The other leg, a knee needed reconstruction. I could barely put weight a little on one leg when I got there. The Physical Therapy section of the care was excellent. Even when I could barely move the legs they had me getting my blood circulating with stretch bands in bed and lifts. I felt so inspired to heal. We worked so well together, my team who helped with all kinds of care, from clean ups, bathing, the meal plan, the medications and even some fun activities such as painting, word games, number games and searches. There were special events such as ethnic music and dance, an ice cream social, and birthday celebrations. Staff people, nurses and assistents were cheerful and helpful. Administration: top notch. I considered staying longer, but the care was so efficient at getting me back on my feet again that I got to leave two months early! I even went back to visit some of my friends-- both patients and staff, and felt welcome and almost like home! No wonder this place is always full to capacity with people lined up to get in! Thank you to every person who contributed to such a speedy recovery! They made sure that I got home safely, as well. 10/10 I highly recommend this facility!

My grandma is currently living at Highland Care Center of Redlands…read more The communication from staff has not been the best. We've called many times and left messages with no word back. It's very upsetting to not get through to nursing staff or doctors for updates. My grandma has dementia and we just want to see how she is doing and try to coordinate care/ determine placement based on her individual needs. The bathrooms were gross. Smelled like urine. The facility is not horrible, but it could be cleaner. The care seemed fine, from what I was able to observe while visiting. My grandma ate breakfast, which consisted of eggs, toast, a fruit and oatmeal. It looks like they have scheduled groups/ classes for residents. That is great. The residents were so sweet. My grandma has made some friends, which makes me happy. The facility is not very big. They do have an outdoor area for residents to walk around. That's nice.

It can be difficult to find a place where you feel truly confident leaving someone you love, but the Palm Center has given us that peace of mind. The facility is clean and well-maintained, the food is very good, and there are always plenty of nurses available. What really stands out is how quickly they respond -- whenever the call button is pressed, someone always comes right away. You can tell they genuinely care about their residents. Because of their kindness, professionalism, and the level of comfort they provide to both residents and families, I feel they truly deserve a full five-star rating.

The office staff consistently demonstrate a lack of sympathy, empathy, and basic respect for families who are clearly going through difficult and emotional situations. Instead of support and guidance, you are met with dismissiveness and frustration. This experience was not only disappointing but deeply upsetting. During a time when compassion and professionalism should be the standard, this facility failed entirely. Terrible shape. I go visit her the next day she tells me she had fallen in the bathroom. I asked the nurses no one nobody fall so I talked to the administrator Oliver. He said he would conduct an investigation and call me in a couple of hours. I neveeceived the phone call so I w ent back later on that evening he said that they determined that she did not fall that she was imagining things and that ​she possibly missed me. Very unprofessional. Turns out State found them negligent. The cookies I even took to her that evening were stolen. Administrator made fun of me saying he would return the cookies and a laughing manner.

I would not recommend Grand Terrace Health Care Center. My father's physician orders clearly…read morespecified his medication dosage, yet he was given 1.25 mg instead of 0.25 mg--a 500% dose. The error was only discovered because I specifically asked to review his medication list myself. When I questioned the staff, I was told the hospital had provided the incorrect dosage. After reviewing the records, I concluded that explanation was not accurate. Rather than taking accountability, I felt the responsibility was shifted elsewhere. What concerned me even more was the pressure I felt to sign an arbitration agreement that would limit my ability to bring legal claims. Between the medication error, the lack of accountability, and that experience, I have serious concerns about the quality of care and transparency at this facility. Families should carefully review their loved one's medications and ask questions.

She had a hard time with the call button. Her room mate was very loud and was giving the staff a really hard time. I had to switch mom to another room with better access to the toilet. She did better with her physical therapy in the new room too. They got her to walk again after her fall last January she stayed til March The staff did their best but was under staffed at times it took awhile to answer the call button. My mom said she got tired of waiting and used her wheelchair to get to the toilet. The girls never came to help some of the time. It was better than some places I've seen and worked in. They are willing to work hard for you. I would have given a 3.8 but this was not possible with this rating system, Another bright spot is Julia and Ken in physical therapy. This department deserves a 5.
