had the Bread Pudding and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Highly recommend everyone trying the dessert! Our server was amazing and fully attentive with refills and checking on us. We had a great time and definitely want to go back!

    Pork chop
    Rebekah M.

First off, the place was beautiful and my server was amazing and attentive. They were lacking in the most important part. The food. I got the pork chop which wasn't even a chop it was like a little roast. It wasn't flavored well at all. The potatoes were bland and almost didn't even taste like real potatoes which is very concerning for a restaurant like this. I told my friend I cook my pork so much better and she agreed immediately. My friends got the sirloin and the chicken and we haven't talked about it yet since we were at an event but they didn't eat much which leads me to believe they weren't that great. I did like the appetizers especially the lentil balls. Honestly they are worried about looks more than taste here and taste should be way more important especially for the price.

I love Heirloom. This place is definitely the gem of Fresno! It's not a fancy, high-end restaurant,…read morebut they absolutely know how to plate and make food that keeps their customer come back for more. Their dishes have their own unique twist, and while they may not always follow the traditional recipe, everything is incredibly flavorful and statisfying. The flavors are simple, approachable, and easy to enjoy. Making it a spot that almost everyone would love. They mainly focus on the new American table. A little fusion of some other ethnicity food here. They mainly focus on their limited menu and always wing it everytime. The consistency is always on point. I love their fresh farm to table ingredients. Their plate is super affordable and beautiful. AMBIANCE :: This place is always pack. The line are always long but it does move up pretty quick too. Indoor is always pack and stuff. They do have a large patio too. I wouldn't really recommend sitting out in the patio during the hottest time of the day but it's not that bad too. They do have mist and coolers outside. Artificial leaves covering up the place cools it down a lot too. The PROS for dinning in the patio is the fresh air. SERVICE : Is great. With the high volume of guest and crowed it is. They are so patient and friendly. RATE : 5/5 PLATES :: If you're undecided and wanted a little bit of everything. I recommend choosing a plate. You get a little bit of everything. Ill say everything taste generic but so good too. WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : SHRIMP W/ GARLIC BUTTER : Their garlic butter shrimp is so buttery. It's slightly seasoned and salted. RATE : 5/5 WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : SALMON W/ TZATZIKI SAUCE : I love their soft salmon with a lightly crispy crust. Llightly seasoned. It's not fishy and gamey at all. I love their tzatziki sauce and it paired so well with the lemon juice too. RATE : 5/5 WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : ANCHO CRUSTED PRIME TRI TIP : Nicely seasoned and salted. It's always come out medium rare, tender and juicy. RATE : 5/5 NOTE :If you like medium rare pieces of beef. Go for their tri tip. If you wanted more cook go for their ribeye. The cons about their ribeye is that they are not consistent. You can ask to be remade but it does take them awhile to cook it too. SIDES : TEPPANYAKI FRIED RICE W/ BACON : I love their bacon teppanyaki rice. It's probably a must have everytime you go there. I love their sweet sauce on top of the rice. It's a kids favorite choice too. The sodium level is perfect. Usually bacon would overly salted it but this fried rice is perfect. RATE : 5/5 SIDES : RIGATONI W/ SAUSAGE, PECORINO : Straight up generic boiled pasta with sour tomato sauce and sausage. It's so simple but its ok. I'll say this could be kids top 2nd favorite side dish. RATE : 4/5 FOUNTAIN DRINKS :: I love their unique fountain drinks. It's mainly focus on Mexican fountain drinks. OVERALL :: Sometimes the best food isnt about being authentic. It's about being delicious, the art, and this restaurant definetly delivers. I can already see myself coming back for more!

When making the reservation, i made a note that it was our anniversary! When we arrived and checked in, the hostess acknowledged our anniversary, as did our server! Very hospitable that they acknowledged it, as some other places don't. The food has been great both times and the portions are generous! Some high end places get a little skimpy, especially with the sides. Not here! This time around, I ordered the Prime Rib, got the whipped potatoes and substituted the Brussels sprouts. Both were generous portions. Also love the added touch that they'll give you fresh horseradish to go along with the horseradish cream for a little extra kick. My wife had the Ribeye, which we've both ordered before, and it's delicious. She ordered the cashew green beans, but they were very saucy and some were burnt. When brought up to the server, she said she would have the kitchen make her a fresh ordered without hesitation. Within a few minutes, a nice sized portion of fresh Cashew Green Beans arrived! The Wedge Salad is also delicious and generously portioned. It could actually be a meal for someone, if so inclined. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and private. We've sat inside and on the patio, and actually preferred the patio seating! I can't say enough about the hospitality of the staff though. There's a gentleman who is either the lead host or a manager, that's been there both times. He takes a personal interest in the customers and makes sure to visit each table, which you don't often see. As we were walking out, he was also walking out behind us. Anyways, with regards to the food, my partner and I got some spicy baked mussels to share, with a ribeye steak and lamb chops for entrees. The mussels were pretty underwhelming - I felt that it was just spicy for the sake of being spicy and didn't offer much in terms of flavor. With the entrees, we asked for the lamb chops to be cooked medium but they came rare, whereas the steak did come in medium rare as ordered. The lamb chops were okay but the steak was extremely salty and a bit too charred; I had to wash down my bites with water. With both entrees we were given a choice of either rice pilaf or garlic baked potatoes. The rice pilaf legit tasted like elementary school lunch rice (the ones with the teriyaki meat patties if you recall the 2000s, iykyk). The potatoes were alright, not bad but not great. Also wanted to note that both dishes came with like 2-3 tiny cherry tomatoes which is barely anything and would last you at most a couple of bites. Last thing I wanted to note is pricing. The lamb chops were in the upper $30s and the steak was $59, which pretty overpriced imo for whay is presented. Of course, that's also on me for trying to go for a "16 oz" steak (which I kinda doubt it was) vs. their pastas or other popular dishes but I think it's worth pointing out. All in all, I really think you can get much better bang for your buck at other semi-fancy/fancy places such as LimeLite or Willow Osteria to name a couple of examples. I would give this a 1 but the service was admittedly quite solid. Sadly, I don't think we'll come back.
