If I could give Yucca Valley Towing TEN STARS, I would. I somehow ended up out in the middle of nowhere, kind of near the Giant Rock, stuck in a drift of soft sand. (I blame it on my GPS; it told me to go right on a couple of tire tracks which led straight into the sand drift.) I tried and tried to get out but my car kept sinking deeper and deeper into the sand. After calling 911, I was transferred to the CHP who asked if I needed a tow truck. YES!! David from Yucca Valley Towing to the rescue. He found me (in the middle of nowhere), hooked me up with a tow and in literally five minutes I was back in business and rolling down the gravel road towards pavement. And bless David for telling me this happens all the time and that I was not a complete idiot. He was so nice to a stranded traveler! From the time I called 911 to the time I reached pavement was less than an hour. And this was IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. TEN STARS! (PS. Don't be like me; don't trust your GPS with your life in the middle of nowhere. And make sure you have a charged cell phone and plenty of water at all times.) read more

These guys picked up my truck where it was on a back street in Joshua Tree according to the guy that I spoke with initially. I was told that they have the truck but that it was not registered to me, and I explained that I am the legal titled owner since 2012. The man said that I had to call back during business hours and that would be the following morning at eight o clock in the morning. I called back and Kevin told me that he was not going to speak to me about my truck and that I needed to call the CHP and speak to a certain officer. I requested the towing information on my truck and who authorized the tow and why it was towed, as well as the time date etc. Kevin said again and again that he wasn't going to talk to me about it and demanded that I speak to the same officer. He absolutely would not talk to me even after I called CHP and the person who answered my call told me that my truck was towed for registration and that I needed to renew the registration, and I could retrieve my truck. I spoke to Kevin again and he still would not speak to me about my truck and long story short is that I was not given one piece of paper from Yucca Valley Towing and I was not allowed to get my belongings that were in my truck and most of what I had in my truck was two bags of tools in the back seat and some in the bed of the truck and important papers and sentimental items that i had in there that belong to my father who passed away in 2023. I requested itemized billing statements from them as well as my things and what they sold my truck for. How am I not allowed these things? I am it's the law that i am entitled to these things. When I spoke with Kevin last and requested these things again, he stated to me that my truck was gone, and I asked about my things, and he said the truck is gone. I requested the paperwork that I never got, and he hung up on me. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and Yucca Valley Towing never responded to the complaint. This is the next step for me and then I will address them with certified documentation regarding these issues. I was not allowed to even show proof of ownership of my truck which I expressed several times that I had. My intention with this long review is not to discourage anyone from using Yucca Valley Towing. I am simply stating my experience with this company and by no means is this to be taken out of context as a bashing session. I'm sure to a lot of people that they would handle their jobs as they should and treat their customers as they should be treated, but as for me and my situation I lost the only transportation that I had and belongings inside my truck. Only a few months later in November of last year my trailer caught fire and I lost all I had including my bulldog of nine years Roko, then someone stole my truck that my father left to me only two days after the fire and his utility trailer these were the only things that made it through the fire. When a company does not follow protocol and California towing laws they are breaking the law and violating my civil rights. Not to mention having no second thoughts of how what they took from someone who is barely getting by simply because they cannot afford the things that need to be done affects their life and sets them back I struggle with heart failure and other issues and am now displaced awaiting my disability and nowhere to go and no family. What happened to people caring about the less fortunate people and what they are doing to them while they simply move forward with their lives. David is an exceptional human ! Very considerate very attentive to people in distress. Has sometimes even stopped by the side of the road to offer a quick gal of gas if someone is stranded on the side of road due to running out of gas. His entire family is in the military as well as himself... although retired now. He is constantly helping wherever he can at the military base and families in the police force. David is quite the upstanding model citizen. He believes in this country and is extremely patriot about it. I like that. He also came to my aid and has the cleanest tow truck inside and out !
