The staff at Your Pets Wellness (Bucktown) are the BEST. I've brought my Frenchie (Winnie) in to see them since she was 3 months old (so for almost 3 years now) and they are always to sweet and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for a better staff to take care of my Winnie girl! Also, highly recommend Dr. Dory, she's the absolute best!

Despite being an inconsistent patient over the years, WLVC re-established us quickly and delivered incredibly attentive, compassionate, research-driven care during her final weeks, with an on-staff insurance specialist handling all the claims paperwork for reimbursement. I am so grateful for the patience, kindness, and professionalism of everyone who dealt with me while I was repeatedly an emotional mess in their office. I could not recommend this practice more.

I was extremely anxious and worried that whatever she ingested could seriously harm her. From the moment we arrived, the team was more than supportive. They saw her immediately, reassured us, and after scans confirmed she'd be okay, walked us through everything calmly and clearly. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared. They even fell in love with her, which helped ease my nerves. What truly set them apart was the post-visit care. During recovery, being able to email back and forth with the doctor including sending photos of anything questionable was a game changer. Responses were quick, thoughtful, and reassuring. We have a regular day-to-day vet, but this is now officially our puppy's ER/Urgent Care.

I understand that prices have gone up everywhere over the past few years, but the increases here feel significant. I recently found a 2021 receipt showing the exam fee was $65 and it's now $88. Nail trims are now an additional $19, which used to be included at some point, and my recent visit for an exam and routine vaccines totaled $300. Unfortunately, it's just no longer affordable for us, so we'll be looking elsewhere.

He is an extremely shy cat who curls up into himself out of fear. The vet and vet techs are always super gentle with him because of how fearful he is. I had him neutered at this location without issue, and the price was reasonable. I have also taken him in for anal gland expression and it was a quick tech visit, so only $32. They were able to get me in on a weekend. One thing I like in particular is that they have their own parking lot. It is small but most places around that location you have to find street parking. This clinic is also responsive via email, and has helped me order flea meds through Chewy. I will continue to bring my cat here and also consider having his teeth cleaned next year, because their prices are fair and their staff is friendly.

I already consulted our general vet and they mentioned it was due to the medication he was on that was making him this way. I just felt like something wasn't right and wanted to see another doctor just in case. I searched around online for the closest one to see if they would schedule us in on the same day but alot of places were not taking in any new patients. I called right when they opened and I believe I spoke with Dr. Beauchamp and explained what was going on with my boy. I was very grateful that she was able to squeeze me in on the same day. Dr. Beauchamp and their team provided such respect and care to my boy. They took a look at him and told me that he did not look well and was needed to be admitted to the hospital right away. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly and answered all the questions I had. Unfortunately, there was alot of complications going on with him that day and he didn't make it. I am extremely thankful that Dr. Beauchamp followed up with me via phone call to see how he was and did not charge me for our first visit. If we were ever to get another pet, I will be 100% taking them here.

My refill ran out and they made me schedule an appointment. In the past my vetinarians had no problem giving me a few pills to hold my dog over until her appointment so she didn't wet herself. But this time they didn't do that. So I went to my appointment the very next day (less than 24 hours after my call) which was scheduled for 2:30pm, we got there early. At 2:46pm I asked the receptionist if they knew when someone would see us, they simply said no, without even trying to find out. At 2:53pm the Manager Manny came in to say someone would be with me shortly but it wasn't their fault because I was early, they somehow had me scheduled for 3pm even though I showed them my email confirmation for 2:30pm. I was finally seen after more than 30 minutes of waiting. After I spoke to the vet who did not seem to know my dogs medical records, they thought the scar on her leg was from an ACL surgery (which she never had), it was from cancer. They were over 30 minutes late and couldn't even read her medical records! Then the vet knocked a glass jar on the ground and tried to move us to another exam room before sweeping it up, I actually had to hask them to clean the broken glass on the floor before letting my dog walk through it. Then towards the end of the exam I noticed a sign on the wall obstructed by fake flowers and a dog treat jar that stated exams are recorded with video and AI is used to assist them, and if you want to opt out of the AI you had to let them know prior to your exam, but you can't read the warning until your exam has already started. When I asked for the video to be deleted the veterinarian said I should have said something before, when I pointed out the fact that I didn't know about the warning until the exam had already begun she got upset, raised her voice and said they'd delete it amd ahe stormed out of the exam room and slamed the door. I asked the incredibly rude manager Manny who I could reach out to about my experience, he sais it was a corporate owned facility. Like that was an excuse to be unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend this place! Edit: Village West Vet corporate tried to blame me in their response to my negative review. They were rude, unprofessional, unsafe and uninformed. They told me I couldn't receive my prescription until bloodwork was done. After I left I noticed I didn't have blood work paperwork, yet I had my prescription so I called back. They said it could take up to 48 hours to get the results, yet had no problem sending me home with a controlled substance which cost much more in their office than online through Chewy. If you don't won't to deal with a corporate owned vet with no feelings in the West Town area of Chicago, I recommend Ukrainian Village Veterinary Center, owned by Dr. Danylo Butenko, DVM, CVA, an independent vetinarian.
