First time using this company and had a great experience. Heater stopped blowing warm air (was blowing cold air). Submitted a ticket Saturday AM (super early). With it being the weekend and holiday on top of that, we didn't expect to hear back until Monday sometime. Tried calling Saturday but got an prerecorded message that their office hours are M-F. Luckily, we received a text Sunday evening letting us know they were closed and the earliest they had available was the following day (with a time frame). Yes, PLZ! we replied. We received a reply stating we were on the schedule. Monday afternoon was approaching and we received a few texts letting us know a tech would be coming between x - x. Then another when he was on his way. Albert arrived and not only fixed the issue but saved the day I would definitely recommend this company! Albert was nice and professional. Young's was dispatched to us from our home warranty company. I communicated with them via text message and I do not have the name of the person I spoke with today. Earlier in the day before I called the warranty company, I had a friend come over and look at the problem. He gave us some temporary relief while I contacted the warranty company. Young's HVAC Pros responded quickly and I showed them the things our friend found this morning. The person from Young's was very knowledgeable about what my home warranty company would cover. I want to do more than the warranty company would cover. The person I was texting with, offered to send me an estimate for the same work. Young's gave me a very competitive estimate. I am only going with our friend because... well, he is our friend. But if I ever need a second opinion or am asked who I would use, I will recommend Young's because I appreciate their honesty today. read more

Young's was dispatched by Landmark Home warranty to look at an A/C unit in a cottage next to our house. They diagnosed the problem and said our blower motor burned out because the unit was poorly maintained. Landmark denied the claim. Then Young's started hounding me to put in a new unit. Repetitive calls, saying they offer finance and so on. We decided to wait. A few weeks later, a unit in our house went out. This time they said the compressor burned out and that the outside unit was very dirty and poorly maintained. Again, our claim was denied. Something did not smell right - as our outside unit was clean. I sent pictures to Landmark and insisted they sent another company for a second opinion. It turned out to be nothing more than a loose wire! I subsequently called the other company back to take a look at the cottage. Here's what their $200 invoice stated: - Found a bad capacitor for cottage building blower motor - Replaced the bad capacitor - Checked the amp draw 1.2 amps out of 2.1 - Coil was a little dirty but not affecting the system yet, may cause over condensation - Checked the freon pressures - Checked the split 21 - Ac is working ok So, twice now, Young's has falsely reported to the insurance company while also using the opportunity to try and sell me a new unit. I would stay away from this company. read more

Our AC unit went out in the dead of summer, so, we called Landmark Home Warranty, and they dispatched Young's HVAC out to us the next day. I have to say that I am blown away with the level of care we got. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Home Warranty contractor, but, Young's treated us like a regular customer, and Phil, the technician went above and beyond to get our AC back and running. They replaced the compressor, and needed to also replace the fan. Unfortunately, they didn't have the proper fan with them, so, they'd have to go buy one. Being a Saturday, they weren't sure if they'd be able to get it done that day, but, Phil came back at about 6:30pm with the motor to install. Ther was an issue during the installation process, however, so he went to Home Depot to get something for it, and then came back. He was working on our AC unit until at least 8:30pm. Truly above and beyond. The AC is working great again. read more

Chris was the first to answer a service call on a failing A/C unit that I had in a rehab house that I purchased. The people who had redone the home did a poor job with the HVAC and Chris was patient and understanding of the situation. I knew the house needed a new system and he quoted me a good price using Carrier products and said he could start work in two days.He also quoted me other options on the system at a lower cost but I wanted to pay the extra cost for a total replacement of the furnace. I took a chance on it and approved the work. He texted me a few times over the next couple of days to make sure he had all the details on the system to make sure the install was done right The day of the job, his crew showed up on time, were very courteous and professional and thorough. They put down drop cloths throughout my home and immediately got to work. I left to work, they called back later saying they had completed the work and when I arrived back home they had left everything in flawless condition (they even threw out the old system and hauled it away and the poor plenum work that the previous installer had done) and the system was functioning great. I would definitely recommend these guys! I had used Airco in the past but I prefer to deal with smaller companies like Chris'. Recommended! read more

The service technicians at Young's HVAC Pros, including Chris Bartek, have not only been incompetent but unprofessional. It took 3 service visits and 34 days to diagnose a leak in our refrigerator coil and replace it. 3 days after the repair, it was discovered that the new coil installed by Young's was faulty and leaking Freon. All of this occurred during 90-100 degree temperatures this summer. Chris has refused to take responsibility for the costs we incurred during the repairs that followed their initial work. I would not recommend their services to anyone. 10/7/19 addendum/response to comment - Chris, as of today I have not received the refund check you claimed to have sent. Regardless of what you have written, you did ultimately agree to refund us. In fact you put it in writing on July 29, 2019. I have tried to follow up with you directly and through our warranty company and with every contact you have stated that you will "mail it next week". After multiple service calls, no long term solutions and finally a botched repair, we had no trust or confidence in your abilities to have you return to our home to further work on our AC. Furthermore, air conditioning is a necessity in the summer months here in Austin so surely you can understand that we don't have patience for faulty repairs. read more

I submitted a work order through my Home Warranty and Young's was assigned the task to repair my air conditioner. I am not an HVAC licensed tech and troubleshooting electrical and other components comes fairly easy for me, but even though I have enough mechanical experience in fixing things I simply felt that this is the reason I buy warranties (save my time and efforts) so I can stay active with my busy work schedule. The technician contacted me in a timely manner and we were able to set up an appointment. (in about a day which was nice since I had family members health that do not respond well to the Texas heat) My outside unit essentially stopped working. I noted the conditions of the fan/outside unit and the overflow drain going out of the secondary line (not primary). I had my family at the house, so I was not available to monitor his work, but essentially the tech showed up and replaced the outside capacitor in a short amount of time and then left once the money was in hand. From the visit, he never mentioned the concerns about the secondary drainage and overflow that were notes on the work request or addressed it during his visit. I understand that service techs are busy and have many jobs to do, I know since I was one at a time in my life, but while onsite I would have appreciated a review of the other issue.. not just a bullet point of "fix this = done = bye" scenario. It took the next days service call for my plumber (yes, I had a rough week for things breaking) to note that the backup and overflow of the drainage line could cause additional issues. He noted that the tech may have resolved it by simply blowing the drain line with some compressed air to clear it. After all, he was on site and it would have been good diligence to avoid future service calls. As a Senior Tech in many of my life-jobs I understand about taking care of customers and resolving issues, so my critical points are from experience. I used to to have to resolve issues that could have been prevented the first time around, yet my company owners preferred to NOT do that and knew things would break and we would be called back out to... (hence I left those companies) So now my AC is running and the drainage is going out the secondary line AGAIN.... In the mean time, I did use some dissolving tablets (I was provided by another company for FREE) for the line to hopefully clear any muck in there.. and I used a hanger to ensure it was not clogged from where I could reach through. I would rate them at 3 Stars, but I give them an extra star for timely responses and communicating to me the time that they would be at my house... so for that they get 4 Stars. *note* If another warranty call is needed I may consider another company I used in the past (the ones that gave me the tablets to use), if they are available and my needs were not so immediate next time as well. Young's may fix your immediate problems, but make sure you tell them to check everything you noted as a possible issue. read more

Our AC was not cooling we called then for service. A technician came and said I fixed it And charge us a big amount of money. 4 days later we had same problem. We called them back but they said we have to pay for investigation. Young's was sent by my warrantee company to diagnose some A/C malfunctioning. They were prompt and courteous, determined I needed a new condenser (old one was very old). It was approved, but warrantee company wanted to order/use their own equipment which was going to take awhile. A heat wave was coming. Chris worked with them to instead use equipment that was a highly rated brand and which he could get sooner. It was installed, system upgraded (for newly mandated coolant) with no problems, before the heat hit. It's working great and they communicated with me all the way through, even afterwards to assure I received the paperwork and warrantee, etc. by email. Great experience with this company. read more

I was assigned Young's through my home warranty program. The service response was per expectations. It turned out to be an easy fix by just needing a new thermostat. When the service tech was wrapping up I noticed that he installed a non-programmable thermostat instead of a programmable thermostat which he replaced. He agreed and said he didn't currently have any and would be ordering some. He would come by when they come in and replace. Five phone calls from me and two phone calls/emails from Home Warranty of America later and Young's is MIA. If Young's can't honor a $20 thermostat, I certainly won't trust them for anything larger. read more

the owner came out to replace our AC, he installed it wrong not sealing a water line, crushing our duck work and ruined it! Making it so the master bed room and bathroom did not receive any air in the summer time! When I complained about it before I new about the leak he came back, and said out duck work was old, he tried to say that's why the air didn't reach the master, and wanted me to pay more to him to replace it. I told him it worked just fine before you came out and I wanted a second opinion. Due to improper installation water ran all over our attic and caused a 4ft hole in our ceiling and substantial water damage to our brand new very expensive hard wood floors and of course the giant hole in my ceiling! He also reused parts from our broken AC instead of buying all the proper parts we paid for, for a new AC to skim some extra money. The great company that came out to fix everything he ruined said "young AC strikes again!" And he was just repairing another family's AC he botched. He cost us $2,000 in damages on top of paying for a new AC. We are a young couple this was devastating to our savings. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! You will regret it. We still can't afford to fix our once beautiful hard wood floors. read more

My AC went out 3 weeks after purchasing a home. I called my Home Warranty company and they connected me with Young's AC. They were so professional! They were very neat and clean with my house! They worked with me on MY availability. I was actually a few minutes late getting home for our scheduled appointment (not a window of time) and he was early. He asked if he could go ahead and start the repair on the outside unit, which I authorized and by the time I got there he had already finished installing the outside unit. I would absolutely recommend them for other work and to other people. He didn't stand around and chit chat but he did make time to explain things and answer all my questions. Contacted them through our home warranty because our upstairs AC thermostat failed. They came 1 day after I called the home warranty, earlier than expected. Not only did they replace the thermostat but they checked all the condensers and blowers in the attic and found a baby snake stuck in the capacitor! So glad that they diagnosed the mystery problem in a timely manner. They had to come the next day to bring in the thermostat. Even after the cold air started blowing the technician said to give him a call if for some reason it fails or if it needs Freon. Our home warranty company gave our work order to Young HVAC Pro's because our heat stopped working. Chris got in touch with me right away to schedule a service call. The day of the service call the appointment before mine ran late, he let me know what was going on and when he arrived he was able to replace a fuse inside of the unit. He found nothing to cause the fuse to go out but mentioned it might be an intermittent issue and to call him if it happened again. It did and he came back at no charge and installed a fuse that I could reset myself until the problem was found. The third time the transformer had gone out and Chris replaced it, still no charge. That was the problem because there has been no issues since then. Normally I would have had to call our warranty company each time and pay the deductible each time so in this hit and miss situation, Chris was very helpful. The name says it all! "PRO's". I made an appointment for my A/C Central unit and was dreading what was about to transpire. They came out and eased my mind with their knowledge and professionalism. They informed me of the issue, explained their solution. I explained my encounter with another company and how the other company told me to prepare to replace my central unit and outdoor unit soon. They put my mind at ease, every concern I had they were able to show me how my unit worked and how it did not need to be replaced. They also informed me that the unit was in fact the correct unit for the house (the other guy said it wasn't). They also told me that me that the unit that I had was a reliable one. They put my whole home buying and replacement experience into a positive level. These guys explained their 90 policy which also put me at ease. I felt well taken care of in their hands! Chris was FABULOUS!!! The home warranty people were giving my daughter the run around (seemed like stalling) when they were trying to get their AC fixed before her wedding and subsequent honeymoon. Chris was the technician sent out by the home warranty people and he was persistant and professional. The AC was not fixed before they had to leave on their two week honeymoon so I was calling the home warranty people to make sure equipment was coming for the repair. After being on hold and on with a customer service rep for over an hour, I used my other phone to simultaneously call Chris only to find out he was also on the phone with PurchasingDepartment of the home warranty company trying to answer "all the questions" in order to secure the equipment needed for him to repair their unit. To make an unfortunately long story shorter: Chris at Young's HVAC saved the day. He kept following up with the home warranty people while they had to "get approval" or "search for equipment" and was keeping me updated all the while.
