    Peking Duck per piece
    Mark S.

This place is what Flushing is all about! Their duck buns are incredibly affordable and even more delicious. The meat is so juicy and tender, and when paired with the crispy, sharp green onions and the soft bun, you get an amazing bite at an extremely affordable price. The service is fast and efficient, and if you don't feel like eating in, you can just use their super convenient takeout window. Just keep in mind they are cash only, but I highly recommend this place!

This place has a nice Shanghai vibe. Decor has scrolls with Chinese sayings and story on the wall and ceiling. Plenty of tables for small or large groups. We had Cold appetizers front the front display area, dimsum dishes, Rice Cake with Shredded Chicken, Shredded Sauteed Cabbage, Scallion Pancake W. Sliced Beef, Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings. Lots of good food! The service was polite and relatively fast. They did not rush you out. Relaxed pace. Okay date place. Parking is a little harder to fine.

Just went for the famous duck bun- really good and quick service (can get at window). Really yummy and affordable- prices have gone up but still a good cheap bite. Overall good- nothing crazy since viral but good

I've been coming here since they first opened and I'm so glad their business has gotten better and better that they've expanded for more dine in seats (they got the place next door and opened up the upper floor). Pretty authentic Shanghainese cuisine, I know it's not as good as those in Shanghai ofc but hey, it's close! Deal for dine in: spend $10 or more and get either free pork soup dumplings (6pcs) or a pc of Peking duck bun per person at the table. I always opt for the soup dumplings! I usually come for breakfast/lunch so I regularly order the same (for 2 persons - to share): - salted tofu pudding - 4 pc turnip puff - 4 pc pork moon cake - shredded pork and preserved vegetable noodle soup - curry beef vermicelli soup Environment: usually busy Service: standard Please note: cash only

Finally able to visit this popular spot. Been hearing great stuff for many years but never dine in until now. Came with friends for an late breakfast (or is it brunch?). There is a dine-in table promotion [must spend $10] which you can get a choice of either: 1 order pork soup dumplings OR 1 piece Peking duck bun per person at the table. We chose the soup dumplings. Family style meal; we ordered: Braised Pork, Fried dough rice roll, Spicy Pork Soup Dumpling, Soy Sauce Duck, Garlic Cucumber, Roast Ribs, and Pan-fried Beef Udon Noodles. Place is super spacious and stretch all the way to the back. Service and staff was quick; staff brought over stuff as soon as it was ready as it was early with only a few other tables filled. Lots of eyes to pay attention to us since they had just opened for the day. Food was good. Spicy pork soup dumplings were not that spicy. Everything was amazing! Flavorful and tender, crispy (duck skin), or crunchy (cucumber). My favorite (also the table's favorite) was the braised pork. So tender and flavorful that it melts in your mouth- goes great with a bowl of hot steaming fresh rice. The garlic cucumber provides a great palate cleanser as it was refreshing. I'm a noodle lover but we did struggle to finish the udon as it wasn't anything special compared to the other dishes. The udon was nicely charred (wok hay) but we enjoyed the other dishes more. Good thing it came last We finished everything even though some were abit heavy for a first meal of the day. That is why you wash everything down with many cups of hot tea!!! At the end of the meal, it even came with a complimentary dessert soup at the end. That was a lovely sweet surprise. Highly recommend! I'm super happy that I was able to visit here and try the food. Although it would also been nice to try their Peking duck bun as they are known for it. Perhaps another visit.

    Pork belly

Everything brought to the table was absolutely amazing! The pork belly was a home run, the soup dumplings was a fan favorite, the asparagus was the best it can be, and oof, that soup. This is the soup you wish you had when you're sick - it's got all the fat, flavor, tons of vegetables and tons of meat. In fact it was so fatty I had to ask for water to dilute it. Come here for a guaranteed amazing time with Chinese food - they know what they're doing and they're not afraid to show off. For the vibes - you can see the amount of work they put into having a traditional theme with flair. Even in food with the pig and pork belly on its back - hilarious!

This is the only restaurant that reminds me a little of home in Shanghai. I'm from LA, so whenever I'm in NYC this is a must visit restaurant. My must get items are the XLB, pan fried pork dumplings, duck vermicelli. The XLB has the perfect thickness of skin to soup and filling ratio that reminds me of the XLB in Shanghai. All the other breakfast items are childhood nostalgic items that I used to get as a kid walking to school. When you're done with your meal they give a complimentary dessert which is awesome. Service is pretty friendly and they bring out food quickly. I wouldn't expect asian restaurants to give phenomenal service anyway as I'm going for the food.

Came here for the peking duck and was pleasantly surprised by the Bao Zi and the Xiao Long Bao! Service was typical Chinese restaurant and ambiance was good. If you spend $10+ dining in you can get the Xiao Long Bao for free! Peking Duck - 9.5/10, around $2.75 each which is pretty fairly priced (half duck is more worth though), it was pretty good but nothing special Pan Fried Bao Zi - 10/10, super juicy and delicious! Xiao long bao - 9/10, typical xiao long bao but this was great on a rainy day! Would stop by again just because of the great deal and food!

Still solid Peking Duck stall at the front, where you can get a slice of crispy Peking duck skin and cucumber/scallion with sauce, on a soft bao bun for 2.75 each. They also have a takeout area for dimsum - very popular with the leek and shrimp dumplings, the fried crullers that sold out twice while we were there, and lots of other items to-go.

Such delicious dim sum eats! This is my parent's go to whenever we're in flushing. It's not the cart dimsum but rather ordering off the menu. It was super affordable, quick, and they had a deal and we were able to get free xiaolongbao (yum!). Don't be deceived by the exterior, there's ample seating inside. Service was super quick and efficient, couldn't ask for anything more.

Loved this place! We wanted dim sum and picked this one out thanks to great rating on Yelp and elsewhere. WARNING: if you're driving to this part of Queens, be prepared for heavy traffic and an exhaustive search for parking. I wound up getting a parking ticket (my fault I ignored a no stopping sign) so my lunch carries a $138 fee - but that's not the eatery's problem. Let's get back on track; The food was delicious. We just wanted a quick lunch and it hit the spot magnificently. The service was fast, friendly, and they even gave us extra dishes on the house. The dim sum kept coming and we all wanted to order more even though we weren't hungry! The inside is clean and pleasantly decorated. Overall it was a really great meal and we would absolutely go back.

Soup dumplings and more! Shanghai You Garden has been my go to stop for soup dumplings. Always so good! Cash only when I went and service is pretty fast. The place can get loud is there is a ton of people and of course a line, but worth it I say. I was happy they extended their place to have a to-go pick up side for dim sum and Peking duck buns. I got some dim sum and it was pretty good, my favorite is the beef rice roll. Definitely coming back for more.

Price (Cash Only) + Food Quality = Amazing!!!! They have an outdoor to-go service, or you can be seated inside. We were seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon. The service was so fast!!! Comfortable and cozy environment. They have a few dine-in promotions when you spend $10 or more which were delicious (pork soup dumplings or pecking duck bun) The portions are HUUUGEEE! Truly had so much to go. My fiance doesn't eat pork and he still had many options to choose from. I will definitely be back and this time with more people to enjoy more food.

The staff wanted my wife to sit at an angle to the table; so that they could pass through. The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.

There are some generally Good (4 stars) places, like Asian Jewels and Emperor Seafood, but most other places are somewhere between OK and Good (between 3 and 4 stars). Royal Queen 君豪大酒楼 is part of that latter group -- there are good things, but there is also mediocrity; and there are customer service issues. The good: - Beef Rice Noodle Rolls: The rice noodle rolls here are generally silky soft. There is supposedly parsley in the beef mince but we noticed little to none in the versions we've had. Royal Queen is generous with the sweetened soy sauce; they pour it from a teapot. - Pan-Fried Leek Dumplings 韭菜煎蝦餃: the shrimp are generally fresh and crisp. - Shrimp Siu Mai with Pork 蝦粒乾蒸燒賣: above average. - The Osmanthus Jelly 杞子桂花糕 has a deeper hue than most other places in Queens. The OK: - Five-Spice Braised Beef Tendon 五香蒸牛筋: pieces are generally little too large and not as consistently soft as other places. - Steamed Leek Dumplings: get the pan-fried version instead. - Stuffed Peppers 煎釀青椒: as with other places, inconsistently cleaned so there can be one or two bites that have an extreme amount of heat. - Shrimp Siu Mai: essentially the same as the ha gow, but in a different wrapper. I think we prefer the shrimp siu mai over the ha gow here. The Could Be Better: - Taro Dumplings (Wu Gok 芋角): lacks ingredients in the filling. - Staffing and Quality Control Issues: Royal Queen has plenty of staff, yet sometimes there aren't enough people working the dim-sum carts. Like many other Chinese restaurants, it seems that staff aren't empowered to address food quality issues. - The restrooms can be pretty good compared to those in other parts of the building. We observed people come into and out of the restaurant seemingly just to use the restrooms. However, there are times when the restrooms could be better maintained.

The dim sum overall is decent and priced reasonably. I have been here for dim sum, small meals, as well as large banquets. I have never left here wow'ed by the food, but also never left unsatisfied. Due to its advantages, it will always stay in my mind as a good backup when I need a place last minute.

Dim sum quality on par with other restaurants in downtown Flushing, and prices are competitive. Lastly tips are included in final bill so no need to figure out amount separately.

The noodles were incredibly bouncy and had an amazing mouth feel. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor. I'm allergic to shrimp and got the vegetable broth with beef and was worried about that flavor but it was so amazing I plan to become a regular. My husband enjoyed the traditional shrimp wonton soup and he said it was delicious!! Small inside dining area but on a weekday we had no wait. There was also "outdoor" dining area Can't wait to return (salivating writing This review )

I ate in the enclosed patio which only had two tables, and the inside didn't seem much bigger. There is no bathroom for customers so don't bank on bio breaks here. It's efficient in that I was seated promptly, was able to place my order when I was ready, and the food came out lickety-split. Carry cash for a discount. I ordered the Wonton, Dumpling, & Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($14.75) under the "Popular Items" section of the menu since it seemed sampler-esque. The wontons and dumplings were similar since they both contained shrimp and pork but I leaned towards the dumplings since they also included mushroom, bamboo, wood ear, and chives. The duck egg noodles, beef, and broth rounded out the awesomeness. Can't wait to return with others!
