I've been to the original Yoz Shanghai 3 years ago which is right across from the Queens Library inside the Golden Shopping Mall. This newer location is a class above the original one which is more like a night market stalk in Asia. This one is located in the middle of the New World Mall Food Court, a very enticing and mesmerizing place, especially if you're a foodie like me!! Out of the 25-30 eateries in this food court, I can say Yoz Shanghai is definitely one of the better picks. I thought their Duck Noodle Soup is particularly worth trying and offers the best bang for the buck. For $6.50, you get duck meat, deep fried tofu, glass noodles, and some greens with a bowlful of delicious broth. Normally my wife and I would order different dishes and share, but this time, we each got our own because we tried it before and we knew how good it was. It did not disappoint. We especially appreciated this hot delicious soup on this very frigid winter day. Very satisfying!! Highly recommend!

This is my go to in Flushing. One of my favorite duck noodle soup in nyc including the fried dumplings. Don't forget to add the chillies if you like spicy.

This is the only place I know of that that sell tangyuan. It's freshly made and takes around 15 min to prepare. This stall's pretty popular, so order by phone if possible.

After noticing this was Yoz Shanghai that I've always wanted to try that was located by Golden Mall, I had to come and get some soup dumplings. I've read reviews on Yelp about the other location and it was good. I'm not sure if they moved entirely or have a second location. I got the regular soup dumplings, wontons in hot chili oil and plain noodles with scallion oil. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order to be ready because they make the soup dumplings fresh. I took these home to eat and it was still hot when I got home. The soup dumplings are so good and at a great price. I like it better than Joe's Shanghai & Nan Xiang because the soup is so flavorful and the skin is thin but not paper thin where it breaks easily. I love how they put the cabbage under it so it doesn't stick to the styrofoam box and to other soup dumplings. The plain noodles with scallion oil was also great but I can't say the same for the wontons in hot chili oil. It of course isn't spicy at all and there's peanut sauce in it. For my peanut allergy yelpers please take note! I'm definitely coming back and ordering other items on the menu. Once you come down the escalator it's on the right side!

i ordered soup dumplings through doordash and they just gave me basically what they got at the supermarket and i have to cook it myself. mind you i waited 2 hours. a bitch is hungry...

I come here for the old duck noodle soup which I've found tastes better than other vendors in new world mall. So good...can't beat the price either at $6.50 for a bowl. They give you a good portion of meat and noodles.

I come many times and I love their duck noodle soup so much. I have tried different restaurants for this dish in NYC. And this is the most close flavor I can find as similar as I had when I was in shanghak. They make really good soup and it's mild as it should be as the original in China. Very good price, awesome!

I found a hair in the dish. It's so disgusting and uncomfortable after 3 hours. This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants but I won't go next time.

I feel in love with this the first time I tried it! It is absolutely good but one thing you may want to take in concern is the spiciness of this. It really isn't that spicy even with the Most spicy. So if you like spicy food make sure you tell them you want it extra spicy.

Their crab and pork soup dumplings are very good. Really kind of wonderful to get these at the New World Mall food court.

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

The filling was decent, but the vinegar on the side was too mild. I'm used to a darker, more robust vinegar with XLB, so this didn't quite hit. Braised pork - very tender and flavorful, served with quail eggs. This was one of the stronger dishes. Yangzhou fried rice - not too oily which I liked, but served with only 5 an small shrimps... Sweet & sour shredded potato (cold dish) - slightly spicy, I really enjoyed this one. It was part of a promo where you can get it for $1 when you spend $30 on entrees, so definitely worth adding. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Not everything stood out, but it's solid enough that I'd recommend it, and I'd come back to try more of the menu.

However, recently it's been hit or miss. Today was both - the garlic pork belly cold dish was super tasty! The garlic chili oil was spicy, sweet and fragrant. The pork bun ( I have eaten at almost every establishment that serves pork buns in flushing) was disgusting. The pork was almost grey and the it smelled like it was a day away from spoiling. It's really hard to justify a bad experience like this when there are literal hundreds of flushing vendors that serve the exact same cuisine with better quality control. Catch me a Zie Wei Xiao Chi next time I'm in the mood for a pork bun.

I'm always on the hunt for a great xiaolongbao, and I was hoping nothing had changed since my last visit. Thankfully, they were just as good as I remembered. The skin is thin, and there's a generous amount of soup inside, which is exactly what I look for. That said, the crab meat noodles were disappointing this time. The amount of crab meat seemed significantly reduced compared to before, so much so that if I hadn't known what I was ordering, I don't think I would have been able to identify it as crab meat noodles at all. We also tried the osmanthus cakes, which my sister really enjoyed. Personally, I'm not a fan of the mochi-like texture, so while I can appreciate why others might like them, they just aren't for me. The restaurant itself is still beautiful, and the servers remain extremely polite, as you'd expect at a place of this caliber. I'll definitely be coming back again...at least for the soup dumplings.

They are really delicious and definitely one of the highlights of this restaurant! They are just practically overflowing with so much soup, with really thin skins and such fragrant, juicy pork fillings. Some other must-tries: - Chilli oil wontons 紅油抄手 were fantastic. Portion size was a little larger than I expected, and the chilli oil smelled so good! - Scallion pancake with beef 蔥油餅夾牛肉 is one of my favourites. The wrapper was very crispy and the beef was tender and very savoury. The balance of the slightly-sharp scallion flavour was perfect. - Fried chinese chives box 韭菜盒子, another classic. Lovely crispy outside layer with a delicious fresh chives/noodles/etc. filling. - Soymilks - I've had both the hot and cold sweet soymilks, and they are both delicious. You can't go wrong here. The location is a bit hidden (in the back of a small mall), which I suspect is why it's not busier. I've never had to wait, even during weekend lunch hours. Service is always very efficient and to-the-point, which I appreciate.
