Really cool place for some delicious ice cream. Really helpful service and cool place to hang out to enjoy my food.

Cold stone, while it can get pricey is always a great stop for something sweet! All workers there that I've encountered are polite and give great service! Icecream is always yummy and I've never had a problem tasting or trying new flavors.

I wrote a review in October about the Cold Stone in Grossmont Center and how a rude worker almost ruined my son's 8th birthday. After that terrible experience my 8-year-old and his brother still wanted their ice cream. After telling my friend about my horrific experience at Grossmont, he recommended the Cold Stone off College. My sons and I went and boy was the experience a total 180. From the moment we walked in the door the we could tell the energy was different. The gentlemen behind the counter welcomed us with a smile. My son told them it was his birthday and they wished him a happy birthday and made him feel special. They prepared my son's ice cream and gave them a little something extra. I never told them about my Grossmont experience but they really turned around the evening. The boys were so excited about the different experience they asked if they could eat the ice cream right there instead of at home. I said yes and they were in heaven. Thanks to the College Cold Stone for turning the night around and making an 8-year-old feel special. THIS IS OUR NEW COLD STONE! Below is a pic of the boys enjoying their ice cream.

I was craving Cold Stone and wasn't sure where to find a location until I "Yelped." I was so happy to see there was a location not far from where I was. Turns out we had been driving pass this location for a long time not knowing it was there. I purchased my favorite "coffee" ice cream with pecans. This location was not busy at all but I would imagine it gets pretty busy because it's near the San Diego State University. The young lady helping us was super friendly and offered us samples of the flavors to help our decision making process. I am so glad I found this Cold Stone thanks to Yelp.

I'm usually tasked with buying the cake for all our office birthdays, and today, I was looking for an ice cold cake, fitting for this rainy day. I called ahead of time to see if they had a strawberry-flavored cake for pick up since that is the birthday gal's favorite. The woman who answered (Margaret?) was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She began, "Oh yes, we have it in the 6-inch round which serves about 8 ppl and an 8-inch round, which serves about 14." She gave me the pricing and then began to describe a cake called, "Strawberry Passion." Moist red velvet cake, strawberry ice cream & graham cracker crust w/ strawberry puree wrapped in fluffy strawberry frosting---" She barely finished describing it, and I said, "Great! I'm on my way!" *click* I was all set with this one until I realized there were 2 other strawberry options. One had a raspberry flavoring to it, which I didn't like, so I read the other one: "Strawberry Cheesecake Paradise" Hmmm...paradise huh? I kept reading: "Layers of moist yellow cake, CARAMEL, strawberry ice cream mixed with GRAHAM CRACKER PIE CRUST and cheesecake ice cream mixed with strawberries wrapped in FLUFFY frosting and topped with strawberries and CHOCOLATE CURLS" http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cold-stone-creamery-san-diego-9?select=jr5gK8oMEp9fL_y1xQ4ckA#zTz1w4uKXYv9UMHpjEmUog "Um, you know what? I'll take this one instead" I was then politely asked if I wanted that cake in 6 in or 8 in and that I could choose from yellow, purple, or pink. She even did the writing in a red icing to match the strawberries on the cake! How sweet! Service was absolutely excellent & she even gave me a little booklet of their classic cakes so I can see what flavors they'll have for pickup ahead of time! So considerate! I've been to this location about 5 times and every time the service is great and the staff here are very knowledgeable about their products and professional. It's also very clean. The Strawberry Paradise cake did not disappoint. It had a great combo of complementary flavors and did not taste like your avg ice cream cake. The 2 types of ice cream + moist yellow cake +caramel & delish frosting made it absolutely perfect. Most of our office is on a diet right now, but every single person had a piece and LOVED IT. A few coworkers even wrote down the name of the cake so they can get it next time for themselves! I am usually not a fan of strawberry desserts, but this yummy cake changed my mind! I'm in love....

That interaction really put a damper on things, but we eventually ordered a few scoops and a few cookies. Thought the cookies were spot on again (warm from the oven). I thought it was tasty as well as their coffee, however my coffee wasn't filled up all the way. It is strong and their roast is bold!
