They have the meats! This is exactly what you wanted Arby's to be back in the day. It's nostalgic and better than imagined at the same time. Ya'll this is a small place with limited space to sit and stand so don't plan on sticking around for a long time. Anyways back to the good stuff, the food. I haven't been this excited to write a review in a while. My boyfriend and I went to try them out we ordered the Boston three way and the new deal. We were starving so we tried four varieties. They looked smaller but the flavor punch made it more than enough. Fresh focaccia soft, chewy with a touch of saltiness, quality meats , and the condiments that bring out the flavors instead of mask them. The mortadella is perfect. The three way was our favorite. Exceptional sandwich shop in downtown Cincinnati. I was hopeful to get one of the mortadella sandwiches but, to my chagrin, they were out. So I went with the Boston Beef three way. The focaccia bread was a great choice -- pillowy and fresh. The beef was perfectly medium rare and the mayo/bbq sauce and fried onions. The sandwich was perfect. 5 stars We've been here before and always loved their sandwiches, but the customer service truly takes this place to the next level. After finishing our half marathon, we stopped by cold, shivering, and hungry. While standing in line, one of the staff members (maybe the owner) noticed how frozen we were and offered us some kind of coat to warm up. A few minutes later, she even came out with fresh bread straight from the oven. The food is incredible, but what really makes this place special is the people. It reminds me of All'Antico Vinaio sandwich shop out of Florence Italy and New York ...but Young Buck's has to be better ....they serve most sandwiches on homemade focaccia and they make / cure their own meats ( pastrami, corned beef , turkey , roast beef , porchetta etc ) ! The owner's are super nice as well ....Seriously one of the best sandwiches I have had in ages - I got the Rueben with half pastrami and half corned beef ( and some other things to go ) and you can purchase all of their meats by the pound. My wife got the new deal and I had the hot pastrami. Both sandwiches were fantastic and huge. Caitlin was working the register and that was a nice treat getting to interact with a Top Chef alum. She was extremely warm and welcoming. The sandwiches are made right in front of you and for some reason the precision of the way they wrapped them really grabbed me. Great spot and don't be scared of the price. They aren't throwing a slice or two of meat on those things. They were all piled high. The house made mortadella - the pistachio spread - the homemade focaccia. Also great when you want to pick up some meat by the # to use at home! I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the chance. This was hands-down. The best sandwich I've ever had. From what I understand, everything except the Produce is all made in house. Meats, focaccia, etc. This is a great little deli that's open for breakfast and lunch only. My brother and I were eating our lunch outside on the bench and within, literally 2 to 3 seconds people stopped us and asked where we got. "those amazing looking sandwiches". One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Walked there from from Findley Market, about a mile, and worth it.

Young buck delicatessen had been on our radar for some time, due to the excellency of chef Kaitlyn young . We ordered the club sandwich and the pb & j. The pb & J was on challah bread that had been toasted in the manner of a grilled cheese but yet had the caramel notes of a Fillo dough pastry. The peanut butter was homemade , salty, and paired nicely with the jam. All in all, this is a superb pb & j for adults (and the sophisticated palette), which nonetheless recalls childhood. The club sandwich was comprised of focaccia which on its own would be delectable. However one thing to note is that the sandwich towers, making it ergonomically difficult to consume for a standard jaw. I highly suggest adding pickled onions for extra tang. Storefront is atmospheric, affording a well lit view of OTR's charming street, and allows a view of the chef working at the right. Will be back!! read more

I've been twice now and the sandwiches are no doubt delicious! I've tried both the mortadella and porchetta. Where Young Buck Deli shines is the super friendly service and great vibes of the interior (keep in mind, there's not too much seating). The focaccia bread is also a rare sight to see in Cincinnati, I've only seen these types of sandwiches in NYC and Italy otherwise! However, I would note that both times I went past peak lunch time but there was still about a 20 minute wait to get my sandwich. They were also unfortunately out of mortadella both times I went so they replaced the meat in the mortadella sandwich with porchetta. The second time I tried calling ahead to decrease wait time but no one answered the phone. The prices are a bit high, but I felt pretty stuffed with both sandwiches. If you're in the OTR area and have time to leisurely get some takeout, I highly recommend checking out Young Buck Deli! read more

Found ourselves in Young Buck Deli by accident, but so glad we did. I'll start with - it's not fast food, and it's not cheap. If you grab a focaccia, you're going to get the best quality focaccia I've had since we were in Italy. Imagine a New York Deli fused with an edgy little cafe. Throw in the most chill guy at the make table and you're on your way to the Young Buck Deli experience. One guy's literally slicing corned beef to order while another guy's making the sandwiches. The orchestrator is reading the orders and chatting up the ladies in the front row about some customer interaction years ago. It's as though we're all family as he's ripping the deli paper to wrap our sandwiches. In the middle of a sentence, he glances down and says to the guy making sandwiches, "Hey - hows come there's tomato on this one? Is there supposed to be?" So even though he seemed to be going through the motions, this guy knew exactly what was supposed to be going on behind him. Then I took a bite of my corned beef sandwich. The meat was certainly more fresh than I've had before, but there had to be a half pound of beef on this sandwich. The cheese was amazing, and the pickles were something like a bread & butter, but also dill. I could've eaten my body weight in them. High on my list of recommendations - if you like sandwiches, PLEASE treat yourself to one from Young Bucks - you'll thank me when you do. read more
