It was our grandma's birthday and thought of bringing her somewhere but plans changed. Instead of eating out, we just ordered from here as a takeout. It was a cute little place and a nice bar when I picked up the food. It was just starting to get busy. The service was fast and the staff were nice. We got the Ramen, Agedashi tofu, beef teriyaki plate, chicken teriyaki plate, chicken karraage and hotel California roll. I forgot to take pictures. Sorry. I tasted everything so how long how they were. The beef teriyaki plate and Hotel California roll were good. But they could improve on the teriyaki for me. They need to put more sauce. My husband got the chicken teriyaki and that's what he said lol The Ramen was also good. I love their to go bowl, cause the broth was actually separated from the noodles. There was a divider, and it was my first time seeing this time of bowl for takeout . It's really a brilliant idea. However, the karaage was too dry for me. They looked and tasted overcooked. Anyways, the price is reasonable and the parking is good as well. Plenty of space. 3.5 stars for me.
Love having a spot where I can get a solid chirashi don. The sashimi slices were fresh and literally melted in the mouth. The ratio of sashimi to sushi rice is also very good. Service was also on point, and my food came out with little to no wait. Plenty of parking around the restaurant, and I literally didn't have to wait for a parking spot. Definitely would go back!
My new favorite sushi spot! If you're a salmon lover like me they have so many good options for you!! My favorite had to be either the mango crunch roll or the salmon skin roll. Next time I will be trying that salmon lovers roll! I also really liked their garlic edamame, it was almost buttery. I also really appreciated the servers there since they provided great service. And honestly really talking to get to know you. Inside is a little small so I don't recommend coming in with a party of 6+. But overall one of my new favorite sushi spots!
I could honestly eat sushi for every meal, and Yoshi Sushi in Milpitas makes that way too easy. Their late‑night happy hour is a daily temptation -- fresh cuts, generous portions, and flavors that hit every time. Everything comes out tasting clean, bright, and delicious, and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Whether it's a quick bite or a full spread, this spot never disappoints. A solid go‑to for late‑night sushi cravings.
This was recommended by a friend and I really liked it Menu is what you expect for a standard Bay area sushi place. The lunch special sushi are a great value for the basics. Did not try bento but it looked good. Exotic roll section was solid and diverse, lots of avocado inclusion as well which was unique Service was fast and direct. In some areas, you can see them actually making the sushi Ambiance is nice. Restaurant is well designed with chefs in the center, bar space on one side and tables on the other. Tables probably can't take over 6 people

Kinda strange to order online when you're sitting at a table but it works. It was pretty yummy we tried quite a few rolls. I don't remember which was which but they were all pretty good. Pricing was good it was very clean especially the bathrooms. Just wish the fresh were a little colder maybe or more fresh? But still great
I haven't been inside this restaurant myself, but I've ordered from them several times on DoorDash. I tried their Lion King Roll and Hotel California Roll, and both were absolutely delicious. Even though takeout doesn't have the same freshness as dining in, the sashimi was still tender, flavorful, and free of any fishy taste. The salmon's rich flavor combined with the chewy sushi rice completely satisfied my hunger for the whole day. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey, but the food is truly tasty and worth recommending! 我本人沒有進去過這家店，但是我連續幾次點了他們家的DoorDash，我嘗試了他們家的Lion King Roll和Hotel California Roll都非常的好吃，即便外帶已經沒有堂食的新鮮，但是生魚片依舊是非常的香嫩沒有腥味，加上鮭魚的香味，搭配壽司米飯Q彈，讓我一整天的飢餓都能從中滿足。唯一缺點是有一點貴，但是料理是真的好吃，值得推薦！
Small place to dine in, but the service is fast and the sushi is delicious. It seemed pretty busy when i arrived with no reservation. I must have waited about 5 minutes or less for a booth table. You order by scanning a barcode on the table. I like this because you order the food yourself and the only wait is for the food to arrive. Then once you're done eating, you pay by scanning the barcode again or you can ask someone working there to bring you the bill. The sushi was very delicious. I finished two sushi rolls, could have went for a third roll, but it was getting late. I posted below my two favorite rolls. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you love sushi!
Came in since it was close to our hotel, was a rainy night and didn't want to drive too far. Was seated quickly and our drink order taken. You scan the QR code and can order right in the app or order from the waiter. Since we were on 1 bill we decided it would be easier to order from the waiter than passing the phone around to order. We ordered 3 apps, baked mussels, shrimp tempura and chicken karaage. Waiter came back and took our sushi order, I had the sashimi special and the 49er roll. And that's where things went downhill. My colleagues ordered a roll each. We got the sashimi and the 2 rolls, then the 49er roll. He explained the apps were running behind because they had a large order from a delivery app. We were almost done with the sushi when the mussels came out, and completely done by the time the other 2 apps came out. Service was just ok, after the food came out was hard to get anyone's attention, would buzz right by while we sat with empty cups waiting for tea. Food was ok, 49er roll and shrimp tempura were stars of the show. Small inside with about 10 tables and a decent size sushi counter. Not bad but probably wouldn't go back.
They put Berna in a corner and forgot about her. We are regulars at this place and were greeted nicely as we walked in. There was another group waiting before us so my husband and I placed our name on the waiting list. There was a two top open, but the server knew I would not be able to sit on the high chair since I am on a wheelchair. So we waited. We saw a booth getting cleaned and we got our hopes up! Twenty minutes of waiting and I can finally order my favorite Yoshi Special roll! A group of three just walked in, surely they would have to wait. But I was so, so wrong. We were on the other side of the sushi bar so my wheelchair would be out of the way, but I guess we were also out of sight. The newly arrived party was called first. The list was not checked. Before we left, my husband told the waiter to take our name off the list because our table was given away. The waiter just shrugged. No cares. No apologies. This is so disappointing as this is our regular sushi spot.

The Unagi don was bomb! I was very full. The chicken sesame .... (Forgot the full name of it) was alright. I tasted 5 spice and 5 spice makes me want to . If it wasn't 5 spice, there's an ingredient in it that tastes similar to it. I wouldn't order that again. The service was quick. The spot was chill and quiet even though there were people sitting surrounding us. read more
Ordered for pickup. It said 20-30 minutes, so we arrived at the 30 minute mark. They informed me they didn't have the skewers that we had ordered. That happens. The lady said our order would be 5-6 minutes and told us to wait outside so we sat on the bench. This was at 5:30 pm. Fast forward to 6:12 and our order was finally ready to go. Four pickups had come and gone during our tenure on that bench and I had been in twice to beseech the lady to expedite our order (being that we had ordered pretty much before anyone in the restaurant) to no avail. Upon getting home, the rolls were nice, but the rice in my son's side of rice was just hard. The sashimi was decent, but two pieces I couldn't identify and were super tough. I'd like to chalk a lot of this up to just being new, but they need to get their timing and quality worked on. read more
I remember this place being something else awhile back.. and even then, it wasn't something that got my attention. After hanging out with some friends last Friday, one had suggested checking out this place because it was new and was doing some grand opening specials. While I was not too hungry myself, my significant other was starving. we ended up ordering some Agedashi Tofu, the Baked Scallop Roll, and the Hotel California Roll. While much less food than I would normally eat, we were there to check the place out and get ourselves satisfied. The Agedashi Tofu was very light tasting.. while other places usually has a darker, soy sauce based sauce with it.. the dashi was light.. both in color and flavor. The Hotel California roll was good.. fresh tasting and subtle sweetness. The baked scallop roll was the same.. the crab salad mixture used in the rolls are very creamy without much texture, and had subtle hints of sweetness.. assuming possibly from using Kewpie or something similar. Overall, a nice pleasant experience. Found out that Yoshi's is a sister restaurant to V Sushi not too far away... which, to be honest... wasn't too impressed with them.. Hopefully Yoshi's continues to deliver good food for the future. read more
A group of us three went there around 8pm, and there's no wait when we got there, but ppl were lining up around 8:30pm, including takeout orders. The rolls taste pretty good, the sushi pieces taste fresh, with really reasonable price. Also just realized they have happy hour from 9pm to 11pm. The food was okay, but the entire experience was just tragic. The service is practically non existent besides seating and bringing the food. Furthermore, they highlight a high tip percentage during checkout.... The ambiance is rather dead as well, there is no music, no energy from the staff and just a flashing television in the back. The chicken teriyaki lunch plate almost seemed premade because almost everything tasted warm at best aside from the gyoza that had a bit of crunch. The hamachi sashimi was the only redeeming item. Review post Covid. Location: Located off Calaveras Blvd right side of Safeway. Atmosphere: Noise was moderate with light music being played in the background. Service: We went on a random Sunday around 12:30pm. We were greeted with a warm smile and quickly seated. As we were seated a flurry of patrons started filling up the empty tables and chairs. During this visit we opted for a standard low table and chair even though there were options to eat at a high bar table or at the sushi bar itself. Food: The variety of selection was descent and a great place for beginners. This is also one of the few sushi spots that regularly has Uni (sea urchins) available. The smoked sashimi combination was pretty awesome. The slices were cut thick and clean. The presentation of the Sashimi was done really well with a smoke some holding the smoke until we open the dome revealing the sashimi. We ordered three rolls and the flavors were okay. It wasn't bad but it wasn't rememberable enough for me to review it. We also order the Scorpion Roll which was just ordered for the the pics. The Hotel California roll had a thin lemon slice on top of the roll which made the whole thing taste like I was eating Ceviche. Price: Pricing was fair, and I do plan on coming back to try their lunch specials. Final words: this place is worth a try. read more
My friend and I came by on a Sunday evening and we were seated immediately. Service was speedy and food came out quickly! We shared the mango crunch roll, hotel california roll, and the salmon teriyaki entree plate. Mango crunch roll was SO DELICIOUS! We both agreed that it was one of the best mango crunch rolls we've had. It was extremely refreshing, sweet, and the mango was juicy and complemented the salmon so well! The hotel california was good as well, although didn't stand out to us as much as the mango crunch roll. The salmon teriyaki entree was just ok, it came with miso soup, salad, 2 orange slices, and brown rice. The bento boxes I usually have at other spots always come with white rice which I prefer - the brown rice was hardened and some grains were too crunchy to chew. I did ask if the brown rice could be switched out for white rice but they said it'd be sushi rice. Would probably stick with just their sushi rolls instead for next time. Overall good spot for some delicious, affordable sushi rolls and open late too! read more

The food and deals were great here! Happy hour is the best time to go here and I enjoyed the food so much! They give a lot of chicken karaage (picture is shown after we ate a few). The service is quick and they are very nice. Over all enjoyed all the vibes of eating here. Would definitely go back when I am feeling like sushi! (Which is a lot) read more

First time here the food was really good. The skin was nice and crispy on the salmon. I ordered some hot tea and they brought me over a nice tall cup of hot tea so I really appreciated that because I didn't have to ask for refills and the cup kept the tea hot without burning my fingers. The hubby ordered a spicy tuna roll, and he did like it even though it's one of the more simpler rolls, he did like the taste and the spiciness was good. I just ordered the Tonkatsu lunch plate via DoorDash deliver and it was HORRIBLE! The pork cutlet clearly wasn't fresh. It must be leftover from previous night and re-fried again. Never would I order from this restaurant again! read more

Finally got a chance to try Yoshi Sushi after hearing one of our Yelp friends talk about it non-stop, needless to say, my expectations were through the roof. We actually decided to come here for said friend's bday and it was clear that she was a regular as the waitstaff knew her and even hooked us up with free drinks and cake! We ordered the sashimi deluxe platter as well as several rolls including their signature Lion King roll and the Mango Crunch. The fish was fresh and each roll was actually quite packed with content instead of rice. I also quite appreciated the friendly staff and casual atmosphere. Apparently if you come even later in the evening (I think 10PM?), there's actually a happy hour! I think this would've made the rolls even more worth it. It does remind me of MJ Sushi in Palo Alto - another late night spot that offers good rolls at a good price. I will be back to try their late night happy hour! read more

Eh. Decided to come here for dinner one night since it's their grand opening. Other sushi places in the area either close early or are way too busy to accommodate. One of the hot teas we ordered came cold. So we asked the server to replace it and when it came back around to the table it just looked like hot water with a few tea leaves. Didn't have any taste. The calamari came in really big pieces, which I personally don't like my appetizer looking like an entree, and the breading on it wasn't that good. For our sushi we ordered the lion king, giants roll, and dragon roll. Thankfully the rolls made up for the cold tea and subpar calamari. I probably won't be coming back to dine in. The 20% discount for their grand opening was nice tho. Overall, Yoshi's will probably be my late night sushi take out place. Oh and their bathrooms weren't working properly. A little strange for a place that just opened. read more

Cozy places with sakura tree decoration on the wall, they have bar seats along with booths which very comfortable. Staff are helpful, friendly with quick service. We came around 2pm on weekdays and the restaurant not so busy, they often lunch menu with good combo and reasonable price with the option of 2 or 3 different types of rolls. We ordered a combo of 3 and deep fried tuna rolls, and miso soup, they are very flavorful with sauce, the fish are fresh and tasty read more

I ordered California roll, Dinosaur roll, chicken udon and strawberry ice cream. My favorite one is California roll. I eat with one bite and it has many flavors inside it. I also like the Dinosaur roll, it has a sauce coming with the roll. It's so rich in tasting. read more

Delicious rolls, takoyaki, and udon! As someone who has recently been to Japan, I would still eat Yoshi Sushi rolls (it's a compliment.) I recommend the Dinosaur Roll and Lion King Rolls. Their Mango Crunch Roll is also really good! If you also recently came back from a trip to Japan and are missing sushi rolls, I recommend giving Yoshi Sushi a try! read more
Great new sushi place with equally great lunch specials. While I still prefer Sen Dai, I like to dine in at Yoshi Sushi when I'm running errands at the Milpitas Town Center. I'm glad I gave this restaurant another chance this month as their food now matches their customer service :) read more

I definitely want to revisit this sushi restaurant! This has been some of the best sushi I've had, and their menu is extensive and enticing! They have multiple options of sushi rolls without sauces, and they is so convenient for people with allergies and intolerances. I also want to praise this restaurant for providing great visuals with many of their rolls on the menu. This helps determine whether sushi rolls have sauces at a quick glance. I ordered the 49er roll, which was sushi with salmon and lemon on top. it included seaweed, imitation crab, and avocado inside. The lemon added a zesty kick to each bite, and the imitation crab and avocado were filling and creamy. We did have to wait for a noticeable time for our food, possibly because we arrived in the middle of lunch hour. There was a bit of confusion as well because the server bringing out the food called one of the rolls a different roll from what we ordered, so we believed we were given one of the wrong order, but after calling over another waiter, he clarified that that roll was the one we ordered and probably just miscalled when it was brought out. It does seem to get pretty crowded and there is a bit of the wait during peak lunch hour time, so it wouldn't hurt to go a little bit earlier than when you want to eat. Overall, the experience was pleasant and the food and service were memorable. read more

We came here for a late night dinner and our host Neeshi was awesome with great sense of humor. We ordered the Sashimi Special, Vege Tempura and Crunchy Ca. Roll... and they were good quality. We will definitely come back here again. However, I hope the owner sees this review and consider changing the interior lighting from daylight to warm white. It feels like I'm eating at a hospital cafeteria. Just my two cents read more

GREAT OPTION FOR LATE NIGHT SUSHI!! I came here the other day and had not much expectation for late night sushi. But man the quality is really good. I ordered salmon and hamachi nigiris, both were really fresh. The mango crunch and hotel California rolls were incredibly good!! They have a good happy hour and great service too! It's located deep in this plaza but there's plenty of parking. The inside is pretty new too. I'll definitely come back if I'm craving late night sushi. read more
