While most people try to develop better habits to start the new year, I have somehow slipped into worst ones. I choose to call them more delicious ones. Saturday morning has become my day for ordering donuts via Uber Eats. It's a new habit that I can't seem to shake as I was never a "donut guy" but I'm simply rolling with it at this point until the scale tells me to stop. There is absolutely nothing special about Yum Yum and the donuts are simply standard. That being said, they're damn delicious and I have to regulate myself. I'll take down two of them and then I have to force myself to be done. That doesn't seem to last long and then I end up eating a few more as the day goes on. Nothing spells "Happy Friday" like donuts! And no one does it better than Yum Yum donuts off Federal Blvd! They serve up some of the best quality donuts in town! They're fresh and airy with a nice crisp! Our favorites are maple bars, chocolate twists, crumble, and the old fashioned. Their coffee is good too! We've been coming here for years and this place has never disappointed! Open 24hrs / 7 days per week. They offer specialty breakfast bagel sandwiches as well (which are fire). Prices are reasonable! Service is always great! And the staff are super friendly and helpful! Shop is clean. And there's plenty of seating areas inside. The atmosphere is lively (especially in the wee morning hours). Got an Oreo, pink sprinkle, vanilla and strawberry cronut. All delicious; I love the density of the donuts as they're all cake like. I've been driving past this place for over 7 years on my way to work and I finally went in. WOW!! It was about 5 in the morning and I was surprised by how bright it was inside. Not blinding, but it sparkled. No crumbs in the floor, the table tops or the counter. It was so clean and I could smell the donuts before I entered. I ordered a chocolate twist and an old fashioned. We've been coming here for years for donuts but I was craving a bagel this morning so decided to see what they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised to see they not only have several flavors of bagels, but a ton of different sandwich options as well. I ordered the bacon, lettuce, tomato, cream cheese (BLTCC) on a garlic bagel and a black iced coffee so I could add my own creamer. This no-frills donut shop is just like the one of my childhood, with a HUGE glass display case of donuts to greet you as soon as you walk in. I had a plain glazed (the standard by which I judge all donut shops), a strawberry with sprinkles (I am a child), and a dozen (their dozen is actually 14) powdered donut holes (I am a child who loves entemann's garbagey donuts from the grocery store). The donut holes were perfectly fine; great for just tossin' right down the gullet as a sugary treat. The cake was a touch dry but they certainly served their purpose. Please tell this staff to treat black families with the same respect and dignity that they treat white women. I took my daughter here. While we were finishing our order, the lady helping us literally turned her back and started doing something else and a white lady behind us in line was helped. She was doing that impatient thing. My daughter and I stood there unhelped and when I stated the obvious, they tried to deny it. I really like this Yum Yum because every time I come in the service is great. The guys are helpful and willing to explain everything from the fresh juices to their shakes. My biggest problem here is that it can be pretty hard to get inside this plaza because of it's location. If you're heading west on Federal it's no problem but if you're going east on Federal you can forget it. Some of my favorite donuts are maple anything, bear claw, the juices and apple crumb. They have other drinks that are canned but I wish they had bigger bottles of milk. They are open 24/7 which is great but at the same time I don't know if I would want to work in this area and have my business open 24/7. read more

Donuts. I do enjoy this treat occasionally. Every time I stare through the glass case to survey the display, I try to convince myself to check out a different donut, but I usually end up with the same. Yum Yum falls in the middle of the pack. Reliable shop and prices seems fair. The donuts aren't ultra fancy or wild, but they have the basics covered. When I visited, they had plenty of donut holes too, which are perfectly sized bites for Mini-me. Customer service was efficient and friendly with a smile. A great way to start a busy morning. I was craving something sweet and being in the area, I quickly came in to grab a donut to satisfy my craving. The place was quiet, and I was surprised to see the variety of donuts still available during the mid afternoon. I asked for the chocolate covered donut sprinkled with copped nuts. (see pic) The donuts was good. The breading was moist and the chocolate sweet . The peanuts were crunchy and nutty. They went perfect with the chocolate. The donut cost .85 cents. They have everything from the bubble gum glazed to plain sprinkled sugar donuts (often referred to by my best friend as the OG)! I walked in with my boyfriend and from the start the lady had an attitude and seemed very passive aggressive. She kept huffing and puffing when I asked which flavor one of the donuts was bc it was filled and she gave attitude while I was just asking a simple question. The donuts weren't as good honestly. I usually come but this time they seemed old and not fresh at all. I just felt rushed even though it was just us and some other lady who cut us and had order a green juice. The only reason I stayed was bc I was really craving a donut and it was near by. I wouldn't necessarily recommend unless you're desperate.
