I ordered the Pandan Milk Drink ($5.99 - 50% Sweetness - Regular Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 80 cents). It arrived sugary with a strong vanilla, nut flavor. Unfortunately, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted funky. Some pearls had the flavor of soap. "Gross!!" I arrived at YOTEA (Rosemead) on Monday (around 12:16PM). Parking is simple if familiar with the area. There's a rear parking garage for customers. Staff is unmemorable and awkward. When I mentioned they mixed old and new menus together which displayed incorrect prices, Staff seemed amused and let them stay mixed. Staff avoided customer interaction whenever possible. The drink took two minutes and 10 seconds. Quick time. The Pandan Milk Drink ($5.99 - 50% Sweetness - Regular Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 80 cents) tasted artificial. It had a strong "candy milk taste," and it glowed a neon green when stirred. The first sip was pleasant, but as I continued to drink, the taste became more off-putting. Next, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted inconsistent. Some tasted perfectly fine, but others had the flavor of dishwater and gloop. I was tempted to throw it into the garbage can. Concerning ambiance, YOTEA (Rosemead) has potential. Ignoring the cobweb underneath one table & the somewhat old furniture, there's utility. This location has about 10 electrical outlets. Wow! There's also customer internet with password; the internet information is taped onto the black register. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. YOTEA (Rosemead) is also very spacious. The ceiling is very tall, and there's many spots to sit. There's about 16 tables!! If desperate for a study/work spot, this is a decent choice. There's also upbeat, smooth music. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at YOTEA (Rosemead). There's utility and potential, but this business feels old and unmaintained. Rather than clean, Staff just chattered amongst themselves. Any passion that rang within these walls dissipated a long time ago. Currently, YOTEA (Rosemead) is simply mediocre. 2.9 out of 5

My husband and I tried Yo Tea for the first time on Friday, Nov 14th at around 3 PM. I got the Yo Fruit Tea with light ice, which is filled with slices of orange, lemon, and a small bite of watermelon. It is a four seasons tea mixed with orange juice, lemon juice, and passion fruit syrup. The drink was tasty, not overly sweet (even though I got full sweet, very refreshing and I would definitely be willing to order this again. This time I ordered through Uber Eats and at that time, they had a special BOGO deal so both drinks were $8.35 and was a steal. All in all, I'd be willing to try out more drinks from Yo Tea in the future!

After hearing about Yotea for so long, I finally stopped by for a visit to try their drinks. There were a few I wanted to try including the Egg Coffee and the corn drinks but I decided on Banana Pudding Matcha Latte. It happened to be BOGO when I went and I had no idea, but I was pleasantly surprised to received two drinks when I went to get my drink when they called my name! The banana flavor was well balanced with the matcha and I love the "pudding" part of the drink, it felt like I was eating dessert while enjoying a drink, I found it really unique from most Banana Matcha Lattes I had. The place is pretty spacious with plenty of seating, a great hangout or work/study spot!

Sesame Matcha Latte at 25% sugar is still sugar overkill. Probably have to go even lower on the sweetness--- no added sugar because the sesame cream or whatever they use is already spiked with sugar. That being said, I popped a straw immediately into the Jasmin Gree Tea to water down the sweetness after taste on my tounge. Much better. Service here is quick, it's a good little alternative to the more crowded Aroma Formosa on Rosemead near Las Tunas, and less hectic than waiting in line at 3Catea or Molly Tea. If you're a quiet person, an introvert, maybe this place is for you. All the INTP, INFP, ISFJ, ISTJ, ISTP, yea this place is for you. Away from Valley Blvd. But the three stars is for the drinks, this being my 1st time here, not a fan of the matcha latte.

My NEW! Favorite Boba Spot in the City of Rosemead! I ordered my self a Pandan Milk Drink and my goodness it was so gooood!!! It's definitely a Must-Try! The service was just phenomenal and efficient and friendly with their customers helping them if they ever need help on what to try out. The ambiance was amazing and cozy because it was at night time and wasn't too crazy there. I would definitely come back here if need be and am thirsty

Came here to do some work & I ordered a sweet corn latte w/ no sugar. It was sooooo yummy, I love corn and the creamy corn top was perfect with my coffee, (5/5) would totally get again! I don't prefer my drinks too sweet so this was great bc I listened to the other reviews of reducing the sugar level bc they typically make it on the sweeter side. My drink came out quick within a few minutes. This place is nice for locking in to do work with outlets where their tables are which is perfect!

I dropped by to check out this place after hearing that their matcha was pretty good, and it definitely didn't disappoint!! I will be coming back to try the rest of their options! I ordered the Matcha Cold Whisk that comes with oat milk, and it was deliciously creamy and so so smooth!! I do wish that I ordered 75% or 50% sweetness considering how intense the sweet cream was, but as for matcha flavor, it wasn't gritty or grassy at all. If you're someone who prefers less sweet, definitely request to tone down the sugar levels. Their interior is spacious and quiet, perfect for a study spot.

Good study cafe in the SGV! There's a lot of tables that are spaced out well, charging outlets, and they'll let you borrow an extension cable if needed. The drinks are just ok. I wouldn't come here just for the drinks. Come for the tables, the WiFi, the chill space to work. Drinks we ordered: Watermelon green tea 50% sweet -- very bland, just good for hydration Lychee green tea 50% sweet-- good sweetness, canned lychees, good to sip on but not amazing you know? Corn coffee-- we didn't like this Previously I've ordered the matcha coconut (that's pretty good) and cookies and creme coffee (VERY strong and sweet) There's a parking lot in the back. It looks like the entrance to a residential apartment but you can park on the ground floor (first floor when you enter) for free.

This spot has a nice, modern interior. They have different seating choices strewn throughout the shop. There is also the choice of street parking or a small indoor parking lot. We got the matcha einspanner. It's yummy, but we did notice there was quite a bit more cream than drinkable liquid/milk. I would come back, but request less cream next time! We ordered with the self-serve kiosk, so we don't have any particular comments on the service.

Great parking spaces, plenty of tables and seating, and great variety of tea overall. Great place to do laptop work or catch up with a friend. One tap monitor machine and one cashier machine. Wax Berry Frostie (50% sweet, mini boba): Honestly, I would consider lowering the sweetness down to 0% or 25% because once the ice melts the sweetness reaches to 100%. Great refreshing berry smooth with a top coating of foam yogurt. Matcha Banana Pudding (50% sweet): Matcha is very light, there's not a lot of the green tea flavor. The banana pudding is also light and fluffy however it's not going sweeten the drink overall because it acts more like topping to eat instead of mix and drink.

This place is great to come and study or get some work done. They have so many seats and tables and outlets throughout. I had their banana matcha and the pudding was good but matcha was not. It was very bland and when mixed it was better but not that much. We also tried the coconut matcha which was just okay. I would probably try a different drink next time. Spacious tea store with street parking and a parking garage in the back. Decided to try this place for the matcha but the matcha quality here isn't the best. Lots of drinks on the menu and they are promoting a new ceremonial matcha series. Can see them whisking matching in the back but has a bitterness I didn't like on my first sips. Once mixed the other flavors took over the drink. The sweet corn matcha had a fresh corn flavor which was delicious and didn't taste like the artificial corn. The banana pudding matcha had good banana flavor and pudding consistency. The pandan flavoring was too strong. Quiet place and plenty of seating so great for a study place. Drinks had decent syrups and flavoring but matcha was not good. They have a large selection for their menu.

Drinks were decent! The watermelon was refreshing and well blended. The matcha was a miss (especially if you tend to drink matcha from coffee shops). The service was great, you could either order via kiosk or with the worker. The seating area was very large, perfect for studying or working. There are outlets against the wall and WiFi!

their sea salt cheese vietnamese coffee is amazing! once everything is mixed up you can't taste any bitterness. i've also had their matcha viet coffee too and it was pretty decent. the space seems nice for studying (lots of tables and not too loud). whenever i'm in rosemead yotea is where i stop by after a meal for a sweet treat :) read more

Love the staff and the service here! They are always happy to help with recommendations. The drinks aren't too sweet, but you're able to adjust the sweetness level (I believe they try to use natural sweeteners). It has a clean and modern ambiance, and there are a few spots to sit and enjoy your drink. Would definitely come back again! read more

The order was taken through their monitor and I ordered a brown sugar milk with less ice and 50% less sweetness while my friend ordered Jasmine tea cheese with brown sugar boba. They literally gave us honey boba instead and my drink didn't come with ANY brown sugar. WHERE THE SUGAR??!!!!! I'm literally just drinking milk and caramel w dry boba. No offense but like you could've told me that I was gonna end up getting honeyboba I would've ordered something else. read more

They need better cups for their foam coffees. The lid has such a big opening that every time I tried to drink my egg coffee, I only got the foam part & no coffee or else it would spill all over me. Establishment was pretty big but very limited on seating. Drink itself was good. The foam was on the sweeter side while the coffee was more bitter. read more

The drinks are fine and are thankfully cheaper than most places (due to the lower foot traffic from its location). However, the wait is very, very long. They got very backed up in the afternoon and it wasn't even particularly busy. read more

This is so far the best place to have Vietnamese coffee near LA without needing to go all the way to Orange County. Their Pandan Coffee, Milk Coffee (Bac Xiu), and Peach Yakult are really good, the staff are really friendly and the ambiance is pretty excellent. The mango frostie is great here. I was told all their drinks are made with real fruit which is really good. I prefer the mango frostie without mango jelly. This place is my go to for Vietnamese coffee! I love the Vietnamese coffee here. This place always gives extra topping which I appreciate a lot more than other boba places. Got six drinks over the Lunar New Year weekend. When it's not busy, Yotea has great boba, but during peak times, the consistency seems to suffer. Our drinks were much sweeter than requested (even though we ordered less sweetness), and some were missing boba entirely. The staff was likely overwhelmed, which might explain the inconsistency. That said, I've tried the Matcha Banana Latte before, and it was fantastic. Overall, I'd recommend coming when it's not too crowded for the best experience. read more

Upon arriving to this place, it was super cute and chill, super clean and has 10000 plus aura. The people here are super nice and very pretty, I love the aura here and it's a great place to study and hang out with friends. I tried the Matcha milk tea with brown sugar boba and it's one of the best matchas ive ever tasted. As well as the pastries, I had the pineapple bun and it's tasted soo good ?!! I heard it was homemade and for sure who ever made it should pursue baking. I heard they have Koop events, so I would definitely recommend if you're a K-pop fan!!! I would 100 percent recommend this place to chill and hang out!!! read more

We came in to try out this new boba place... this place is very good! Highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Yo fruit tea and the strawberry yacult. The fruit tea tasted so fresh and has a very good flavor combination. It felt like i was eating an actual fruit. It was just awesome and full of flavor... The store presents a really good ambiance... very clean and spacious... we will definitely be coming back to try out their other flavors. read more

I got a pandan milk tea, peach milk tea, and a Thai milk tea here during their opening weekend. Unfortunately, they were out of the capybara things they advertised by the time I got there. I honestly wasn't a big fan of the pandan milk tea. I'm usually a big fan of pandan but the extract or pandan flavoring they used had a really strong artificial flavor that left a bad aftertaste in my mouth and the drink even stained my mouth green after a couple sips. So I personally wouldn't come back for that drink but I did try some of the other milk teas and they were fine. I would still come back to try the Vietnamese coffees because those look interesting. read more

My new favorite spot. The workers are super friendly and the service is fast. There's a lot of space to hangout with friends or a place to get some work done. Never had problems with parking in both the structure or on the streets. Besides drinks, they have a few different types of snacks too. read more

The coffee here is fine but I had a very negative experience with a cashier. At the register, they have one of those tablet card POS's that prompt you to input your number for rewards, tap your card, choose tip, etc. When I got to the front of the line to place my order with the cashier, the screen was asking me to input a phone number for rewards. When I inputted my number and started ordering, the cashier looked very confused and asked if I was with the person who previously ordered. I said no, and she said she assumed I was with the last person, and when I put the number in for the previous order, I'm basically stealing his points. I asked if they could undo it because I really didn't mean to make the mistake and she made a big deal of calling the manager. After finding out she can't undo the points transaction, she repeated that I stole his points. She made a point to find the person in the store to whom she implied I should apologized for 'stealing' their points. He didn't mind at all. After that, the cashier/barista made my drink but the whole ordeal took 30 minutes and she didn't make my drink until after I apologized to the person. I will not be returning here. Edit: the manager reached out and apologized to me, even offering a discount and double points for the next visit. I respectfully declined because I don't really need that, the message was good enough. Although my experience wasn't great, I'm happy that management is taking accountability. Gave the review one more star. read more

This place was cute and the girl behind the counter was nice but the drinks were quite disappointing. We ordered two drinks and neither drink had any tea taste to it. We ordered a milk tea with 100% sweetness and less ice and it was so watered down, it basically tasted like water with a hint of tea. We also ordered a green thai tea and it tasted like milk with a hint of tea that was rather bitter. 7 leaves' green Thai tea is 1000% better. read more

Came during their grand opening and the service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The cashier recommended that their best seller for the day was the Pandan Drink. To be honest, they got the best pandan drink in town and not a lot of places can get this specific drink right, but YO TEA definitely did. Nice hipster and chill spot for us to hang around and enjoy our drinks. Would 100% come back again. read more

At that point I told them I needed to leave, and they offered to make me another drink. I said ok, whatever you can make fast - so they whipped up a osmanthus rice milk tea pretty quickly. The drink itself was surprisingly good! Smooth, flavorful and fragrant, and the little bits of rice added a pleasant texture to the drink. It was a bit too sweet for my liking because they made it at 100%, I would choose 50% next time. Overall I'd consider trying a different Ben Gong location in the future because the drink itself was worth getting again. The service here was definitely lacking though.

My husband ordered the Lychee Jasmine Tea. His first reaction was that it was a little too sweet, but once the ice melted a bit, he said it was perfect. Then there was the Einspänner Latte... I don't know what was in that latte, but the caffeine hit me after the first sip. The flavor and sweetness were BOLD (to say the least), and I swear the caffeine was off the charts...and that's coming from someone who drinks coffee every day. I really wanted to keep drinking it because it was so good, but I just couldn't. My body was like, "Absolutely not." She was STRONG. I saved the rest, hoping the melted ice would mellow it out a bit, but it was still strong the next morning! I just noticed you can choose the caffeine strength on the menu, so I'll definitely be trying that next time. Needless to say, we'll be back!

You will find some cheap eats in here ranging from Chinese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese. Today I came here to get Vietnamese dessert at Che Hien Khanh. It is a chain and they have stores in Little Saigon as well. This is a smaller boutique so they do not have everything that the OC locations have. My go to order is the number 21 which is the 3 color or che ba mau. It is a drink/dessert that has an assortment of beans, pandan jelly (banh lot), coconut milk and shaved ice. When you get the drink it will be in layers and you will have to stir it to mix it up. It is similar to halo halo but Vietnamese. The large goes for $6.50 which is not too bad considering Bambu used to be around $8-$9 when they existed in San Gabriel before. Also the large size is huge in comparison. You line up at the food court and you let the staff know what you want. After you pull off to the side and can pay with cash or card. There are plenty of seats at the food court so go find a table and begin mixing your drink. Other desserts I like are the sticky rice, cassava and the mung bean pandan jelly. All the items are not too sweet and full of textures from the different ingredients inside.

The café Yotea is familiar to me. I pass it often and have a cousin who is obsessed with their ice coffee, as noted on his Instagram stories. While getting his usual coffee fix, he posted on his Instagram story that the café will be closing on January 26th. As soon as I saw this, I made it my mission to order as many things as possible before they officially close their doors. I was able to make some time on my commute home from work the three days leading to the last day: January 24th, 25th, and 26th. I'm not much of a coffee person myself, so I ordered different variants of milk tea each day, all with no sugar and no ice: green milk tea, mango milk tea, and jasmine green tea. On two of those visits I decided to add boba and grass jelly for my toppings, and wow, I was immediately hooked! Even without ice, my drink was filled to the top but not overfilled where contents spilled out of the cup upon inserting my straw. This is a minor detail that makes a big different for me because at other tea houses, when no ice is requested, drinks are only 75% full. I can see why my cousin has visited this place for the past 7.5 years. Although my experience with Yotea was brief, I'm glad I was able to experience what they offer because they closed. It's not easy saying farewell, but this place will always have a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten: from the décor to the service and price point--they nailed it. read more

I finally had a chance to visit Yotea this morning after missing their grand opening and tried the lychee green tea with regular sweetness. The sweetness was spot on, and the tea had no bitterness whatsoever, which was a pleasant surprise. It also came with lychee fruits, adding a delightful and authentic touch to the flavor. The coconut ice cream coffee was especially amazing - the ice cream was perfectly frozen, so it slowly melted and blended with the coffee for a smooth, creamy experience.
