Turkey bacon egg and cheese on a roll
    Michelle T.

When I walked in it smelled soo good! The service was great and fast. Everything looked clean and orderly. I ordered a (crispy) turkey bacon egg & cheese on a roll, it was perfect! Had to leave a review all the way from CA, can't wait to go back.

Really enjoy this place for a quick breakfast- Bacon, Egg & Cheese on a croissant. The food is made fresh and is "yum yum" at a fair price point. The place is always very clean, the staff is very professional and I overall enjoy my experience. I will be back to try the Mexican menu.

I stopped by here in the AM. Seems like a lot of people come here. I got a grilled cheese. Grilled cheese was $3.75 and they burned the toast.

I love getting my breakfast from here. My go-to order is either a toasted plain bagel with veggie cream cheese or two croissants with butter. The prices are the best in the area! Their service is super fast too! Highly recommend.

Stopped in here for the first time, and last time, this morning. A "toasted" bagel is apparently a bagel smooshed (literally) in a panini press. So you get a slightly grilled outside and a mushy bread inside. The bagel itself was the size of a McDonald's Happy Meal burger. I normal order light on my cream cheese since I'm not a huge fan of it, and forgot this time. No worries. I received super light minuscule cream cheese without even having to ask! How generous! So one child sized smooshed bagel and an orange juice was $6 here. Should have waited for a Happy Meal instead. At least I could have had fries with it....

Got the Nova, Cream Cheese, and Tomato on a bagel. I thought I had gotten the wrong order because the bag was warm, when I went outside to eat I found out that they had put the bagel in the panini press. I wouldn't have ever asked for it that way but I must say I really enjoyed it served that way. Great sandwich. Place was clean and many police officers were also getting their lunch there, I find that they know the best local places to eat.

    Eggs with Chorizo on rye

I came to this place sons ago when it was fro-yo and food and often had the frozen yogurt (never the food.) since then they have clearly changed owners and redone the place. No more dessert, now more of a place for breakfast and lunch. They also put a Tex mex spin on it - but I stuck with the basics. Egg whites with chorizo on rye. Nothing fancy but I enjoyed it. The bread was slightly toasted, which I appreciated. They didn't skip on the egg whites and the chorizo was juicy. I would come here again for a sandwich when in the area. Filled me up nicely - good start to the day!

Disgusting drink they call a Orange Crush Smoothie.

I came here excited to have another flavor only to discover they carry only those three flavors. When I asked the cashier about the bagel of the day she said there wasn't one. After we ordered I then realized that they had both salt bagels and blueberry bagels. Why did she not tell us that? We also tried to order a cheese bun because we saw them on trays having just been removed from the oven. However the staff member told us they were out of cheese buns. The sandwich was great. The tomato jam was generously applied and they weren't stingy with the avocado. The challah and babka were both really nice! The challah is on the sweet side. I bet both would be even better microwaved. They have a bit of a gluten free vibe to the texture still, but are overall great compared to store bought. Our lattes came out quickly. No utensils, and they don't give napkins with your order. Bathroom is not very accessible. High sink, no hooks or grab bars. No seating for breakfast or lunch. It was extremely busy on a Sunday at lunchtime.

They put mustard, pickled peppers and pickled cucumbers. I'm really curious as to why the mustard is added. The mustard is very good but it overpowered the whitefish (maybe the employee making my sandwich put too much on?). The bagel and mustard together felt like I was eating a pretzel with mustard. The whitefish was good but again lost amongst all the other ingredients. The packaging they use is different. The sandwich was wrapped and placed standing up on a box. It wasn't so easy to wrap and put back in what I didn't finish. I also had to try the pastries. I had a muffin and shashoka bureka. The muffin was really good but didn't need the cheese filling. It has only one store, which is found on Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side of New York City, - and it has changed very little over the past 120+ years. Most famous for its Smoked Fish, especially its Smoked Sturgeon, Barney Greengrass has an extensive menu along this line, offering mostly cured fish items, either in sliced form, or as smoked fish salads. However there is a small list of meat sandwiches that are offered as well, making Barney Greengrass yet another great Jewish Deli in NYC that is NOT Kosher. During my numerous visit between 1976 and 1999, the service at Barney Greengrass has always been friendly and informative. It made me feel like I was a regular here, even during my fist visit. I always make sure to get one the platters, which can be any combination of three smoked fish items. Usually select the Sturgeon, the Nova, and the White Fish, which comes two Bagels. I found it good to get a large of their amazing Borscht as well, as a refreshing pallet cleanser. And just to mix things up a bit, I once slit a Pastrami Sandwich, whish was on the small side for an NYC Deli, but was delicious that it was well worth price. Other items of is their Pickled Herring Salad, their White Fish Salad, and especially their Latkes (potato pancakes). I'm so glad Broad Nosh Bagels & Deli popped up in my search, as it was exactly what I was looking to enjoy. A couple of us trekked the few blocks to find the storefront. Inside it was PACKED, and several groups and lines snaked around the dividers. But the line moved quickly between customers picking up to-go meals and placing orders at the counters. The display cases are beautiful and feature so many different kinds of cream cheese. (Who knew you could make a whole vat of Biscoff?) They also had many types of smoked fish and toppings for customers filing through. Once you order food, you take your ticket to the register where you can add any drinks. This also went fairly quickly. Food and drink order numbers were called out and checked with the receipts, although they called out a set of orders for several minutes and no one came to pick them up. There are a few tables there, but since customers wait to grab drinks and food near the front, the couple tables at the front were basically for crowd control. I definitely wouldn't try to eat there unless I happened to be going at a quieter time. I got the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was exactly what I had been craving. Their bagels are a quarter pound each, so you might even get two meals out of it if you have a fridge for storage. But even as good as the bagel was, the hot chai latte with oat milk was the star for me. It was so incredibly layered for flavor and fragrant, just lightly sweet. I would go out of my way on a trip to NYC just to get one of these for breakfast! We all really enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return.

This location 167 West 74th Street is the original brick and mortar storefront. Levain Bakery does validate for all the hype, sweetness indulgence and fresh-baked artesian cookies and baked goodies. I am Cookie Monster from "Sesame Street" whose eyes are bigger than his stomach who becomes highly excited to engulf all cookies thrashing, splattering every where in mere minutes. There was a short line waiting to enter for orders to be placed. Upon entering the air conditioning is at full artic chill blast and the air has a sweet aromatic odor emanating throughout. I inquired with the sales associate if the classic chocolate chip cookie contained any nuts who responded "no." I do not have any food allergies. I absolutely do not like nuts in any form. I am not allergic to nuts either. It is not my cup of tea. I am very grateful the classic chocolate chip cookie does not contain any nuts. Customer service is very attentive and exhibited patience with time to explain and listen to my requests and needs. I was not rushed. I was acknowledged. I was seen. I was heard. I was not dismissed. I was respected without the standard producing a disgruntled face of reluctance to service me. I am one life in the smallest measurement. The female associate permitted me to take photos of the cookies in the display case without questions which is posted with this review. Merchandise of T-shirts, tote bags, mugs, gift tin boxes are available for sale as well. This location is small as it is take-out and go. There are several steps going downward at the entrance which is not ADA accessible. There are some outdoor benches for seating, but no table. I suggest to order and consume in the comfort of your own home for full immerse enjoyment with a table. Yes, cash is accepted as that works greatly for me. Levain Bakery complies with "Prohibition of Cashless Establishments" as of March 21, 2026 where all retail and food establishments in New York State, including New York City, must accept in-person cash payments. Thank you, Levain Bakery for not giving me a red card! I was not blatantly ejected. I would surely return for another visit. Chocolate chip cookie $5.75 each One word: WOW! The interior was oozing with semi-sweetness. The cookie is gargantuan and very thick somewhat bulky. It is massive size well known weighing exactly 6 ounces (170 g) each and measure about 8-10 cm. in diameter and 3-4 cm thick. It is not a traditional flat cookie as I hoped. It is massive chewy interiors. It is soft. It is not crispy. Levain takes the classic chocolate chip cookie and make it their version. It did break apart and dropped onto my plate upon the third bite. It is amazing! I suggest warm-up the cookie in the microwave for approximately 1 minute. I purchased two (2) quantity of these delightful chocolate chip cookies. Delicious. I enjoyed mine with one glass of red wine which I did achieved equanimity state of mind -- I was floating.
