A great place to have a brew or two! Located in South Connellsville near Falcon Stadium this could be your Friday night or any day destination. Multiple house made beers on tap. I recommend the bearded nomad or the #3. There's indoor and outdoor seating and Multiple tvs onsite so you can catch a game. They have a wide range of merch and growlers for purchase. They often have a band or artists perform as well as food trucks. Definitely worth checking out. My only complaint is that they opened after I moved from Connellsville!

Visited this brewery recently as a non-beer drinker coming back from a hike at Ohio Pyle and was thoroughly impressed. The bartender was fantastic, offering great recommendations and making sure we had a memorable experience. I don't drink beer, so they had a lot of options for cocktails (featuring PA spirits) and carried Stateside Seltzers. They have a cozy covered patio with a fire pit. Food trucks, and they decorate seasonally, adding a festive touch to the atmosphere. Overall, a great experience. (FYI: it was only about 15-20 minutes out of the way coming back from Ohio Pyle, if you plan to get on the turnpike to Pittsburgh again).

This is our first brewery that we've visited in Fayette Co, may be the first brewery for the county. It's in a great location along the yough river. What is nice is if you're kayaking, you can stop at multiple breweries from Connellsville to Bloom Brewery in West Newton. When we arrived the outside look much smaller than the photos that we've seen online. When you walk into the brewery it's small, small area to sit and limited bar seats. However someone was leaving and we were able to gain seats. The beer menu didn't have a Hazy IPA, but I did have a Blond Ale that someone next to me said is amazing and he wasn't kidding. It was great. The bar staff told us about the double IPA, and damn it was sensational. I like IPA's but not double, but this one had a fruit taste to it. Even my wife who hates anything hoppy loved it. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The environment reminds me more of a bar than a brewery BUT it's good that you can obtain craft beer here. They did have cider from my friend Curts place Tattiebogle Ciderworks. Anyhow I'd recommend checking this place out. Oh and how can I forget it's part of the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour. It's a place where you can obtain a sticker for your book. Highly recommend competing.

We initially were stopped in our tracks by the doors being locked and the business being closed which was a surprise to us because I had read on Yelp the hours were 4-10ish but we'd later find out that was more like 4ish to 10ish. Haha! We were bummed and as we were walking back to the Jeep to head somewhere else, I sparked up a conversation with a couple gentlemen from the area who were in the parking lot. They were waiting to go inside as well and assured us that the owner would be there soon. So we chatted about beers and breweries and then boom, the owner pulled in. We found out that she had to pick up an order she had placed at Sam's Club and while doing that a girl had called off, so totally understandable. We all helped her unload the stuff she bought for the bar and then she served us an ice cold Halleck Pale Ale in frosted mugs from Chestnut Brew Works, which sadly enough I'd never had until then, Wow was it was tasty! Thanks Shorty for the recommendation. It's now on my favorite list. After chatting it up with the locals we happened to find out to our surprise that a guy we grew up with now lived in the area and made friends with the locals since they were all super good musicians. So they called him up and he came down and had a beer with us before we had to head out. They played us their new music on the jukebox and it was very good and we also met a local guy who had just been inducted into the WV Music Hall Of Fame. Damn, these are the days I live for! Listen, this place is 100% awesome! The owner Laura is amazing, the locals are kind and friendly, the beer is super cold and mostly local but some of your other favorites too, she makes her own wine and it's on tap, the food looks good, she supports locals businesses as well by purchasing their stuff for resale, it's roomy and they have a pool table. It's a super cool place and I can't wait to go back and hang out again and grab a pizza from the pizzeria next door. Sláinte!

Everything was clearly warmed up in a microwave in the back. There was ample bar space and tables, along with outdoor seating. It had good reviews on Yelp, so I decided to give it a go. And I'm glad I did. Everything was excellent. The outdoor seating was nice, the workers were friendly, my waitress Jae was very attentive, and most importantly, the fish sandwich was top notch. It certainly seemed to be freshly made and not frozen. I ordered fries on the side in addition to Cole slaw. The slaw was nice and creamy. While I generally don't like battered fries, these were pretty tasty. The only slight negative was the cost. At almost $30 for my sandwich plus a beer, it seemed a little pricey to me. But sometimes you have to pay for quality. I will return.

We came in to get drinks to go with our food (we got food from the food truck outside "Firebox"). The food from Firebox was good and it was a generous portion for the price. The drink options that were not beer were limited, and half of those options on the menu weren't available. My partner got the berry chocolate stout and said it was "pretty good". We hoped to sit outside, but the only available table had broken glass all over it from a busted door. It does have convenient parking and I liked the industrial decor. The service was good and the lady was very nice. One thing I will point out is that one of our glasses had pink lipstick on it from a previous customer. But if you only want beer and a place to chill - it might be just right for you.

I also appreciate the ample outdoor seating available. Always a big plus for me, even if the outdoor area is really just tables set up on the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot - as it is in this case. The service was fine. It wasn't crazy busy there but the bartender had a little edge to her like we were more on an annoyance than a patron. They have a refill club where you can buy a mug and get your name printed on it with discounted refills. Again I appreciate that kind of thing, but the bartender seemed way more interested in some of the regulars than us. Just the vibe she gave off that night I guess. And lastly the beer...it's solid. Not great, but solid. Lots of darker beers which is fine for me personally, but the darks outnumbered the IPAs, pilsners, etc the night we were there. I'd expect a little more variety. Still, it's good enough that I'd go back next time I'm in Cumberland, but not so good that I'd make a special trip out of my way. My scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive up to 30 minutes just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

When we pulled in, I was wondering what it would be like because it has a strip mall type facade. So when I went in, I was pleasantly surprised at the unique decor. Some stained glass and some really neat artwork. You can see the kitchen and the pizza oven, Service was a little slow at times, but overall pretty good. For example, we were seated and it took a bit of time for someone to greet us. Then a lot of attention was paid until we ordered, then we had to hunt someone down to ask for our check. Maybe it was an off day. Overall, though, our server was knowledgeable about the food and beer options and was friendly and courteous. It was an interesting menu. Pizzas and ramen bowls are not usually things I'd expect to be served at the same restaurant, but they are both apparently highlight of their menu. I ordered the cauliflower appetizer and my husband ordered a salad. The cauliflower had an amazing sauce that gave it a kick but was also sweet. A perfect combination. For our main entrees, I ordered the daily ramen bowl special and my husband ordered the taco special. He loved his tacos. I was a bit underwhelmed by my ramen. The noodles were in a weird clump and it was somehow both too hot and too cold. It did have nice flavor overall, though. The beers, they weren't our favorite, but they weren't bad either. Overall an enjoyable experience and someplace I'd go back to.

If they…read moredid, I would give Iron Horse Tavern ... drumroll ... three-and-three-quarter stars (Ed McMahon voice)! But Yelp doesn't, and since 3.75 is closer to 4 than it is to 3 (right?), 4 stars it is. Whew, that's all the math I care to do today. My pulled pork nachos were not my favorite. It could have been a user error, though -- I didn't see on the menu that the cheese they were using was beer cheese. I just saw "pulled pork" and my mind went blank, and I had to order the nachos. In my opinion, a little beer cheese goes a long way, and these nachos had lots and lots of beer cheese. The only other ingredients on the nachos were jalapeno and a sprinkling of chives, so they were a little one-note. I think a different cheese and adding something else (avocado, maybe? Or beans? Green onions?) would have helped. We also got the mac and cheese, both the adult size and the child size. I was told that the mac and cheese was good, and both portions were huge. In fact, the child's-size mac and cheese was almost as large as the adult size. The kids menu has all of the kid heavy hitters, like chicken tenders, a smash burger, grilled cheese and a chicken sandwich. Kids meals come with chips or apple slices. We also got the Beets & Greens salad, which is a mixed-green salad with roasted red and yellow beets, green apple, candied walnuts, goat cheese and a poppy seed vinaigrette. This was honestly the best thing we ordered, and I think if I were to visit again, I'd get a salad. Iron Horse has eight salads on their menu, which is quite a lot, for a pub-type place. Actually, I'd get a salad and one of their handmade pierogis. Whenever a restaurant hand-makes something, you should always get that! I usually do, but got caught up in thinking about pulled pork. Oh well. The service here was great. The restaurant itself is nice, with a huge bar area that takes up about half of the restaurant. This looks like a nice place to watch sports and get a beer or something.
