There's only 1 counter for you to order if you come during lunch time, make sure you know what you prior to coming there. They had a promotion when I went which was 1 free triangle gimbap with every 4 pieces. I got the spicy chicken (bukdak) which ended up being my favourite thing - flavourful, spicy and lots of chicken! It was wrapped in a way so that the seaweed was separated from the rice to ensure freshness/crispness I didn't heat up the tofu pieces, with hindsight, I should've listened to the recommendation. I have nothing bad to say, each piece was stuffed to the brim and tasty.

finally had the chance to try Yubu's tofu pocket sushi for the first time. There's quite a selection to choose from which makes it so hard if you're indecisive like me. Each piece is quite big which makes it messy to eat. My favourites were the garlic mushroom and spicy chicken since they were the most flavourful. There's a lot of rice in each piece so it does feel quite heavy and hence why four piece sets are the perfect quantity. Overall we enjoyed the food, but they are on the pricey side so we definitely won't be coming too often. . . If you like inari sushi (tofu pockets filled with rice), this is heaven for you. YUBU specializes in yubuchobap (Korean-style inari sushi) with many varieties of toppings including fresh salmon, torched salmon (with a very delicious sauce), tuna, kimchi fried rice (topped with mini fried quail egg), crab salad, kimchi tofu, garlic mushrooms, seaweed salad, egg, and more (including vegan and vegetarian options). They also serve onigiri, bulgogi bowl, and cold drinks. I tried 3 of the yubu (fresh salmon, torched salmon, and garlic mushrooms) - they're all excellent and very delicious. The outer tofu skin is perfectly sweet in a savoury way. The toppings are delectable, especially the garlic mushrooms (love the crispy garlic in combination with the soft mushrooms). Loved the little bit of uni paste and tobiko on top of the fresh salmon. I also tried the tuna onigiri. I liked that the tuna inside was flavourful and contained very minimal mayo (barely saw or tasted the mayo at all, which was awesome). But I wish there was more of the filling in the onigiri (it was still mostly rice). The rice in both the yubu and gimbap was perfectly soft and packed at the same time, which held its shape well as a vessel. It was flavourful and had a nice aroma. The place is more of a take-out place, in the same building as a few other quick-serve food and drink vendors (Korean hot dog, bubble tea, yogurt). There are a few chairs to sit down, but no table.

Korean tofu pockets are the perfect snack or light meal. They're filling and come in a variety of delicious combinations. Personally, I'm a fan of the bulgogi and torched salmon. And for a quick and easy treat, try microwaving them for just 30 seconds - It is a warm and delicious bite that will satisfy any craving. It's great that they have a microwave in the store, but they don't have any tables - only chairs for you to sit in. It's good enough for a quick meal, though. Additionally, the staff is very friendly. Even if an item isn't displayed, they will still make it for you.

I was starting to get really hangry and irritated after walking around the city all day. We started with Korean beer and shots of Jinro Is Back Soyu. It was a good idea. Overall the food was quite good. I recommend everyone to check this restaurant out for themselves. The Korean pancake with seafood and vegetables was huge and much crispier than the one I've tried before. My beef tartare bibimbap was perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to have it right now. The sizzling hot plate with pork and squid also looked very impressive. It must have been delicious as well, because one of my companions ate the whole thing with no problem. The spicy shredded beef brisket stew/soup 'Yukgaejang' was something which i wouldn't survive, but my man finished everything to the last drop. Jin Dal Lae is the number one restaurant when searching for Korean food in Toronto on Yelp. I'm glad we gave this place a try.

Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
