Ordered on 2g2g Honestly, they said 18$ value and we got a milk tea and green tea both like $4. So essentially we paid full price and get horrible drinks with chunky milk topping in it and she was like oh you paid a lot for those drinks. It shouldn't have been so expensive. Bummer.

Creative drinks and great boba texture Stopped by Tea Maru and tried the mango matcha boba and taro boba. The mango matcha was refreshing and surprisingly well-balanced. The sweetness from the mango complemented the earthy matcha nicely, and the layers looked beautiful before mixing. The taro boba was creamy, smooth, and had a rich taro flavor without being overly sweet. The boba pearls were soft, chewy, and cooked just right. Every sip had a good amount of boba, which made the drinks even more enjoyable. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff kept things moving quickly despite a steady flow of customers. The vibe is modern, clean, and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a drink and catch up with friends. Overall, a solid boba spot in San Gabriel with fun flavor combinations and quality drinks.

Tea Maru's drinks were pretty good! We were looking around for some bubble tea/boba spots in San Gabriel and we were nearby so we gave it a try. The location is quite busy and the parking lot was full. We did find a spot on the street and just walked over. The location is small and seating is very limited. You can place your orders on the kiosk near the register. There's not much decoration going on, but you can study or do some work here. The drink menu is extensive and adjustments with sweetness can be made. We ended up trying the Okinawa Latte & Sweet Potato Fluffy Matcha. The drinks were made fast and we enjoyed them there. I really liked the Okinawa Latte. The roasted brown sugar flavor and black tea was great! It was a standout in terms of flavor and I think one of their top options. The Sweet Potato Fluffy Matcha was unique and not a bad option as well. My wife and I were pleased with the quality and taste of their drinks. Come by and give them a try. ( ^_^)b

I came here on a weekday late afternoon to get a boba drink. There was plenty of parking at this time. It was easy to order at the kiosk. I got the Maru Milk. The drink was sweet, and the boba was soft and chewy. When the order is ready, the person at the counter should call the name a little louder. I was close by and was watching, so I knew my drink was ready.

Tea Maru is located in San Gabriel in a small plaza on Las Tunas & Mission. Stopped in after a couple years. The space is bright and clean, with a long bench along the wall. However, there are too few tables to make it feel like a spot to hang out. Ordering is done at a kiosk, which feels a bit impersonal, and there was no greeting from the one employee behind the counter--even though we were the only customers. The kiosk also prompts for a tip before service, which didn't feel warranted based on our experience. On the plus side: The drinks were good. I had the Okinawa milk tea latte, subbing boba for pudding. It was nice to have options to change toppings, choose milk alternatives, adjust ice, and set your preferred level of sweetness. However, some substitutions did have extra costs. With so many tea/boba shops in the area, I think Tea Maru could step up by adding more tables, playing some music, and prioritizing customer service. As it stands, it feels like they're doing themselves a disservice.

This place has a Groupon deal that was like $10 for like $14 worth of drinks. Totally worth it since boba or matcha nowadays cost close to $8. Drinks: 5/5 I really liked my Taro Fluffy Matcha. They use real taro in the drink. It was not too sweet and had taro was in really good chunks that weren't too big but still had good texture. The matcha was really good and balance nicely with the taro. Service: 5/5 This looks like a small family owned shop or franchise. The baristas were friendly and helped us activate our Groupons. The drinks were made fresh to order. Ambiance: 5/5 When we walked in, we saw one of the baristas making the boba. It looked like it was made fresh in house. I think this place would be a wonderful study space or a chill place to just hang out with friends. I cannot wait to try their other teas.

Got two drinks to go. Service was fine. Cute store with great ambiance. Drinks were fine.

Came here for a quick boba pick me up and the drink was heavy on the milk than the tea. Half sweetness was still quite sweet. The handmade boba is the real star here which was perfectly chewy. Boba bumps it up to 4 stars. There's a lot of handwritten signage around for what's available, steps to use the kiosk, etc, but I thin it would help to print/laminate some of those pieces and do a little updating since a lot of the scotch tape is wearing off too.

I've passed by this tea spot numerous times so I know that it's quite small and it's located in a pretty busy plaza so parking can be difficult, especially on the weekends! They're open daily 11:30am-10:30pm Ordered Doordash and it arrived in less than an hour! They have a Doordash promotion currently - Honey Tea - 2 for $5.99 - Mango Jasmine Tea - 2 for $8.20 Menu has a good variety of tea and milk teas. Pricing is reasonable and most drinks are $5-7+. Toppings range from $0.65-$1.00 Loved that there are sugar, ice adjustments, as well as milk substitutions! The Mango Jasmine Tea with Housemade Boba was delicious! Got it half sweet and it was not too sweet and very refreshing! The Jasmine Tea tasted freshly brewed and fragrant! The Mango puree was very yummy and was made with real fruit! The Housemade Boba was very chewy and good! It was so soft and fresh! Definitely recommend getting this drink and the boba is a must! Overall, I really enjoyed my drink and will definitely recommend and return!

Review #918 2025-093 Drink Order: Kiwi Citrus Breeze with Mixed Boba (Strawberry, Mango, & Brown Sugar) $6.50 I trekked to SGV to claim a YCE, coincidentally it's also boba-related, & detoured to Tea Maru en route home so my 5 YO can enjoy a drink too. What separates Tea Maru from other boba shops their in-house craft of boba daily, using real fruit, vegetable, or simple ingredients... there's a definite difference in texture & chewiness! According to their website, they use natural ingredients & simple sweetener instead of powder, creamer, & fruit syrup. Confident in their handcrafted drinks, they offer a guarantee to remake your drink if you're not happy with it. I ordered a Kiwi Citrus Breeze with Mixed Boba because my son was into fruit teas at the time. If you want to try a mix of their craft boba, it's an extra 25¢ surcharge... $1.00 for a sampling of strawberry, mango, & brown sugar, totally worth it! Our drink was served quickly even with a few customers ahead of us. We weren't greeted upon entry because the bobaristas were busy executing loads of drinks, but she was warm & friendly when we picked up our drink. The tea had a fragrant floral jasmine flavor with sweet kiwi that's countered with zesty, citrusy lemon with tons of fresh, QQ chew boba (almost 1/3 cupful)! This was one of the few times that the drink was finished with quite a bit of leftover boba. The strawberry & brown sugar boba were most flavorful, but the mango wasn't as prevalent; other than its golden orange-yellow coloring, I probably didn't know that they were mango flavored boba. Their menu consists of signature drinks, tea lattes, fresh fruit teas, fresh brewed teas, cheese foam teas, & slushes; if this doesn't appeal to you, they also offer a "create your own drink" option. Price points are comparable to most boba shops in the area. Busy boba shop with efficient staff. We visited during the pandemic & the shop was cramped due to supplies being stocked in the dining area, & tables had their chairs flipped over & stacked to prevent indoor seating. When I'm in SGV visiting my brother, we would detour to Tea Maru for their yummy boba. Recommended: Kiwi Citrus Breeze with Mixed Boba.

Okinawa Milk Tea Latte with Boba and Mango Slush

Tea Maru in San Gabriel in SGV is so good! I came here with my boyfriend to satisfy our milk tea craving and I'm happy to report craving was satisfied. The place was small and had minimum tables but it's a relaxing vibe in there if you get one table lol I ordered the Okinawa latte, which was perfectly balanced, not too sweet. My boyfriend got the mango slush with ice cream We kept stealing sips from each other because both drinks were that good. Great boba, great atmosphere, staff was super nice and a perfect spot for a chill date. We'll be back

I came here because of the fresh boba and enjoyed that there were different flavors like strawberry boba. I like that it's handmade which can be difficult to find. The drink I got was adjusted in sweetness and I got the cheese foam which had a nice balance. The staff was pretty helpful and friendly. The shop had open seating which didn't feel crowded when I went.

My surprise drink had: Hokkaido Milk tea with Aiyu jelly: Aiyu jelly was light and the hokkaido milk tea was had a light roasted milk tea flavor. Green tea with pudding.

Unfortunately, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted funky. Some pearls had the flavor of soap. "Gross!!" I arrived at YOTEA (Rosemead) on Monday (around 12:16PM). Parking is simple if familiar with the area. There's a rear parking garage for customers. Staff is unmemorable and awkward. When I mentioned they mixed old and new menus together which displayed incorrect prices, Staff seemed amused and let them stay mixed. Staff avoided customer interaction whenever possible. The drink took two minutes and 10 seconds. Quick time. The Pandan Milk Drink ($5.99 - 50% Sweetness - Regular Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 80 cents) tasted artificial. It had a strong "candy milk taste," and it glowed a neon green when stirred. The first sip was pleasant, but as I continued to drink, the taste became more off-putting. Next, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted inconsistent. Some tasted perfectly fine, but others had the flavor of dishwater and gloop. I was tempted to throw it into the garbage can. Concerning ambiance, YOTEA (Rosemead) has potential. Ignoring the cobweb underneath one table & the somewhat old furniture, there's utility. This location has about 10 electrical outlets. Wow! There's also customer internet with password; the internet information is taped onto the black register. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. YOTEA (Rosemead) is also very spacious. The ceiling is very tall, and there's many spots to sit. There's about 16 tables!! If desperate for a study/work spot, this is a decent choice. There's also upbeat, smooth music. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at YOTEA (Rosemead). There's utility and potential, but this business feels old and unmaintained. Rather than clean, Staff just chattered amongst themselves. Any passion that rang within these walls dissipated a long time ago. Currently, YOTEA (Rosemead) is simply mediocre. 2.9 out of 5

Frosty Mango Sticky Rice -- $7.90 for 2 with BOGO | 10/10 This drink was TO. DIE. FOR. I am such a mango girly, and if you combine mango + sticky rice, you already have my attention. But putting it into a drink?! GAME OVER. It was creamy, sweet, refreshing, and packed with that mango sticky rice flavor. Honestly, this drink was literally a meal in a cup! And the fact that we got TWO drinks for $7.90 with the BOGO deal?! AIN'T NO WAY. What a steal! We did have a little plot twist, though. The other drink featured in the BOGO, the Silky Green Pro, had unfortunately run out by the time we arrived, so this was the only option left. Honestly? I wasn't even mad because this mango drink completely stole the show! We arrived around 1:15 PM and didn't get our drinks until around 2:05 PM. There were A LOT of people ordering, and they were absolutely cranking out drinks the entire time. I can totally understand why they eventually closed off online orders because they were BUSY busy! By the time you're reading this, the BOGO deal has probably been over for five hours anyway... so if you missed it, I'm sorry for rubbing it in. The kiosk ordering system was quick and easy, and everything is pretty much grab-and-go once your drink is ready. Despite the wait today, I have to give them major kudos because every single time we've come here, the drinks have been consistently GOOD. That kind of consistency deserves recognition! . Ambiance is like any other drink spot, a bit small inside if you ask me. Definitely coming back, and yes... I'm already thinking about that mango sticky rice drink again. Happy Drinks, Happy Eats, Happy Life!

The staff are very organized even though it seems easy to get overwhelmed. If you wanna download the app you can order ahead of time and pick up, which is nice since the parking is valet if you stay and sit at the sticky tables.

They are in a really small plaza with options to park in the plaza or street parking nearby. The interior was quaint with a few small tables. Staff here was very friendly and efficient. I came a bit close to closing time and I felt guilty but I was in the area and really wanted a sweet treat for the drive home. They were really friendly and quick with my order. I had the Smashed Avocado and Durian ($8.75) which is the #1 item on their signature list. I took it on the road because I really didn't want to keep them pass closing. Love love love! Just as delicious as I remembered it. The really use quality ingredients because durian is a sensitive ingredient. If they don't use good ones it can get sus. The durian is creamy and custard-like at the base with some jelly bites for texture, then there's a blend of sweet milk of some kind, and then topped with the avocado blend. Yum! Perfection! One of my favorite desserts of all times. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

They also sell pandan and coffee jelly. I got their coffee jelly which was also great. I got their Viet Coffee which was nice. Not the best but definitely hit the mark and considering a lower price point than most (less than $6). Will be back!

All of the drinks were good, refreshing, and full of flavor. Each one had its own unique taste, and there wasn't a single drink that we didn't enjoy. The toppings were fresh, and everything tasted well-balanced. We ordered our drinks at 70% sugar, and it really hit the spot--not too sweet and not too bland. It was the perfect level of sweetness for us. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Recently my partner and I visited for their Mango Pomelo Sago BOGO and the order was ready pretty quickly. Interior is clean and staff was friendly. Easy pickup and go. Similar to most Yi Fang locations, there's essentially no seating inside besides one bench and that's basically it. This location as a self ordering kiosk which is always a nice sight to see. Drinks wise, I've tried many but my favorite is for sure their milk tea series, even though they're known for their fruit tea series, I find their milk teas to be very consistent as well. Their menu is extensive which can be a bit offsetting for you to pick your drink but I think it's a good part of their shop as they practically have every type of drink you want to order, from fruit teas, milk teas, cheese foams, etc.
