I've had problems every time I have brought my truck here. I went in for new brake pads and rotors and they tried to add on a couple hundred dollars for something they didn't do. The brakes squeaked for a couple weeks and when I went back in they refused to reevaluate the brakes because it was raining. I also had new tires installed here and they tried to add over $400 onto my bill. They were balanced incorrectly and when I brought my truck back to have the wheels rebalanced, nothing changed. They unplugged my dashcam both times I went in and they left my l truck unlocked with the window down overnight. I don't leave reviews often, but the service here is pretty bad. read more

I took my daughter with me to get a quick car wash on Christmas Eve. When we drove into the garage, I forgot to put my car into neutral. There were two guys spraying the car and the guy on the drivers side asked me to place it into neutral. The guy on the passengers side didn't think we could hear (or didn't care) and called me a name while using the "F" word. Well, unfortunately my 7 year old daughter also heard him say this and she was quite upset. This was supposed to simply be a quick car wash and it turned out to be a nightmare. I highly recommend avoiding this business, they obviously do not hire customer friendly staff. Also- their management has deleted my review from their google page several times. A decent tire shop, but they have some problems. 1. Quoted price for tires was not the final bill. The tires went up $60 from quote and I don't know why. 2. Service went smoothly, but the front counter is a disaster. The ONE guy working the counter is getting slammed with calls and customers. I had to wait 20 minutes to pay for the service once it was complete. They must have a system where someone from the back comes up to help the counter guy. He tries his best, but it's an impossible mission. 3. I instructed the counter guy to look in back for the lug nuts/locking nut key/etc. This was not communicated and the techs used the same lugs as where on the winter wheels they took off. Unacceptable! Will go back in later in the week to get a free rotation and install correct lugs. Overall, I like Youngstedt's. But, they have to tighten up their ship a bit. read more

Convenient spot to get a quick car wash. Reasonably priced car wash with free vacuums and towels to clean the interior of the car. I'd recommend asking for a few extra towels so you can wipe down the water spots after the car wash. read more

Had a flat tire in the garage at 6:30 am so I gave the Chanhassen Youngsteds a call. By 7:05 they had me in so I could drop off the the car. It's a Monday, January 2nd (a holiday for most) and these guys are working which is great!!! The customer service I received was great! These guys really know what they are doing. I also had them do an oil change and had a coupon on my phone from their website for a $19.95 oil change!!! Yeah, under $20 for it. Overall just a really good experience working with the Youngsted team! Customer service is always their priority and they took good care of me. They just earned my business going forward! Talk about great service. Youngstedt's owns the car wash next door and my wife went through and came out with a slashed tire. They covered everything and were super nice about it. While I took care of the tire, I bought a prepaid oil change card because the discount was fantastic. Made a 10am apt, by telephone, to have oil changed and investigate a noise in the front end. When I dropped off my car the only thing they knew off was the oil change. Had to call at 3pm about the status of car and they had not worked on car yet. Was told the care was next. Also, service rep has no info about noise. Called again at 5pm. These guys working the front desk excel in every aspect of customer service. Never have I had a problem they couldn't help me resolve while at the desk. I give them five stars for that. However, the repairs I've had done there have been poor in quality. The few times I went in for a repair, it would take way longer than I had estimated and their work leaves me feeling nervous. They are also very expensive and will push repairs on you when they are not needed for another 50k plus miles. But again. Awesome gentlemen working the service counter. I had a bad experience with Youngstedt's, I brought my car in for a screeching noise when the car started. It stopped when I put the car in gear. They told me I need a new transmission. Cost $5,000 dollars. I went to a independent car repair shop (in Chan) for a second opinion. They found out it was the starter for $500 dollars. I called Youngsteds back to let them know that they misdiagnosed the problem. He said he would talk to the employee that diagnosed the car. I wouldn't be writing this if they actually called me back and explained what happened (I had been going to them for years for tires and oil changes, so I expected better customer service). $5,000 is a lot different than $500 and what would have happened when the noise didn't go away?? I took my car in for an oil change and they asked me if my car took full synthetic oil and I said I was not sure. I have never heard of a minivan taking full synthetic as that is usually for higher performance vehicles. I specifically told them if it didn't absolutely need it do not use it. They told me that they looked it up and said my car needed full synthetic oil and that most new cars used it now. When I got home I told my husband about it and he proceeded to tell me that they lied to me. So I decided to call the dealership and was very disappointed when they said that my car did not need full synthetic oil. I called Youngstedts in Chanhassen back and had to tell them that they were wrong as I was dumb enough to think since they were the experts that they knew what they were talking about and they said they weren't aware they could use a regular blend on my car. The manager told me that I could go twice the mileage on that oil change but when I contacted the dealership they stated clearly that doing so would void the warranty on my brand new car! I am thoroughly disgusted that Youngstedts would OUT RIGHT LIE about this. I would never go back again and I will never recommend them to anyone ever!!!!! I am 31 years old and I have never been taken at a car place before because this is the first experience where someone would stoop so low and I think they are very un ethical charging almost $60 for something that should have cost me half that! If they would do this with an oil change I can't help but wonder how they are being deceptive to other people!!!! I have a slightly different story. I went in today to have my final oil change done on a prepaid card at Youngstedts. After that was done they said it would only take 10 minutes more to replace the air filter. After the work was complete he said that the total came to $36.83. I said that sounded high, but paid the bill. After I got back to work I called another Yougstedts in chanhassen and they said the filter would only cost 14.99 with no install fee. I called back to Eden Prarie to complain and they said the air filter I had was a better brand and I wasn't factoring in taxes. TAXES!!! The taxes on 24.99 (the highest price filter they offer for my 2008 honda accord) would never add up to $36.83. They also claimed the $5.00 installation fee added to the price. I found it interesting that no one told me about all these extra charges when I was paying for them. Only when I called back to compain did all these charges start adding up. Who knew a discounted oil change would end up costing so much. I suggest an alternative if you are thinking about taking your car to Youngstedts. read more
