    Shrimp fried rice
    Lee E.

I just ordered the shrimp fried rice interesting enough the flavors reminded me of chicken noodle soup. I can't explain it. I don't think I'd order it again. The customer service experience was unpleasant, almost grumpy.

    Location

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. my boyfriend has a severe peanut allergy and whoever took the food order over the phone made note of it. After taking a bite of the egg roll (which apparently had peanut sauce), we had to rush to the ER. when we called to speak to the owner/manager, they refused to refund us and stated that we needed to bring the food back. They said we could file it with their insurance company and was super argumentative; no apology - nothing!

Dragon with Phoenix (General Tso's and Hot & Spicy Shrimp. Good stuff.

OK, I need to clarify this..by calling it "takeout" I mean the Americanized version, chicken often breaded, sticky and sweet..Not authentic. I'm one of the few it seems that enjoys both types. Sometimes I crave my chicken sweet and breaded, so sue me. That being said, back to my original review... Very good Chinese takeout with large portions and excellent value. General Tso's is some of the better I've had in OKC..sweet, spicy with the vinegar kick all equally covered. It was overbreaded some and a bit mild, but definitely on the right track. They said I can customize the sauce, so next visit I'm going to try to crank up the volume. Spicy Shrimp was pretty good as well, but the loads of tiny diced vegetables were kind of hard to eat with the tiny, flimsy plastic forks. Spicy sauce is not that spicy, just sweet and sour simmered, simple, but it went well with the shrimp. Shrimp were perfectly cooked. TIP: order the Dragon & Pheonix for $9.95 and they will let you combine hefty portions of 2 different entrees. The family here is very friendly and accommodating. We dined in, but the place is really more set up for takeout and delivery. They don't even have cups for water, and bottled water costs 75 cents. One issue...is the annoyingly loud door bell really necessary? Maybe turn it down some? It was very loud to everyone waiting or dining up front.

OK, food, decent service. I don't know why, but they're the only place near us that delivers Chinese food.

Standard take out menu. Nothing special. The host team was kind and food prep complete at the projected time. Consistent visit after visit.

This is my go to take out place. The dumplings and crab rangoons are uniquely wonderful. Give them a try if you're driving by.

The inside has been decorated with Asian appointments. The table spacing of four tops around the perimeter of the dining room is comfortable. The round tables in the center are graciously spaced. A couple of the round tables have large lazy susans to faciliate sharing family style dishes. Both the exterior and interior are uninspiring. The vibe is tired, but the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Their menu is grouped by offering and price. Lunch combination plates comes with a variety of set offerings. Lunch combination "A" ($10.95) comes with the Soup of the Day, an Egg Roll, Rice and crab ragoon. Then you select from another list of items such as sweet and sour pork to complte your order. We ordered from combination plate "B" ($11,95). It comes with soup of the day, rice, egg roll and fried shrimp. I then selected black peppered chicken. Jan went with brocoli beef and sweet and sour pork. It did take me a moment to figure out the menu. At first glance, the menu seemed convoluted and difficult. They offer combination plate "C" ($9.50) that is set with crab ragoon and rice. Then the lunch menu continues. We were both pleased. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dishes were tasteful, and the volume was more than adequate.

I looked at the reviews and everything told me they are as good as they claim, without being "Breaking The Bank Account." The online services are good. Ordered meals for a robust two person dinner for home, because we just wanted to eat at home after a long busy day at work. Nothing fancy, just a comfort meal in bed while watching a Rom-com Movie and enjoying our beautiful dinner. I for one absolutely LOVE Curry Chicken over white rice. The recipe and portions are perfect. So anything you order should be a "Home Run" meal from Grand China! I grew up being able to eat The Original "Jackson Street" San Francisco China Town Center Chinese Food Restaurants. History: San Francisco China Town is the original destination for Millions of Chinese Immigrants who came to America directly from China to work on The Trans-Continental Railroad in the early 19th Century.
