Oh boy. Where do I start?…read more I came in to quickly to find a dress a few weeks before giving birth. I had my toddler with me and wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. I selected three dresses I thought might work with my baby bump. A staff member asked if she could set up a changing room for me, and I said sure. When I got to the changing room, she'd for some reason selected six or seven other dresses for me also, effectively tripling my try-on time. I gave all the dresses a chance to be polite, and only one fit over my bump. (I suspect this salesperson had never been pregnant). A few of them were hideous and made me feel embarrassed she thought I would want to wear them. I ended up buying a dress, but it was one of the ones I picked out for myself, and I was tired and cranky from having my time wasted and being forced to make nice with a salesperson when I am very introverted and don't have energy for extra conversation even when I'm not pregnant with a toddler. Also, there was barely room for my stroller to get through the store! After all that, I don't know if I see myself coming back. On the other hand, this would have been a great experience for someone who's more extroverted and wanted personalized help. With that in mind, I've given four stars--but please try to help your staff understand why this approach is probably alienating some customers.

The lady checking us out moved slowly and continued to push us to buy the Nordstrom credit card after we repeatedly said no. A little annoying but no biggie since I know it's her job.

A few months ago, my husband was with me at the Creekside location and was standing outside the dressing rooms holding my purse. One of the women there rudely asked him what he was doing there. He was nicely dressed and neatly groomed and it embarrassed him. He politely told her that he was waiting for me while I was trying on clothes. She didn't bother to apologize. It wasn't rocket science, he was holding a purse in a clothing store waiting for his wife. He didn't tell me this until we were home, which is probably a good thing. I called the district manager about it, and apparently he didn't find it necessary to fire this rude woman because she is still there. I avoided this store for quite a while but I was in the area and went back a few days ago because it was the first day of their big sale. Nothing there has changed. The women there do not greet you when you walk in, my shoulder was about to break before anyone offered me a dressing room and when I got to the checkout, one of the women made it very clear that she was much too busy to help me so she sent me to a woman named Nancy. Nancy was impatient and unfriendly and rude. I was trying to look at the tags and she very bluntly told me that she would take care of it. She charged me too much for one of the blouses, but I'm not going back there to show her the error. I was trying to talk to her, but I couldn't hear her because the rude lady who told me she was too busy to help me was yelling numbers and information to another woman across the store. Really? This couldn't wait? The Foothill store wraps your purchases neatly in tissue paper and asks if you would like boxes for any of the garments. Nancy shoved my garments in a bag like they do at Walmart. I have two sisters who live close to that Chico's and have had similar experiences and now drive to the Foothill store. I would suggest that the Creekside ladies learn some manners and customer service from Susan, Linda, and the other ladies at the Foothill store.

Highly recommend asking for Mattie, and choosing Dillard's for your fragrance desires in Utah.

I ended up taking jewelry upstairs to the International Concepts (INC) department where there was actually an employee at the register who was interested in helping customers. Tina was friendly and able to give me the best prices both times I was in her department. Macy's has constant sales but I usually don't have the paper coupons with me; Tina was able to apply discounts anyway. Yay! I wandered around housewares and several other department without ONE employee offering assistance. The jewelry department women turned their backs and were busy on computers instead of helping customers even though there several of us around. Nicole, who I found out later is the store manager, was amazing. She asked how she could help me and actually got items I previously bought on sale but couldn't pick up until later, and had them at the INC register for me. Thankful for her and Tina.

I have been to Ypsilon the last two years for my Prom or Special Occasion dresses and I would reccomend it to anyone. Everyone there is so personable and they are not afraid to tell you something doesn't look good on you. That's what you need though right? My favorite consultant was Amanda Gold, she helped me out every time I went in besides this last weekend. I came to find out that she had moved away, she knew my taste and pulled dresses for me with ease. Eventhough Amanda wasn't there I still had an amazing consultant(s) on a very busy Saturday. All the employees called me by name and ensured that I found the dress I was looking for. I will never go to another dress shop. A+ keep up the amazing work Ypsilon! read more

I went into ypsilon at trolley square mall with my girlfriend. She was looking for a good looking dress for an evening party we were attending. The store was spacious with a great selection of dresses. Aside from the styles (which my girlfriend loved) I was most impressed with the experience and service we received. The sales girl that helped, gave great advice, and helped us pick out the perfect dress for the occasion. The dress was reasonably priced, but more importantly the level of service, professionalism, and expertise was incredible. I'd recommend ypsilon to anyone looking for a dress. My mom and I went to the store in search for a quinceanera dress. I was stressed and beginning to worry that I wouldn't find a dress in time for my party because I'd been to so many stores then I came to Ypsilon Dresses and that all changed. Right as I walked in the employees welcomed me and helped me in everyway they could. I stopped in to find a dress for a cocktail party and was expecting the same overwhelming/pushy service as many big dress stores in the area. The girl that helped me was instead very honest and seemed committed to making sure I had a dress I felt perfect in and comfortable with the price. The owner was in the store as well that day and came out to help as well. They made me feel like helping me was the most important thing they had to do. I have had the pleasure of going to Ypsilon several times for buying prom dresses with my daughter and helping her find a dress for the Miss Utah Teen USA pageant. My daughter and I visited the Trolley Square Mall looking for a prom dress. We were very impressed with the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. For a work formal event, I would skip it.

I loved it even more after they showed me how it would look with added sleeves -- I was told they could be sewn on, which sounded perfect. However, when I came in for alterations and explained exactly how I wanted the sleeves attached, I was disappointed to find that they were still clipped on in the front. Only the back was sewn, and the front clips came off almost immediately -- just like they did in the beginning. Sadly, one sleeve actually popped off while I was walking down the aisle, which really impacted our ceremony and made me feel uncomfortable on such an important day. I also had a very poor experience with the front desk staff. The woman I interacted with was unfriendly and didn't seem suited for a customer-facing role. She didn't know the prices for the veil and accessories, and I was ultimately overcharged. When I mentioned the price was different than what I'd been told, she simply said, "Well, that's what you have to pay," which was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place -- especially now that they only sell dresses. With my experience, it just wasn't worth the money or the stress.

At most, there are only 3 customers in the store at a time to give you a more personalized experience. It's nice to have the attention of one employee and to not be surrounded by multiple girls also needing attention and dresses to try on. The associate will ask what your budget is up front and stick within that budget the entire time. I like that she even pulled dresses that were below my budget. The shop I went to before this one always gave me dresses that were either exactly my budget or just over it. I appreciated that aspect of this experience. Not only is this shop beautiful, but it offers so many dress options to choose from. The girl helping me was experienced with all the dresses offered in the shop and asked me specific questions of what I was looking for. When she came back from pulling dresses for me to try on, they were all exactly what I was envisioning and described. I tried on several dresses, but the one I bought really is "The Perfect Dress." I am so happy with my purchase and I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day! Why I didn't give it the full 5 stars: once I had told the girl I was buying my dress, her attitude changed from friendly to getting me out because she had "made her sale." She was more than happy to answer questions before I bought the dress, but once I asked another dress question after the sale, she told me to just google it. I also wish they offered alterations in house, like other bridal shops do. She did give me a list of seamstresses to reach out to, but kept changing the name of the person she was recommending. Ultimately, I would still recommend this store to anyone buying a wedding dress. The selection is one of the best and I am in love with my dress. The disappointing part was the end of the appointment, which wasn't the five star experience as the beginning was.

Come to find out that the price for the seamstress to fix it was only a few hundred less then buying a brand new dress in my size. I wish I had done that. I know I could've made a different choice but I was dress shopping on my own at 20 and didn't really have anyone to go to for advice. I put all my trust into Bitsy. At my last fitting the seamstress let me know that the beaded pattern on the front would have to be cut up on one side. The pattern was supposed to be symmetrical. It ruined the whole dress for me. It did not even end up fitting me correctly, it wasn't snug enough on my breasts but too tight on my waist so my boobs were being pushed up and out in a weird and uncomfortable way. Luckily my hair was thick and to my butt so it covered it up. Then on my wedding day my strap broke during my ceremony. I had to change out of my dress for my dinner. Now I can't even sell or rent out the dress because it is so lopsided. I'm sad and frustrated that I ended up spending so much on something that was supposed to be so important to be. I would not recommend this shop after this experience.

I told them my budget for a VEIL was $900 and they were very unhelpful because of my budget. They showed me 2 veils. Didn't really ask or ofter to show anything else. I can't imagine a bridal shop would not have any veils for less than $1000. Made all kinds of comments about my budget. I was not happy and wanted to leave.

The added fabric wasn't even the same color white and was super obvious in pictures and needed to be heavily edited. I paid for express shipping from the designer that was not delivered on the timeline they provided, nor was I updated about it being late, which put unnecessary stress on the wedding vendors I had hired. On top of everything, The attendant also made comments to me in the dressing room about my body that me feel really self conscious. I have several friends who bought from here as well and had similarly bad experiences. I've never actually heard of anyone having a positive experience here.
