Wow what a gem we have here in Fort Mill. I've been twice so far and can't wait to go again - once for dine in and once for carry out. Both times my order was exactly as requested and delicious both times. Last time I had a carry out for 8 and the order was packed perfectly. When I dined in the service was so good I never waited for anything. Seating could be an issue for large parties so call ahead. It's a popular place so expect a wait during peak hours. Theres an online checkin but I think you scan at the restaurant. I'm not sure. I had the spicy garlic the first time, then the Kaaraage curry the second. What a gem to have in Ft. Mill. This place is adorable with the honeycomb seating. Very instagram-worthy. The staff is very friendly. The only negative is that they do not estimate the wait time properly. They told us our wait would be 30-40 min. However, we waited over 50 min. They have a nifty process though. You give your phone number and they text you a link to watch your place in line. It keeps track of your wait time and the time of everyone in front of and behind you. We figured we were in a bit of trouble seeing we were #15 on the list and the #1 spot had been waiting 55 min. We came on a Friday at 7pm. There aren't many tables; the place is small. We ordered the pork gyoza as an appetizer. I guess it is entered electronically on her tablet to the kitchen, because I kid you not, as soon as she stepped away from taking our order, the appetizer was on our table. It was very good. My husband got the soy garlic chicken strips for dinner, but wasn't that impressed. It did not come with any side, so in the middle of eating he called the waitress over and asked for white rice to go with it. He complained a bit that Bon Chon's chicken is alot better than Yoshi Ramen because of the flavor of the sauce and crispiness. I got the house spicy garlic pork ramen ($16) @ a spice level #3. Do not do this ! Lol. I pride myself in liking spicy food, but Level 3 was way too spicy for me. I managed to eat half the bowl, but it was a struggle. I told my husband "This is how you build your heat tolerance." Haha. I ordered a bottle of lychee soda ($3.50), which was interesting but didn't taste much different than my husband's can of Sprite ($2.50). We noticed they had soju for $16... have no idea what that is, but it's alcoholic. They had 3 Japanese beers, Blue Moon, Corona and several flavors of tea. They do not offer any dessert, which is a bit disappointing. We ended up getting ice cream nearby somewhere else. I would come back and try the Ramen again at a normal spice level. I wish they would let you use half stars on Yelp, I would have given 4 1/2 stars. I just didn't feel like the food was 5 STAR. Our service was amazing, the place was clean and we had no wait when we went. We got the Ramen and the fried Korean style chicken wings with soy garlic sauce. we hoped to share the ramen with our daughter, but they use a lot of black pepper, and she won't eat spicy food yet. The broth, the egg and the meat were cooked perfectly. As far as flavor, I personally prefer Sheng Ramen. This place has the best Ramen in Tega Cay. They were packed on a Monday night but we were able to be seated in the beehive. The waiter was incredibly nice. He gave us enough time to read the menu and checked on us a few times. We received our food very quickly. Everything we had was really good! Tasty ramen with flavorful broth and really tender meat. The chicken in my ramen melted in my mouth. The inside of the restaurant is really fun with the beehive shaped seating on one wall. The stairs are a little steep but it was a fun experience. My sister and I are both 5'2". If you're over 5'8" you will probably be too tall to sit in the hives comfortably because the wall behind your head angles inward. read more

Nestled in a small shopping center, Yoshi Ramen was a pleasant little surprise. The decor is so cute, with Japanese style booth seating. Totally photo worthy! We were greeted immediately and added to the waitlist, which was only about a 10-minute wait for 2 people. This is a cute date spot because they have quite a few 2-seater honeycomb booths. Keep in mind that they cannot accommodate parties larger than 5, maybe 6, from what I saw. The house spicy garlic ramen was so good and hit the spot. I got level 1 spice, which wasn't overpowering but I still felt the spice. Their agedashi tofu was absolutely delicious - perfectly umami. I would like to try more menu items in the future! I also think that the pricing was great for the value - a huge factor that will keep me coming back in the future as many ramen shops are overpriced in the Charlotte area. I have been to Yoshi a few times and each time, the service and food have been excellent. I have tried many dishes such as the fried rice, Korean wings, Takoyaki, shrimp lollipops and ramen. This particular visit we decided on ramen, tea and my daughter wanted truffle fries. The truffle fries weren't anything to write home about but I also wouldn't expect them to be in an Asian restaurant. My daughter had the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen and I had the Spicy Garlic Ramen. She said that was her ramen was really good but the spicy garlic is chef's kiss. The broth is on the thicker side, right level of spice and so flavorful. The ramen is so filling and took me until the next day to get through but was even better tasting the next day. I have been thinking about this ramen since and will be going this week. The Karaage curry ramen. My wife was a big fan of this bowl, good spice but not overbearing. Eggs cooked perfectly. Her only complaint was the karaage, the pieces were too big, requiring multiple bites for each piece. Otherwise the taste was quite good. Highly recommended. I had the Tonkotsu, didn't get a picture as no one seems to care for them. Then again they are a little bland as I do protein only, so not a lot of color. The broth was nice and rich and almost the perfect amount of sticky. I felt the same about the egg, perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The chashu was hands down the star of the show, sliced just thin enough but not too thin, fatty, well marinated, with just the right amount of char. I'd say out of the Charlotte area ramen spots, I've got a new favorite. Also the decor and layout was very unique and kitchey, nice touch. read more

Yoshi has only been opened a few weeks, but word of mouth is spreading quickly and I understand why. We ate there last Saturday and got to the restaurant about 4:50. By the time we ordered, there was a line out the door. Once you taste the food, you understand why. The spicy garlic ramen was one of the most flavorful and tasty ramen bowls I've had. The broth is rich and smooth and the perfect balance of heat and flavor. You will be breathing garlic for awhile afterwards so beware! My wife had the Tokyo ramen and the chicken based broth was amazing. The food is fantastic and the decor is cool too. We sat "upstairs" in a honeycomb booth and the service was attentive and efficient. They don't yet have their liquor license so we stuck to water, but the waiter gave great descriptions of the ramen bowls and explained a couple other options we were considering. First off. It's so pretty inside! I love the honeycomb vibe. The staff are all so sweet and wonderful! I'm really picky about my kimchi but they make some amazing kimchi!
