    1. Tofu & Galbi(Beef BBQ Ribs)

Service is super friendly. We got the kalbi and triple spicy tofu. The tofu is not as spicy as BCD but there's a lot more flavor. Lots of gochugaru in the soup which is nice. Banchan was really good too but their kimchi tasted a little diluted. Beer and soju is a little on the pricey side lol

Food is good but the prices cannot be justified with the portion sizes they're giving. Bibimbap comes in a huge bowl but there's like half a serving in it. We got the stone bowl one, but the rice wasn't crispy at all but that's ok. Tofu stew didn't come with rice, but maybe it's because we got the tofu stew+bibimbap combo. I was hoping they would have the same banchan as the garden grove location, but that's not the case :(

Second time at Kaju! Loving how attentive the servers are. They remember your orders, bring extra panchan upon request, and the cooks in the back are making excellenttttt galbi, pork tofu soup, and crispy scallion pancakes. Yum! The open seating is excellent there's plenty of room for guests and the bathrooms are so clean.

One of my favorite tofu spots in Irvine. The food and service are consistently good here. The ambience is lively with kpop playing in the backdrop.

Even in takeout form, Kaju Soft Tofu is so delicious! I ordered: Tofu + Galbi (Beef BBQ Ribs) Combo: one of my favorite combinations ever! You can customize the Soft Tofu soup, and I did seafood this time for a little surf and turf with the tasty Galbi. This hits the spot every time, especially when it's a bit chilly outside. Galbi Tang: So comforting and hearty! Ribs were cooked super well and it was satisfying to gnaw them off the bone, haha. Soup has great depth of flavor and love adding in the glass noodles. Japchae: love how savory this is with just a hint of sweetness and great texture! Side of Kimchi (16 oz): Kaju Soft Tofu's version is my favorite - it's not too spicy so I can even eat it plain as a snack. I wanted extras to eat over the next few days, so I ordered this side. This came with a generous portion of 3 banchans: delicious bean sprouts, kimchi (napa cabbage), and kimchi cucumbers. Even for a takeout order, the service was great because everything was packed very nearly and there weren't any leaks. Thank you!!

Stopped by Kaju Soft Tofu for lunch with a couple of friends on a weekday, and we were seated immediately, which was a great start. I ordered the galbi tofu soup (mild), and on a cold afternoon, it absolutely hit the spot. The broth was rich and comforting, with great flavor and a generous amount of tender meat. Everything was served perfectly alongside the rice and banchan. My favorite side dishes were the cucumber kimchi and the bean sprouts--both fresh, flavorful, and well seasoned. The ladies working were very kind and attentive, happily refilling our sides as we enjoyed them, which we really appreciated. My friends ordered the wild mushroom tofu soup and the sesame tofu soup, and both were just as delicious. Overall, a satisfying, comforting meal with great service--definitely a solid spot for a cozy lunch, especially on a chilly day.

There was no waitlist when my friend and I arrived. The workers were very friendly and accommodating. I got the seafood and beef tofu soup with a spice level of mild. The tofu soup consisted of oyster, shrimp, clam and beef. The soup came out piping hot and very flavorful. I enjoyed all the banchan that they offered. The fried dumplings were delicious as well. My nephew fell asleep but he ate it the next day and loved it. Overall, I would come back to this place

Haiku: Kaju Soft Tofu Korean tofu Combo meals available All-you-can-eat sides. -- You must order the Galbi BBQ beef ribs. They are succulent, tender, and full of flavor. The soondubu soup and their banchan sides' flavors are more on the mild side. Maybe we're comparing it to their Buena Park counterpart, where their broth taste is superior in savoriness and sides are more varied and flavorful. For the littles, they offer a baby plain tofu soup for $5. This is perfect for my kid bc she likes the tofu soup and fills up on the galbi beef ribs. Service is no nonsense, and possibly short staffed. We had to flag someone for some help and they didn't come around to offer more sides. The interior space reminds me of a traditional hanok--where it features the wooden frame structures. We're fans of Kaju's Buena Park location, so we assumed it'd be the same in food and service. I think we'll stick to our fave location for soondubu.

Delicious food and peaceful atmosphere. We came on a Monday night so there was not many people which was peaceful. We ordered seafood and beef tofu with beef kalbi and japchae. The food was delicious. The japchae, although higher price point, portion size was good. The tofu bowl looks small but I couldnt compare to other tofu places. The kalbi was delicious and tender. Unlimited banchan that tastes good. The last one that we asked for it, the waitress gave a little attitude but did serve it to us. Other than this instance, service was pretty good. Authentic korean food with korean employees. At authentic restaurants, I don't take attitude personally as long as the food and service are good. I would come back again for the food.

The food here was pretty good actually. We came in with our BCD experience (LOL) and was trying to figure out could we just come here instead in the future. And yes! It was great and the food was passable along with the there being a basically non existent line. Really enjoyed it. Service was a bit lacking and rather middling as the server was slightly rude but it may have been her bad day or what not so I won't hold it too much against her but still... food makes up for it though! The restaurant was pretty empty and was pretty nice and tidy, I also liked how it was much more relaxing and calm and how much more quiet it was compared to like BCD so overall, not a bad experience.

Food tasted good just like what you would typically have at BCD. We came on a weekday lunch and it wasn't busy at all. What I will say is that their customer service needs some work and could use a bit of friendliness. The older lady who was helping us gave off a rude tone the moment we started ordering. I actually didn't think anything of it at first but as time went on and even though we said thank you every time she brought our food over, there was no acknowledgement whatsoever. Also we tried to flag her down for banchan refills however she passed us and went to help the other nearby 2 tables instead... Because of this we had to get the attention of the other waitress with glasses who was actually kind on the contrary. Overall, the lack of friendliness and overall general customer service overlooked the entire experience unfortunately. I think we'll be sticking to BCD.

ORDER galbi + seafood tofu soup combo (4/5) it came with 6 pieces of galbi & a small tofu soup. both were delicious and packed with flavor. the meat was a little tough, but no big deal. they give plenty of side dishes that are free refills as well. my biggest complaint is a fly in the fish cake... i told one of the workers and she just replaced it with new fish cake. however, the side dishes are prepared in bulk so if there's a fly in my portion, the whole batch is contaminated. unfortunately, i noticed towards the end of my meal :') SERVICE quick service, just wished the fly issue was acknowledged rather than overlooked. AMBIANCE parking may be a little hard to find, but there was no wait on a thursday night. spacious restaurant with plenty of seats.

Definitely an experience; the soup is good for sure--the fish was way too bony for me, but that's the fish type I would say not how it was cooked; staff is friendly but was not really able to help with recommendations. They also gave me a raw egg without explanation--I think it's for the soup? Good place to try, but if you are not familiar with the food (I am not), you are on your own. Portion was also way larger than expected--good and bad...

We sampled crunchy California rolls, Hawaiian, Alaskan, rainbow, and shrimp rolls. We filled the barbecue with the rest of the meat and dug in. Round 2 was more brisket, bulgogi, pork and beef belly. Until everyone was nearly stuffed. Finished off with some smores and Gelato. Total came to $38 per person, for food, drinks, tax,and tip. A fantastic deal for AYCE Japanese BBQ and sushi. That finally changed today, and I'm already thinking about how I can come back again. To put it bluntly, Heritage is the best BBQ spot in OC. Heritage is located in downtown SJC, with plenty of street parking around the area. They have a bunch of outdoor seating next to the ordering station, and it looks like they're also expanding to have some more seating soon. The staff are all super friendly, and take the time to thank everyone for their patience while waiting. On the topic of waiting, they tend to get very busy around lunch time and on the weekends, so plan your visit accordingly (you can order stuff online in advance, so I'd recommend trying that too). I came about 15 minutes after opening and waited for about 30 minutes (the heat today sucked, but it wouldn't be a terrible wait on a normal day). On the food front, I tried the Tri-Tip, Brisket, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Baby Back Ribs, Sausage of the Day, Mac & Cheese, and Potato Salad. The Tri-Tip was the best I've ever had (it was insanely tender and flavorful), and the Brisket was the best I've had in California (super flavorful and tender). The Ribs and Pulled Pork Sandwich were excellent as well, along with the sides. The Sausage was a slight miss - the flavors were great but the meat was on the grainy side. Regardless, this was the best BBQ I've had in recent memory and it was absolutely worth the wait. I will say that this place is very expensive for BBQ, so come with some friends so you can try a few things. I'd recommend getting the Brisket, Tri-Tip, Ribs, Potato Salad, Mac & Cheese, and a piece of cornbread. I can't recommend this place enough, and hope everyone can have a chance to try it. If you're in the OC and craving BBQ, then this is the spot to try.

Not that I can say I'm all that surprised in hindsight, but it's still kind of a shame. Mostly because I just wish the food had been better, but also because, despite how impressive the OC food scene is, I hadn't come across any BBQ joints/Cantonese restaurants that SF has so many of until randomly stumbling across this place! Then again, maybe I've just been too distracted by the many Taiwanese options that the Bay Area is so criminally short on... Compared to some of the Chinese BBQ joints that I frequent in the Bay Area, this place felt so much newer and a whole lot cleaner/nicer. That said, while the menu appeared to be a whole lot narrower, they still had a decent selection of offerings to choose from. Along with their nearly twenty different sides/snack dishes, which include items like pig ears with chili sauce, cucumber salad, chicken wings, wontons in chili oil, and tofu skin salad, they also had BBQ meats, like Roasted Duck, Soy Sauce Chicken, and Char Siu, a mix of rice and noodle dishes, and combination plates of their BBQ meats over rice or noodles. Sadly, though, no crispy skin roast pork, which was a huge bummer. -- SWEET FRIED CORN Admittedly, this initially didn't catch my eye, but I'm glad we ended up trying it. Every piece was crispy and I liked how sweet and flavorful the corn was. Plus, it was how this wasn't all that oily, though, I wouldn't have minded a bit more batter for some added crunch. -- WONTONS IN CHILI OIL Not too shabby. Although the skins felt a little overcooked, each piece was fairly plump and I thought the filling was pretty tasty. It was also unexpected to see a bit of broth with the chili oil, but it had a nice flavor to it and just the right amount of spice. -- TWO BBQ ITEM RICE PLATE with Char Siu and Roasted Duck I was the most excited for this, but it left me feeling conflicted. On the plus side, the bowl had a fair amount of both meats and the duck was really good - really juicy and the skin was golden brown. On the other hand, the char siu was super fatty and the rice was mushy. -- DICED GROUND PORK ON RICE...$13.99 More solid than spectacular, but still satisfying enough. Like with the BBQ plate, the meat to rice ratio favored the former and I thought the egg and the veggies complemented this well. At the same time, I wish this had more sauce to it, as the pork look a little dry/pale. In addition to how convenient it was to come here (there was a steady crowd, but it never got packed inside), I appreciated how fast our food came out. Also, I'm not sure if we just got lucky, but it wasn't nearly as hard to find a space in the complex's parking lot as it seemed it would be. Between all of that, the food being decent, and the relatively friendly service, Frank's BBQ & Noodles wasn't bad for some Chinese BBQ. However, it definitely could've been better, especially if Roast Pork had been one of their offerings!

Anyway, hubby heard about a promo through AM 570 where if you dine in and whisper "570," you get their promo sando with a side AND a drink for $5.70, normally around $18! At that price, it's practically free, so obviously we had to investigate. We made sure to get there right before opening and waited about 10 minutes. Luckily, there were only two other parties ahead of us. While standing there, I couldn't help but notice that this entire food center is literally smack dab in the middle of residential homes. I feel for the poor neighbors next door and across the street who probably have to deal with all the traffic and noise pollution. Thank goodness I don't live here. WELL...back to me and my food. As soon as the doors opened, they immediately started taking orders. Smoke Queen is basically fast casual with no indoor seating, but they have a cute backyard patio that probably seats around 30 people. If that's full, you can wander into the surrounding outdoor food hall--which I later discovered is Cottage Industries--where there are plenty of little seating areas scattered around. The only thing that is NOT plentiful? Parking. More on that another time. For the promo, I got the brisket sando with dirty rice, and hubby got the pulled pork sando with cornbread, both with fountain drinks. After ordering, we waited about 10 minutes before our little ringer buzzed and our food was ready. First thing I appreciated: the sandos don't come drowning in BBQ sauce. THANK YOU. You can add as much or as little as you want, which is perfect for people like us who aren't huge fans of super sweet BBQ sauces. My brisket was tender and well made, although for some reason I couldn't really taste much smoke. I swear I have this problem at BBQ places--am I the problem?! Either way, the meat itself was good, and their BBQ sauce had a nice balance of tartness and flavor that really helped bring the sandwich together without overpowering it. The dirty rice was also good, although I expected a little more umph. It seemed like a genius way to make use of all those precious little brisket and pulled pork bits left behind from cutting the meats--instead of letting those scraps go to waste, throw them into some rice! I fully support using every last morsel of BBQ goodness. BUT...if that's the idea, give me more of those meat pieces! Mine could've definitely used a little more. Hubby's pulled pork was good as well, but again...where's the smoke?! Maybe it's just our taste buds. Overall, the meats were tender, the food was good, the people were nice, and for $5.70, this promo was an absolute STEAL. At the normal price point, though, while I thought everything was well made, nothing quite grabbed me enough that I'd be rushing back anytime soon. Still, I'm glad we finally discovered Smoke Queen after apparently being the last people on Yelp to know it existed.
