I'm a donut snob. I proclaim this and have come to terms with the fact. I didn't think I was going to write a review for this place. I went to grab a dozen donuts for my film shoot to make people happy. All the other donut places refused to take credit cards and I had no cash, and finally, I found this place. I ordered ahead and asked for just a dozen donuts variety. I came by, picked them up right away, and took them to my cast and crew. THEY. LOVED. THEM. And I loved them too. These were fresh, doughy goodness in a glorious cardboard box. They were fresh and not too sweet and AWESOME. I came pretty early, so maybe that's why they were so fresh...but they were great. I really like Yum- Yum's, but I usually go to the one in Hollywood. I decided to try the one in Burbank because it's much closer to me. My experience wasn't horrible, but I was definatly not impressed. I ordered six mini donuts (my usual) they were not fresh, to me they tasted like they've been siting out for a few days. The main reason I came was because I love their cookies and cream ice blended. Of course, the one in Burbank doesn't have those. :( read more

I came here on 1/20 a little past midnight and the only person working (person who was making donuts) was on his phone. I knocked on the window, he looked at me and then went back to texting. I waited 5 minutes and did not end up getting any donuts. I loudly asked whether the store was open while he was texting and received no immediate response. He then opened the cashier's window after finishing up whatever he was doing on his phone. As I walked away in disgust, he opened the cashier's window and said "yes this is open" and I asked why he ignored me for 5 minutes, he looked at my like I was crazy and turned away and returned to his phone. Came here for donuts and a fresh squeezed orange juice. Left with a nice Dozen of variety as far as donuts go. I can't say much about the "Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice". I made the mistake of tasting it when I arrived back at my house just to find out it was watered down with tons of sugar. It tasted like crap and for the price it's a rip off. If you get any of their so-called fresh juices make sure you taste it first. I love my fresh juices but hate being taken advantage of when promoting fresh and it's not really fresh. I love Yum Yum, but their doughnuts nowadays appear to have less icing on them and this to me is making the taste quality go down a lot. This is the reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars. This review is only for the doughnuts since I've never tried their other products. Last couple of months, all the original glazed doughnuts barely had any sugar on them and if they did, it was just a few drops. Being slow low, you can't even tell if any sugar is present at all! It's really a big disappointment. Plus if I wanted a doughnut without icing I would order that, but that's not the case. I think the issue is with the new employees not being trained enough on how to prepare them correctly. I see like Yum Yum for their other doughnut options and the fact that they are open at any hour. Not a fan of Donuts but Love coffee! I go there every morning as a ritual, the owners are there every day and I enjoy talking to them. I get their fresh coffee in the morning and sometimes a a plain croissant or a plain chocolate cake ... yum! I love to support a local business, and of course it helps that this place is on my way to work! The place always looks clean, although not a place where one can go and sit with family since there is no sitting area inside. ( 2 tables outside) read more

Donuts 24/7! Yes, that's 24 hours a day. The quality of what they offer is typically fantastic. I have bought several apple fritters that were raw in the middle and burned on the outside. On the whole, this place does a fine job. Be prepared to wait a few minutes if the person working is cooking up donuts. It's just part of what lets them be open 24/7. I've been here a number of times. Sometimes the donuts are better than others. But lately the place has taken a turn for the worse. I went there and the person serving us either was on way too many drugs to understand what was going on or he only speaks a little English and doesn't understand words as simple (and related to donuts) as "chocolate." We only got 6 donuts and he tried grabbing the wrong ones 4 times and then I got home and there were still 2 of the donuts wrong that I didn't notice. I went back another time recently and they had croissants and some pastries but NO DONUTS. Okay, so it's been nearly 7 weeks(yes I've been counting) for a strawberry banana chillas..as you walk up to order the only two giant sized posters (covering the entire piece of glass) is the new Oreo chillas and the Strawberry Banana Chillas. Wow! I've been coming here for months since my office moved to the area. I ordered ham and cheese croissant with out the ham for months. My daily morning stop before work. Being a fan of starbucks, I prefer regular coffee from YUM YUM anyday. The morning staff are super friendly and always have my coffee ready when they see me in line. Highly recommend the Old Fashion Chololate donut. Parking is a struggle at times since the lot is small. read more
