First time here and we loved it! The owner had taken time to go around the area to talk with other business owners before opening up. After finding out I was vegan, he asked what types of things we eat and when they opened, I was so excited to see vegan options! I finally had the chance to stop by Yummies to see what the hype was all about, This place is simply amazing, & clean from the moment I walked in the staff was very welcoming & has outstanding customer service ... I order the Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad & my husband order Yummy Burger, our food was fresh off the grill & DELICIOUS, my husband said his burger was like a home made burger seasoned very well with a nice favor to it, my chicken was perfect.. we were both pleased with our food & services, I am so glad they bought this kind of restaurant to the south side.. If you live on the south side go check them out you would love it..I will definitely be back very soon.... read more

Delicious food and amazing experience! This family is so friendly, charming, and accommodating. (Shout out to James and Jasmine for really going over the top for us). The VEGAN impossible Philly cheese steak (yes, they even have vegan cheese!) is tooo good. Really, I did NOT mean to eat the whole thing, yet here I am, happy & satisfied. I visited Yummies because I heard they have the famous Impossible Burger. I stopped by on my lunch and it was absolutely amazing! The employees were very friendly, professional and welcoming! I'll definitely be back for the Impossible Burger and to try out some of the other "yummie" items on their menu. read more

The food is so tasty. So far, my favorite is the turkey burger with turkey bacon & fries. If you want the texture & flavor of a regular burger without the guilt, order this one. I can eat the whole thing & not feel sluggish & sleepy afterward. Delish! read more

Tried it today because I was in the mood for something new. IT WAS SO GOOD, I had the seafood pasta and honestly it was made with love! Everyone was friendly and welcoming as soon as I entered. April 19, 2019 Visited Yummies on April 18, 2019. Very disappointed about the entire visit. The choice of food was very limited,looked dry or over cooked. I ordered the philly cheesesteak and fries. No real taste, meat was not well cooked, seasoning was bad,fries were not done, still kind of raw. The cook had a 4 inch beard with no hairnet over top of the food. The food counter needed lights so the food could really be seen and the light may have made the food look more inviting. The waitress needed more training, she seemed nervous, had a ring in her nose and too many tattoos showing. One person who may have been a cook and owner never spoke, the two other waitresses never acknowledged me or the one other customer inside. One of them stayed on the phone looking at something. This is a great place to eat. The food is out of this world amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a large group with children so our menu choices were very varied and every single thing we had was very, very good. the service is trash, i walk in and get no greeting all while the lady at the counter is looking dead at me with no expression just blank & soulless. i get to the counter happy & ready to order & look around for the menu.. i dont see one so i ask.. she hits the table with her disgusting finger nail at a menu thats should be on the wall.. still at this point i get no words from her... so i start to order & it all just seemed like an inconvenience or as if i were not welcomed. i finish with the order and the first words that came out of her mouth were " cash or card", whole time the lady didn't even look me in the face let alone the eyes... it felt as if she hated her job.. i came in polite smiling and ready to order & eat... at this point im questioning should i even continue with purchasing the food. the audacity for the screen to ask me for a tip yeah here's a tip, hire people that want to work & aren't stuck up.. the girl that came out and brought me my food was much more alive & down to earth, greeted me handed me my food was polite & sent me on my way. the lightskin lady need to take notes . i have a big following as a food critique and this will be getting a bad review just for the customer service alone. Okay so here we go, I've been following this place on IG since their grand opening and have been dying to try it. So today I finally got around to trying to out, I arrived exactly at 4pm and they were just getting dinner out, decided to leave and come back while the mac n cheese finished baking. Came back and got 2 Oxtail dinner specials, with cabbage, and mac n cheese. And let me tell you I'm so glad I came back. What I recieved for the price was well worth it. My oxtails were tender and nicely seasoned, with a little kick. The rice and beans was average no complaints. My cabbage was so good. It wasnt mushy and a nice flavor. The mac n cheese was good as well. It's hard for me to find mac outside my own that I enjoy, and this place definitely does it justice. This being a black owned business makes me feel even better coming and spending my money. I'll definitely will be back. My only complaint is that I wish I knew what day if the week they were going to have Salmon because the pics have me drooling. read more

I tried this place today and it was just a little challenging to find the right words to express my experience. I will say this.....I would love to support our black businesses, however it is a choice that we all make and not a given...... so to the businesses that want the support from the community..... you HAVE to do better? I would be willing offer my time and support voluntarily if necessary. Please, go and visit some of the other businesses that have had success and step up to the standards and equivalents of a service oriented establishment. I don't know if I would go back but the flavor of what I did try was good. read more

Ordered their "Impossible vegan burger". This isn't the actual impossible burger although they charge the same price as one. It tastes like a non-vegan, non-vegetarian burger. I ordered it with sweet potato fries that we're good. They had other hot food items sitting out. Everything that wasn't dried out looked pretty good. Don't waste your time if you're looking for and expecting a vegan burger or an Impossible burger. Also they don't have vegan cheese. read more
